WILL A DESPERATE PRESIDENT RISK WAR TO SAVE HIS ONLY CHILD? In Seoul, South Korea, the daughter of the President of the United States disappears aboard an automated bus carrying the spouses of the world’s most powerful nations, hacked by an unknown enemy with an unknown agenda. In order to save all that remains of his family, the widower president unleashes America’s elite Delta Force to save his daughter, yet the more they learn, the more the mystery deepens, witness upon witness declaring with certainty they never saw any kidnappers.
Only drones.
It’s a race against time to prevent all-out war between North and South Korea, and save the lives of the innocents aboard the bus, forcing the President to make decisions not in the best interest of his country and the world, but for the last remaining member of his family—his teenage daughter.
With over one million books sold, award winning and USA Today bestselling author J. Robert Kennedy has been ranked by Amazon as the #1 Bestselling Action Adventure novelist based upon combined sales. He is the author of over fifty international bestsellers including the smash hit James Acton Thrillers. He lives with his wife and daughter and writes full-time.
The story is good, fast paced and keeps you engaged, like all his books some of the same obvious scenes come up which seems to be a constant with this author.
No matter how big the problem is, the CIA analyst Chris and his girlfriend will make time for a quickie. CIA agent Dylan getting sick is fast becoming a staple in every story. Food poisoning again, nope didn't see that shocker coming. One of the characters meeting a potential new love only for them to die. It's not like hasn't happened more than once already in this series.
Yes this series (Delta) and the overall larger compilation (Acton) are well done with loads of action, it would be nice to be surprised by some of the regular support characters instead of knowing what they are going to do before they are introduced into the book.
Book 4 was a fun read and had errors throughout. The plot and characters are developed well. The plot was somewhat predictable but had a few nice twists. The characters are interesting and were told through different points of view. The back and forth was not too bad and kept with the story line better than the previous books. There was also not as much political information and preaching about views in this book, which made it more enjoyable to read. I look forward to the next book.
The drones and kidnapping just didn’t lend to itself to easy to follow reading. Too much of the techno explanation helped the reader remain in the dark for much of the story.
There is not a lot you can say when you have finished another cracking story with Delta Force. Again, taking a thought with technology and drones, the President and his daughter, put them all in S. Korea and away we go. Loved it!!
As always Robert Kennedy keeps you guessing. Really enjoy all of his books. You. Are always on the edge wondering if someone you like will get hurt. Also enjoy the inter actions of the family members.
