What do you think?

Before Limbo
When the weight of the world hangs around your neck,
you'd be surprised how far you're willing to go
to make sure it stays there.
Mira?
She was willing to go to hell, literally.

I really wanted to love this book. I did find it comparable to A.E. Kirk Hex Boys books, but we don't know if it is reverse harem yet or not. I don't understand how at least one review stated it was.
I know it is hard to find errors for something you wrote (and I am not picky when it comes to grammar) but there were a few errors that I am sure a couple of beta readers could have pointed out.
I found the story to have a lot of wholes and jumped around. On one page Mira is being attacked/beaten and on the next page she is waking up and finding four naked Stars bathing each other. How did she get there. I found a lot of wholes like this. No transition or explanation on how she got from one place to the other.
I was confused as to who the love interest was suppose to be out of the two brothers. One the author seemed to have hinted that Mira is his love born again and the other brother she has kissed and showed interest in.
Too many names (and similar starting with same letters) to remember in the story. It was hard to keep track on who was who.
I know some things are supposed to be left unanswered, so the reader will tune in for the next in the series, but I felt nothing was explained. You are left with a bunch of unanswered questions and confusion for all the plot/ story line holes when the book is finished.

About a 4.5 for me. My favorite things are all in this book: boarding schools, sassy main characters, demons, and reverse harem!
The story was fun and kinda creepy, the writing style was pretty simple and easy to devour. I loved Mira's best friends, and I immediately connected with their characters and their sense of personality. I think of everyone, they really made the story real for me in the beginning. The MC was interesting, roughly adorable and cool. At first I had a hard time emotionally connecting with her in the beginning when I so obviously felt her bffs, but when I found out why- my mind was blown. It was a weird character development thing but through the writing than her actions, if that makes sense. I really liked it.
It's more action and adventure than romance, at least personally for me. Still, there were a lot of funny/hot interactions with the new guys of Effulgent. ARIS. *coughs* They were a lot of different personalities and I was surprised by how much some of them changed by the end of the story. I won't go into them for spoilers sake, but I will say that I was thoroughly entertained. So if you love any of the above mentioned, totally check it out.

Hmmmmmmmm, hm, hm
Now that was a tasty read. Honestly, I'd put the book at 4.5 over a five, but I like it too much to make it only a 4. There were some parts were I felt a little more time spent with a character and Mira would have further developed their relationship so I could've connected more. Additionally, because of this and the large cast of characters some characters blend a bit (like, I know there is an A named character who is male and an A named character who is a female, though I can't even remember when or how the female A named character was introduced).
However, it's not a big bother at all because let me say, when that second book drops it's going right into my hands before it ever hits the TBR pile.
The story is good, and for fans of the Divincus Nex series, there's a similar vibe. Well worth the read all around!
P.S. the dudes are fantastically hot. Hmmmmmmm!

2.5 stars Had the basis for a really good story but was somewhat disjointed and confusing. I think a good editor to help smooth out the rough edges and confusing bits (of which there were many) would have made a world of difference. Whilst I was interested in the story and the characters things jumped around quite a bit and nothing was ever properly explained. It is ok to leave some questions unanswered for the next book but quite honestly I was left confused about almost everything. I couldn’t even figure out how old Mira was. She said a couple of times she wasn’t in high school yet the boarding school certainly had a high school feel to it up to enforced PE class.

okay where do I start? Pretty hard.
Here goes nothing.
Mira is awesome, not clumsy or idiotic. I love her because she is realistic, no one wants the weight of the world on her or his shoulders and you don't want freaking bodyguards! (even though they're hot as hell) That said Lux is definitely the one for me even though Cas had a certain....feel to it. I loved the group of boys but I liked Aym especially (I am not going to mention Lux again) He was just too cute even though he's almost naked.
this book had a lot of similarities with The Divinicus Nex Chronicles
1. sassy main character
2. group of hot guys who are guarding her
and 3. the storytelling
But all that weren't cons! quite the opposite The Divinicus Nex Chronicles are one of my absolute favourite series of all time. So I really couldn't care less especially because the story was very different than that of the chronicles.
I can be a real bitch and say that some of the comma's were misplaced but honestly I'm really bad myself at that and once I got used to the occasionally misplaced one or a typing error (wich can happen to anyone, mind you critics 😉)the story is actually a funny and entertaining read.
It has action a itty bit of romance some mystery little bit of drama and of course a bitchy girl. yup totally liked the book!
the only real downer is that I have no idea if there will be a second book (think so if I check the cliffhanger) and when that one will be coming out. Real frustrating.
I am so ready for the second instalment like come on folks I have read this beauty in one sitting, give me some more!
