Mistake number one. Mistake number two…liking it too much. But they agreed to only one night. Simple enough, right? Wrong. He may be out of her bed, but their intense night together still burns in her memories. As long as she keeps her distance from the oh-so-desirable Xander Duval, everything will be okay. Unfortunately, fate won’t go along with her plan. (Restaurateur) Xander Duval agrees to Trinity’s “one night” stipulation, but only in theory. He has no intentions of not being with her again. Especially when his mind—nor body—will allow him to forget the fire that blazed between them until the wee hours of the morning. MY HEART
This was such a heart warming story and a little humorous as well. Trinity had no idea that going to a charity auction and make an exorbitant bid on Xander Duval by the request of her boss , who just happened to be his mother, would lead in to a life changing event.
Heck after winning the bid she even left the event without even taking advantage of sharing a meal and conversation with the handsome man☺️
After being being dump by some one she had dated for two years,Trinity wrote out a list as I read the list describing what she felt was the right man for her, I thought of Habakkuk 2:2-3
I don’t want to give away to much so I will say this. I was once told that “Love takes care of what it loves” Xander put that into action and it wasn’t just sexual. Coming from a 70 plus Romantic I want to say this was a well written,heartwarming , story that I truly enjoyed Thank you Joy Avery ❤️❤️ I look forward to reading more of your work

This book was so incredibly beautiful and sexy. The flow of it was so smooth and easy to read. The characters are well defined and put together.
The chemistry between Xander and Trinity was smoking hot. That’s because their friendship was built through a slow burn, until it ignited and singed.
Supporting characters were fun and non intrusive, and that made the story that much more entertaining. I loved this book, I think you will as well.

When It’s Right, It’s Right
Nothing better than an instant attraction and finding true love when you least expected. Xander and Trinity have a beautiful and complicated mix of friends to lovers after one steamy night love story. Xander was the perfect gentleman and fought hard for the woman he loved. He just needed her to do a little fighting on her end as well. Excellent read!

Genuine Love Overcomes Fear
Xander taught Trinity unconditional love, Roland taught her the fickleness of a noncommittal love, and Mina taught her the sting of temporary love with betrayal.
Numerous lessons were demonstrated and discussed within this novel, and each character depicted scenes in our actions in the real world.
I loved this novel and wish this dynamic author continued success in her dynamic writing career.

This was a love story about Trinity Hargrove and Xander Duvall who started out on a Charity Auction bid. Trinity made the bid for her boss and the romance began. It took much persuasion on Sender's part to convince her he was her happiness ever after since she'd been broken hearted previously.

Amazing read
I was pulled in from the first page til the last and I could have kept going. The ups and downs these two went thru were so realistic and the author had me laughing throughout the whole book. This was my first time reading her book but I’m glad to see she has more for me to enjoy

Cute story!!
Avery has a way of creating the most wonderful leading men in her stories who are steadfast, loyal, accomplished, protective and loving. Thank you for bring the qualities of so many good kings out here to your books. Xander is definitely a fave and his love and patience x with Trinity was a great read.

As always, Ms. Avery’s writing style is engaging and intriguing. Her characters feel like friends and family members. However, with that being said, Trinity definitely reminded me of that one friend that overthinks everything. You just want to say “Girrrrrl, get OUT of your own way!” I was over her by chapter 3. Sweetest Love Story

A good love story. Love the way Trinity and Zander met. He is THE man. Mrs Duval surely loves her son and it shows throughout the book. Short sweet and definitely to the point.

Riveting
did really like the way the story had some plot twists. I can usually figure out what’s going to happen but I got a little shocker. I would recommend this book for anyone who enjoys love.

This was such a good read. The instant attraction Xander and Trinity had for each other was sweet yet both of them had issues he was ready to move on but she was afraid. I didn't like Mina at all! I think Cicely Duval helped get through their issues.

Best book Bae of Summer 2024
Omg I loved this book. Xander was a true knight with a set of kitchen knives. Trinity's character reminds me of myself when it came to overthinking and analyzing everything. But love has a way of turning things around. This was an awesome read.

My Review for Another Man's Treasure by Joy Avery
Yes. Indeed. This book was amazing if I do say so myself. I stumbled upon this author and I'm very glad that I did. Joy Avery has a way of telling a love story that makes you feel like you have something at stake too. My heart beat, skipped beats, leapt and hurt right along with the main characters.
Trinity, still haunted by the pain of love that was ripped away, is not ready for the blessing that will insert himself into her shattered life. Ready or not, here he comes!

Too much
Trinity's internal dialogue got to be too much. She wrote a list of qualities that she wanted in a man then pushed away the man who met those qualities. Xander was awesome. He sense of humor had me LOL. At one point Trinity was too annoying that I began skipping pages and hoping that Xander would just leave her be. She just wasn't worth being with. I know dragging the story out increases the page count but it can also cause the reader to lose interest. I lost interest once Trinity found out about Mina and old boy, and pushed Xander away yet again. I skipped all the way to the end. I couldn't even be happy for the couple because Trinity had completely drained me with her foolishness.

Treasure Indeed...
Trinity and Xanders story was a sweet and very compassionate love story. The premise of the story was that Trinity worked for Cicely who was Xanders mother. Trinity and Xander agreed on a one night stand after a party. But the attraction was strong. So later when Trinity sustained an injury Xanders offered to help out for the few weeks. Well the time together made it impossible to ignore, so the relationship evolved. In the end they had the HEA as expected.. A nice story..

Absolutely wonderful!
The dialogue was so real and natural, not to mention grammatically correct. I find that the use of some "big" words (e.g. rotate) when using turn would be just , if not more, effective. Just a minor point.
What absolutely blew my mind, was Zaviars' ode near the end of the book.
I actually felt my heart squeeze. It was beautiful. If a man was ever to do that for me, I'd give him my heart without a second thought (provided there was all the background story). But then would the story have been as good. More, please!

I can never get enough of Ms Joy Avery books I ham a HUGE FAN and I have read every single one of her book. Xander is awesome and I think everyone woman would want someone one like him. One of the things that always draws me to her books are that they are based in various parts in NC where I have lived all of my life.
Ms Joy Avery I sure hope we will get at least 5 more books from you this year. Awesome Job Joy.

Finally!
Finally, writing that is about love, patience. Passion and real romance! I love African American story's that show what real men are capable of. I was almost ready to give up on African American authors because every story was about a thug, cheating, lies, and etc. that's not love but this story with Xander and Trinity was soooo damn perfect. It was about flaws and encompassing love! Thank you Mrs. Joy for giving me hope again! This book was sooo amazing.

Another mans treasure indeed
I loved this story because it shows that love sometimes comes in unlikely ways. Trinity had no idea what was I store for her after met Xander ! I love that Xander showed her true love and was even willing to wait because he knew where his heart lied. Great read!

Another man's Treasure ....
Was another awesome read from Joy Avery! I am so impressed with how her writing captures you from the 1st page to the last! Xavier's and Trinity's story will not disappoint. Real life situations with a happily ever after ... you just have to love it!
