Imogen starts out in this book a little lost. Not physically, but lost all the same. Her grandmother, the woman that raised and nurtured her, has recently passed. Living out her grandmother's dream of traveling the world, Imogen is in Thailand watching beautiful elephants and missing the only family she ever had. Once her trip is over, she's unsure of what to do next since it is hard to find a job as an environmentalist. She meets Corey, a tattooed hot looking man with a love of protecting those that can't protect themselves. What starts out with lust unfortunately is very short lived, because he's staying to fight against poachers, and she must return to the states. He offers to get her an interview with a company in Chicago, but also promises to come find her. She clings to that promise with everything since she feels such a strong pull to this hot and mysterious man.
When Imogen goes to her interview, she thinks she's looking at Corey, only to find out it his twin brother Noah, owner of the company she's interviewing for. Knowing next to nothing about Corey she shouldn't be surprised about this development, but she is. While they look exactly alike (minus the tattoos), their personalities seem very different. Corey is carefree and wild, while Noah is hard and controlling. She is drawn to both of them like a moth to a flame, but that leaves her even more confused. Should she hope against hope that the wayward brother Corey will keep his promise to come find her, or give in to Noah, who has made it very clear his desire to possess her?
This is such a great read! Imogen is a woman that knows what she wants, up until she's torn between these two twins. Even though nothing really happened in Thailand, she is determined to wait for a man she knows next to nothing about, except the way he makes her feel. When she finds out how infrequently he returns to Chicago, she is unsure of what to do, and you can tell how much it eats her up inside. Noah wants her so much, but he can't promise her forever, which puts more confusion into our heroine's head. Wait for the possibility of forever? Or take a short-term sure thing? The chemistry Imogen shares between these two brothers is instant and intense, as well as the steamy scenes. There is light BDSM in this book, but it's the emotional roller coaster that will really take its toll. You won't be disappointed reading Alice Ward.

This book has all the tropes that I dislike in a romance.
The hero, Noah, is a creep - so controlling that he microchips his employees. He later keeps track of the heroine via her microchip. For her own good, of course.
The heroine, Imogen, and the two side characters, Julia and Peter, are all without self respect.
The last two are Ivy League business graduates, but are willing to do work not even related to their qualifications for a year to 'build' their loyalty to the hero and thereby get better positions in his company, Peter as Noah's butler and Julia as Noah's personal assistant; this latter job, by the way, includes sleeping with Noah for the duration of the year!!
Imogen, who has a Master's Degree in Environmental Science, has a few quibbles in stepping into Julia's now vacated role and then has no problem with spending Noah's money on clothes and interior decoration.
Clearly, an expensive education doesn't give anyone ethics or intelligence if they are lacking the capacity in the first place.
Corey, Noah's twin, is tolerable, but a typical caricature of the rugged white man going to the third world to save everyone there.

This is the first book I've read by this author and I have to say that it was a great first impression. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from this book and I was unsure if I would enjoy it - I'm glad I decided to give it a chance though as I absolutely loved it. Torn is a great title for this book as it is about a woman who has fallen for two very different men - who happen to be twin brothers. There is a real depth of emotion here, I was in floods of tears at one point. The author constantly had me on the edge of my seat, and I never quite knew which direction the story was going to go in - which was a nice change from the usual predictable romances.
While traveling in Thailand, Imogen meets a wild, kind, handsome man who sweeps her off of her feet. Corey is an enigma who travels the world helping good causes, which often puts him in danger. Returning back to the real world Imogen is delighted when she lands an interview at Stafford Scientific. But she's in for a shock when she meets the firm's boss Noah Stafford - and sees a very familiar face looking back at her. Imogen is drawn to the powerful billionaire, but she feels like she is betraying his twin. Will she be able to choose between the two brothers?
All three main characters were well developed and interesting, but I had a real soft spot for Corey - I can't resist a tattooed bad boy with a heart of gold. I enjoyed all of the twists and turns in the story that kept me guessing, and kept me turning the pages. This book was totally addictive - five stars!

This was unbelievably sexy and filled with hot, hardworking and dominating twins. I loved the whole idea of this story and how the romance was created. It was just beautiful from start to finish. This was steamy without being too out there.
Imogen is reserved, yet she has a wild side that she never allowed herself to let loose. She is smart, hardworking, caring and knows how to stand up for herself. She doesn't take any mess from anyone.
Corey Stafford was the daring hot brother. He wanted to enjoy life no matter what was going on in his life. He never allowed his health to dictate his life. He had fun, worked hard, and did what he wanted with no regrets. I loved Corey and really wish there was more of him in this story.
Noah Stafford is a straightforward of the brothers. He likes to be in charge, he's not one for much fun, he likes things his way without any drama. Noah was a bit dominating that's for sure, but he was also annoying at times. I had a love hate relationship with his character. He did play his role right. He reminded me of a guy that likes to be a master.
The romance was pretty amazing. I loved how Imogen started off falling for Corey, but then meeting Noah who's the opposite of his brother and falling in love with him. Noah was a damn jerk, but I'm glad he came to his senses at the end of the story. The love was there, the sex was awesome and even though it was a love triangle, it wasn't messy at all. It was well written.
I really wish there was sequel to this story or that Corey would have his own romance story at least. Good quick read. I definitely recommend it.

I received this for my honest review. Torn is absolutely exactly what this story is about OMG Alice Ward this was brilliant.
Corey is in Thailand trying to catch the poachers who are after male baby elephants to grow them for their tusks, his life is living for the moment. Imogen has just recently lost her only family her grandmother who raised her so with her grandma's inheritance she decided to travel to honour her. She meets Corey while in Thailand and immediately falls for him but her time is up and she must go home. Her life back home is uncertain, is she right leaving Corey it all feels as though it has happened so quick but..... he swears he will find her and that he will come for her.
After returning home she receives a letter for an interview with one if the most prestigious scientific companies in Chicago and remembered Corey had told her there would be a job there for her, little did she know how her life would change............
This has so much going on and it keeps you wanting more absolutely loved it.

Which brother would you choose? The sexy but serious Noah or his twin brother and world traveler Corey? Each man is different and delicious in their own way and they both want Imogen. She falls fast for Corey but Noah slowly garners her attention. What is a girl to do? Torn is an excellent name for this book because Imogen was constantly torn between the two brothers and what her heart was telling her. This story had everything to make it a success. The characters had such strong differences and the anticipation of which brother she would end up with kept building throughout the story. I thought this book was delightful and I was thrilled with it.

It was a very enjoyable read. I think Noah was a bit off his rocker. But considering his end goal is to save his brother his odd behavior is understandable. However Corey's need to live is before he dies is understandable as well. He'll, they both need love.

I didn't know what to expect with this read but I was totally swept by this story. It was a suspenseful, intense, and heartfelt story about environmentalist Imogen and her dilemma when she meets and falls for twin brothers Corey and Noah. Imogen met Corey while vacationing in Thailand. Despite their instant attraction, nothing comes of it except an easy friendship and a connection where he offers to recommend her for a job in his brothers company and then assures her that he's coming for her so they could pick up where they left off in. She had no clue Corey was an identical twin to Noah the owner of said company where she is immediately hired as his personal assistance with unconventional expectations outside the office. Even though she wanted to remain loyal to Corey, she couldn't!
Torn with the decision to choose a brother, realizes what both have have given her. Which brother she chose and why, came to a head when Imogen learns their secrets and struggles. They each made declarations to her so that one becomes a dear friend and the other her lover. What secrets they had and what brother she chose made this a worthwhile read. Loved it!❤️

Noah ~~~ Chicago is his empire and he's the lord of his city. He's always in control and rules his empire with an iron yet compassionate fist . He's extremely driven and he has rules ,very rigid rules actually . (I had to wait to discover his driving force- well played Alice Ward)
Noag is very talented in teaching lessons #nudgenudgewinkwinksaynomore#
Corey ~~~ Twin brother of Noah and world apart .....chalk and cheese these 2 are yet they have similar character traits as well. Corey wants to live his life with meaning the concrete jungle with smother him so he's always in some or other exotic location .
He met Imogen in Thailand and they share a bond and chemistry .They go there separate ways with Corey promising to find her and eventually he does make good on his promise.

Imogen meets Corey, a wonderful man, during her trip to Thailand. Their attraction is undeniable, yet they have such little time together. He is wild and caring. Corey promises to find her in the US, soon. Imogen receives a job interview in Chicago from the prestigious Stafford Scientific. She will be working with Noah, controlled and always in charge. Brothers, similar but two sides of one coin in their differences.

I had a really hard time getting into this book, but once I did it was so worth it. Imogen is a smart, sassy and can handle her own. Corey is rugged, tattooed and lives life on the edge. Noah is a harder person to figure out. He likes control and determine.
Imogen meets Corey in Thailand. They had chemistry but was cut short of seeing where it would go. Corey promised to find Imogen in the states. Corey meets Noah at her interview in Chicago. Imogen has to choose who she wants to be with.

He talks to his brother and gets her a job at his company not knowing it will end up being the best move of her life. I really enjoyed this book. It was a good read. I love the way Imogene wanted to be bold and carefree. I love the fact two men wanted to keep her safe and seen her innocence. I love the fact she stood up for her friends. I think Corey knew exactly what he was doing. Noah his stubborn self I'm glad he decided to start living even though he felt as if he was bout to lose a part of himself. I just hope for another book which tells about them getting married and end up with kids maybe twins boy and a girl. Maybe we can see Noahs life's work become a success.

Amazing
I liked the fact that the story involved twins. I found it to be well written, with plot twists galore to make sure you couldn't put it down. Also love the fact it was a standalone. I sure hope Ms. Ward decides to do a story on Peter the butler. I found him to be quite interesting and am sure his adventures would be also. I definitely recommend this book.

I was a little nervous going into this book because I'm not a fan of triangles. This definitely wasn't a triangle. It had it moments but I would say it was always clear who the main couple was. It was very over the top in terms of drama but I did enjoy the main romance a lot.

Great read. Well written with a good plot. Amazingly complicated storyline between Imogen, Corey , and Noah. She finds her Torn between the two.

Awesome story
I really enjoyed this book. It had great chemistry between Imogen, Noah and Cory. I couldn't put it down until I finished it. . There was passion, love and a few tearjerker scenes. Look forward to reading more of Alice's work.

Missing in action
