If you had the choice, would you say yes to the bearded manwhore? Would you let him take you skinny-dipping? Would you let him kiss you by a waterfall? With that reputation?

Of course not. You have too much self respect for that, let alone all your trust issues.

But would it change your mind if you were sick of being in the friend zone? If you had the chance for a simple summer fling while you let your nerdy girl heart sing in the beauty and grandeur of Yosemite National Park? If that sexy forest ranger made your body shiver in ways you’d never experienced before?

Yeah, I’d be tempted too.

What’s summer without a sexy, outdoorsy story. Lumbersexual is a fun read that will steam up your sunglasses and warm up your heart. You may want to plan your snacks accordingly while reading this short story. I was left craving s’mores, Cheez-Its and a backwoods romp.

Maggie Washington has graduated Cal Poly with a degree in Botany. She is spending her summer working at Yosemite National park putting her degree to work and doing some soul searching. She didn’t expect to find a sexy, bearded Lumbersexual Ranger who has no plans on being placed in the friends-zone.

Court Thompson is a wilderness man. He’s also known for his 'love them and leave them' summer flings. When he meets Maggie, he finds himself wanting more but in order to win her over he needs to disprove that she’s not just another summer fling. His reputation is not the only thing he’s battling but also Maggie’s past experiences.
This is a short, feel good story that's light heart with sustenance. 5 Stars!

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I've become addicted to the Giving You series by Leslie McAdam from the moment that sun kissed, surfer Ryan broke Amelia's first rule in "The Sun and The Moon". Following "The Stars in the Sky" and "All the Waters of the Earth", I was excitedly waiting for the chance to be introduced to a sexy lumberjack and a bewitching botanist and their beautiful landscape in "Lumbersexual". In this novel we are taken away on a summer adventure with Maggie and Court at the Yosemite National Park to explore waterfalls, meadows, sequoias, and the burning inferno of their passion that is hot enough to scorch all the earth around them!

Maggie Washington is a beautiful woman who has just graduated and is looking to pursue a career in Botany but at the moment unsure of what direction her life should take. While at Yosemite for the summer she finds herself enchanted by more than just the breathtaking scenery. The only problem is the gorgeous man Court who has caught her attention is notorious for sleeping with the seasonal help and moving on. Can she have a fling or will her heart be at stake?

Leslie did not disappoint with her smokin' hot ranger Court Thompson and all of his yummy marshmellowy bearded goodness. He lit my fire right along with Maggie's and kept it blazing with his sexy intensity and dirty talk. Court is full of mystery and love for the land and the great outdoors. I couldn't help but like his quiet reserve that quickly morphed into sexy commands when he and Maggie were in the bedroom. Leslie McAdam couldn't have created a sexier flannel shirt, mountain boot wearing hottie for all of her readers to fall in love with.

Leslie McAdam's delivers a summer love story that will leave you fantasizing about beautiful views, yummy smores, skinny dipping, and hot nights spent with a handsome lumberjack. Leslie knows how to keep her readers hot and bothered, squeeze our hearts with a new love, and take us on a grand new adventure! I highly recommend for a hot summer read that will keep you warm long into the winter. Court and Maggie are fun, adventurous, fiery and a couple that you will absolutely adore!

Goddammit, he was another one of those guys who made me stupid.

He lit a brushfire in my body, blazing across my skin, through my very blood, warming me up in a way I'd never felt before.

My Review:

Lumbersexual had me from the prologue of the story, it is one that I did not want to put down once I started reading it. Leslie McAdam describes the beauty of Yosemite National Park and all the little things nature has gifted with her wonderful writing. I found Lumbersexual to be a great summer read.

A summer job in Yosemite National Park was perfect for Maggie Washington. Maggie never realized her true beauty, with a past of never believing people's true motives she felt as if she could only trust herself. The friend zone is something Maggie knows too well and this summer she definitely did not want to be friend zoned. The summer employees cabin is filled with lots of characters that add lots of laughs and summertime fun. Maggie never thought she would catch the eye of the forest ranger who has a reputation with the summer employees. Will she be able to decide if this gorgeous man that she can't stop looking at will be friend zoned or a summer fling?

Court Thompson is the forest ranger with a reputation for the ladies, he is so good looking that he will make a smart woman...dumb. He has a beard that you will want brushing up on your body and tattoos that you'll want to outline with your tongue. Court spots Maggie at a party and from that moment on he will do anything to win her over. Is his reputation to much for Maggie to handle and will she be able to walk away once the summer is over without a broken heart?

Lumbersexual is so much more than a steamy smoking hot read, it is a story of over coming fears, believing in yourself and being able to trust someone else. The magnetism and chemistry between Court and Maggie is cute, funny, heartfelt and sexy. I loved everything about this story, it is another 5 star read for Leslie McAdam and I look forward to more stories and characters from this author.

Lumbersexual is a sweet and spicy romance set in picturesque Yosemite National Park that will grab ahold of you from the 1st page and not let go till "The End". Maggie Washington, recent college graduate, is packing up and spending a summer working in Yosemite National Park. Not sure what she wants to do with her degree this summer Maggie goal is to find herself what better place is there than Yosemite. Maggie hasn't had luck with men, always being friend-zoned or a fling but when tattooed, bearded and flannel wearing Court walked into her life she can't help but wanna roll around in front of a fire on a bearskin rug with the hunk. Court Thompson has a reputation with the ladies - love them and leave them - an expert at a summer fling but when he sees Maggie for the first time he falls hard. Court challenges Maggie to take on her fears and live outside the box but doing so has her questioning her live goals. Can a summer fling mean more? What happens when the leaves fall, nights get longer and colder?

Lumbersexual is a breath of fresh air. Sweet and spicy with just the right amount of heat and that's not from the campfires if you know what I mean. Leslie has created a beautiful love story between two souls in a perfect setting that is fast paced but doesn't feel rushed. I loved the picture Leslie painted of Yosemite and as a Canadian girl who loves our nature to me this was not just a setting but a third character in the story. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves romance novels as this novella has a little bit for everyone! 5 ooey gooey s'mores for Lumbersexual by Leslie McAdam

My college degree is in Forestry (lots of cute guys who wore flannel and hiking). When I was nineteen, I had an internship in Yosemite National Park as a wilderness ranger. I lived with eight roommates in a cabin in the community of Wawona (in the south part of the park). My job was to check wilderness permits, work in the ranger station, give walks in the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, and campfire talks about ethnobotany of Central California Miwok. We had free roam of the park for an entire summer, and got to see a lot of secret parts of it.

Things in the book really happened to me in one form or another. (No spoilers, but a whole lot of chapter 8 really happened, albeit in a different form. I really did go to the party in Chapter 1. And the Big Dipper really does line up so that it looks like it is pouring into Yosemite Falls at certain times of the year).

This book is a personal labor of love. My friend took the picture of his friend on the cover. The illustrations are by my brother and his girlfriend. It's intended as a quick, fun, sexy summer read.

I hope you like it.

This isn't a standard novella to which I am accustomed, it isn't ekhm ekhm smut, it's more about finding yourself combined with finding love while surrounded by beautiful landscapes.

This is a book for those who love nature, backpacking and things like that. There are a lot descriptions of nature in the Yosemite National Park and I have to admit that it's strongly sells trip to the place. If I'd lived closer, I would gladly visited this place after reading the story. It paints a beautiful pictures and wonderful time spent at th camping with campfire, s'mores and wild nature.

For those who have a taste for romances, finding love is the leading thread of the story, along with some hot scenes and lots of good fun. I really liked all the characters. Court, a bearded hero is sinfully sexy and the chemistry between them is great. It is romantic and Maggie, the heroine herself is quite amusing.

“I totally noticed his biceps, and I tried not to think about wood, logs, or how he was about to set something on fire. Maybe me.”

Also a good group of secondary characters, her interactions with friends with whom she lives are hilarious. Written lightly and with humor. Personally a little too much description of nature and I'd love to read the hero POV.

All this leads to finding yourself and overcoming your fears. The heroine is lost, and during the story she is looking for answers and what she wants in life. It should be inspiring and I definitely feel inspired for an adventure. Good thing that the summer just started. Good also to remember:

“If your tent’s a -rockin’, don’t come a-knockin’!”

Safe summer guys!

Lumbersexual is a quick fun read that has me itching to go hiking and explore nature. I loved that it's set in Yosemite, a place this east cost girl has always wanted to visit. Court and Maggie were such fun to get to know. Court is a good-hearted, nature loving, mountain man with sexy tattoos and a beard. Leslie McAdam's magical talent with words brought these characters and Yosemite to life in a way that left me in awe and kept me up until I read the last words of this story at 4 am.

I mean… that cover, though. Holy. Shit.

And the title? Yep, that’s working for me, too.

Let’s not forget THIS description of Court, the forest ranger who doubles as a goddamn panty-melter:

Spiffed up in his uniform, but with an edge from his hair being shaved on the sides, he looked like the forest ranger equivalent of a hot cop who was allowed to have tattoos and a creative haircut. Kind of a punk rock ranger.”

Hot cop, forest ranging, punk rocker? Um, I’ll take two, thanks.

Basically, it all came together in Lumbersexual to make one hell of good book. It was funny, and sexy, and interesting. It started kind of slowly for me, and I took some time to connect with Maggie, but once I did? I so did.

A novella, this book didn’t go on an epic, crazy, heart-breaking trip through all the feels and then some. No, instead it was a gentle and engaging ride; a story that made me think, made me—the world’s most indoorsy indoor person—yearn for nature, and made me swoon for a man named Courtney.

Seriously. Courtney. It’s not the sexiest of names, but on him? IT FUCKING WORKS. In fact, this whole book fucking works. From the cover, to the title, to Court and Maggie, and then, to the stunning and unique drawings that are scattered throughout the book, Lumbersexual just straight-up worked. ~ Beth, 4.5 stars

I stumbled across this book after seeing a very unique teaser and I instantly knew I had to read it. Plus... Lumbersexual – nuff said.

Maggie is off to Yosemite for a summer job, stuck between youth and adulthood – While Courtney “Court” Thompson is settled into his life – knows what he wants, or at least he thought he did – before Maggie.

Court is the park ranger who spends his summers wooing the temporary help, or at least he did before he saw her. Unsure if she can trust him, Maggie gives in and lets Court prove to her just what his intentions are. A summer fling becomes everything in this sweet romantic novella.

I really enjoyed this read. I found myself a couple of times not wanting it to end and wishing it was a bit longer. I wanted to experience them falling in love in slow motion. There was this undertone of vulnerability with Courtney that I adored. A playboy-ranger who may have had his choice of summer conquest, but it always ending in a farewell at the end of the season. A man who knew where he wanted to be, but yet couldn’t find anyone who was willing to stay beyond a few months of a good time. Although Maggie did waver a bit on whether or not she could trust him, I loved that she gave in to the experience and decided to just let things play out.

If you want to pick up a book that you’re sure to love, that hits all those romantic sweet spots – check out Lumbersexual!

Sometimes you find an author that sticks with you. Sometimes you find stories that stick with you. Sometimes you find characters that stick with you. Sometimes you find all three and you count yourself to be very lucky indeed.
And then there is Leslie McAdam. This book, I have no words. In such a short story she has created a world of flawed, imperfect, prone to mistakes characters who are endearing and will stick with you for a long time to come. A female character so strong, even if she doesn't always realize it yet, learning, constantly developing, with support and often completely on her own. And a male character, the hero, so strong, so stubborn, but slowly bending on his own will, changing not for her, but with her, changing because he wishes to have her in his life.
Lumbersexual is just truly a great book. A great love story, a great world, a great number of characters and I have fallen in love with Leslie's writing, witty, funny, smart, sexy, deep and oh so hot.
Thank you, Leslie McAdam for starting to publish books. I will certainly never regret having read this or any other book by you.

Maggie Washington just graduated college with a degree in botany and is spending her summer with a job in Yosemite National Park while she “finds herself” and figures out what she really wants to do with her career.

Court Thompson is a park ranger, outdoorsman, and known ladies man when it comes to the summer help. Is he only using Maggie for his usual summer fling or does he see her as something more?

I’ll admit I had my reservations about Court just as much as Maggie, probably even more so. I personally could have done without the Amanda history, both because I’m not a fan of OW drama and due to the shorter nature of the story it didn’t help the development of Court and Maggie’s romance. It brought a definite ick factor and made it hard for me to feel overly fuzzy about Court. Though I liked the point that was eventually made about his manwhore ways, his past repeated involvement with a certain pesky co-worker is what really made me lose respect for him and distracted me from his intimacies with Maggie. For me, Court had 5 star hero potential if it hadn’t been for the Amanda inclusion.

With that in mind I think it’s safe to say that one of the themes of this story is not only finding yourself but also not judging others by their past. Trust is a predominant theme here. For a novella, the characters are fairly well developed and the story isn’t short on Maggie and Court’s sexy times.

Told via Maggie’s first person point of view, the setting is done well. It really makes you feel like you are right there. While I’m not a camper and never venture far away from modern amenities, it did make me wonder what a summer in the wilderness would have been like when I was younger.

I loved the addition of the illustrations. They were cute and unique. Something like that would be cool to see more often. Who says us adult readers can’t have illustrated romances? ;-)

This book was a fun, sexy, hilarious read that was perfect for summer. Novellas usually annoy me because even regular-length novels leave me wanting more, but this was just perfect. It was a blast being able to experience a summer inside of the author's sarcastic, honest, sweet, and dirty mind. Four fun summer reading stars.

I simply cannot get enough of Leslie McAdam’s books! And this new one! Lumbersexual will climb into your heart, pitch a tent, and make camp. It’s a beautifully written, loads of fun, sexy as hell, page-turner! Her incredible talent for writing scenes in vivid detail brought summer in Yosemite to life and then some! As a matter of fact, I considered Yosemite National Park one of the main characters. I was right there with this eclectic group of forestry interns; sharing a house, talking roadkill recipes, and listening to 80’s music on actual LP’s! Ms. McAdam’s ability to create down-to-earth yet extraordinary characters gets me every time! These are people we can relate to. And if that’s not enough, emotions virtually hover in the air, permeating your reading experience. Her words grab hold of you and burrow deep.

I adored Maggie and Court! The chemistry between them is not just sizzling, it’s...yeah. Whew. Pretty damn hot. But it’s also beautiful. Tender. Urgent. Intense. Because their time together is limited. When the summer ends, so does Maggie’s internship. Neither Court nor Maggie cares to face that realization. For once in her life, Maggie feels wanted. The fact that it’s by Court Thompson creates quite a lot of conflicting feelings to muddle through. She’s been lied to and abandoned before. Who’s to say it won’t happen again? Maggie is an anomaly for this bearded, tattooed hunk of a forest ranger. He recognizes something in her that he never knew he was looking for. A kindred spirit who not only loves nature but is intent on cherishing it, protecting it, and living it. And he’s hell-bent on proving she belongs to him.

Lumbersexual is gorgeous. Right down to the adorable graphics that head each chapter and are sprinkled throughout the pages. And, as with all of Leslie’s books, Lumbersexual struck a chord with me. Watching Maggie bloom throughout the story made me think of this...We create a picture of who we are, who we think people see when they look at us. Sometimes we forget that we, not those people, are the artists of our life. It’s never too late to paint a new picture.

How do you know whether you can trust someone?

Maggie Washington is used to relying on herself. Growing up in Iowa, her wild curls and parents who dumped her on her grandmother made it so she's never fit in. Skeptical of other people's motives, she's always been the fling or the friend. Looking to define her life after college, she's thrilled when she scores a choice summer job working in Yosemite National Park restoring habitat.

Court Thompson is a gorgeous (and bearded) forest ranger with a love-em and leave-em reputation. When he shows interest in her, she’s torn. Even though she's flattered by his attention, she doubts his sincerity—and her ability to get out of the friend-zone.

Will Court be able to coax Maggie into trusting him that he's for real? Or after the summer of s'mores and skinny dipping, will he let her down like everybody else?

Review:
“He had to have felt the shudder go through me at his words, and perhaps smelled my arousal caused by his beard tickling my cheeks, his tongue touching mine, his wild, clean scent.”

5 lumbersexual stars!! Sweet, romantic and totally cute!

Maggie doesn’t need anyone to depend on, she’s been relying on herself since she was little. She has a hard time trusting people. Ready to make a fresh start she gets a job working in Yosemite for the summer. This is where she meets sexy bearded Court, a forest ranger. He’s the epitome of a playboy. She knows his type and sees him coming from a mile away, so when he shows interest in her, she’s not sure which way to go with it. Will Court manage to get under her skin? Or will it merely be a summer fling?

This was book everything I ever wanted or needed in a book!! This is coming from a girl obsessed with the lumbersexual thing!! I loved how adorable this book was and I loved the characters. Seriously, how can you not fall for Court and his beard?? I know I had a hard time denying it! Maggie is perfect, I love her quirkiness and spirit! And these two together, just work! First book read by Leslie and I know it won’t be the last!

Review: Another wonderful, sexy read from Leslie McAdam! This was a perfect, short and cute summer read.
In this novella, we have Maggie, who has just graduated from college with a degree in Botany and is set to work at the Yosemite national Park for the summer. She hasn't decided what to do for the future and is quite anxious about it.But at the same time she's determined to enjoy her summer too. After meeting her housemates and going for a party, she meets Court.

According to everyone, Court has quite the reputation for having flings with the newbies. She is unsure whether to trust him as in her experience, she has always been friend-zoned or became just a fling. But, she is dangerously attracted to him.And Court with his yummy tats, muscled arms and beard is also interested in her.So, will it just be a summer fling? And what will they do when the summer ends?

This was an amazing heartfelt novella with well-developed characters. And Leslie McAdam's writing as always had the perfect mix of humor, steam and romance. The sights described in the book were so beautiful. And being an outdoorsy person, I loved the descriptions a lot.Maggie was a really cute protagonist. She was a combination of wit, intelligence and vulnerability.Court was also perfect! *sighs* Though this was a novella, the relationship didn't feel rushed at all.The way he got Maggie to open up slowly and showed her new experiences was beautiful.

Grab this novella for a perfect summer read, guys! It's only 99c!And while you're at it check out Leslie's other books too.Trust me, they're amazing! :D

4.5 -- Botanic Nerd -- stars

After listening to and loving The Ground Beneath Our Feet by Leslie McAdam, I wanted to read a book by her. This book is well-paced, funny, hot and short. It put a big smile on my face.

Maggie just graduated college and she starts a summer job at a national park before she decides what she wants to do with her life. Maggie’s first party at her work was weird and memorable, just like Maggie’s roommates. At that party, she meets Court. Court lives and works at the park. Maggie and Court talk and become friends. Court gives Maggie a tour in the park and makes sure she sees all the beautiful, unique places in the park.

The better I got to know Court, the more I loved him. He’s sweet, kind, passionate. Maggie is a great character! I loved Maggie’s passion with nature. The author did an amazing job with describing the nature.

5 Lumbersexual Stars

This book took me longer to read then it should have, but you know those authors you just have to have your favorite spot with no interruptions. Well Leslie is that author for me. So finally the star’s aligned or I should say everyone left me alone (haha) and I got to finish Lumbersexual with no interruptions in my favorite spot.

And wow I knew it was going to be good because I was at 31% for a while…. and the book was in my head, parts of it would pop in ever so often. But it was more than that, it was the feelings I felt. I guess because I could relate to Maggie with the fear of heights and feeling like you have to know what is happening now. Not knowing the path and how it would play out really got to her.

“Other people can check a single box. Not me. Guess I’m just trying to find my box.” - Maggie

Court really got her to think about what she wanted and even if she didn’t realize it right away. He helped her become the true Maggie. I kind of loved that.

‘His compliments nudged open a small place in my heart, and I smiled at him, grateful.’ – Maggie’s thoughts

We need to seriously just take a minute and appreciate Court and all his physique… Sigh the way she describes him damn it’s such a clear picture in my mind. Is it wrong I want my hubby to grow a beard… Like RIGHT NOW.. giggles.. seriously…

This thought I kind of feel like could go both way he saw her, but she saw him too.

‘But he also opened me up and made me find myself. He saw me, he made me see myself.’ – Maggie’s thoughts

Leslie can also make you like the second hand characters just as much as the main ones. Ian and Matt are guys I would like to chill with. Ian is just the right amount of comic relief. And the girls are pretty awesome too; I sure as heck wouldn’t want to leave with friends like them.

5 I WANT S’MORE STARS!!!

She had me at Lumbersexual. I knew I was going to love this book before I even started, just from the teasers! This is the first story I have read from Leslie McAdam and it certainly will not be the last. I am completely and irrevocably addicted!

This author’s eloquent writing made the story feel so real, I had to look around to make sure I wasn’t in the woods with Court and Maggie! I loved the interactions between the characters, especially the steamy times! Oh-god-yes. I also loved that those hot moments weren’t just about the sex. They were touching and emotional. I felt connected to them. I could literally FEEL all of the feels between Court and Maggie. There were also a few moments that had me gasping and on the edge of my seat. I floved it!

Lumbersexual has a little bit of everything! It was sexy, funny and adventurous and I did not want it to end! Sometimes in a short story it is difficult to capture all of the emotions of the characters while tying everything up and still making the story feel complete and not rushed. Leslie not only achieved all of the above, she also kept the story flowing smoothly. But I still want s’more! What can I say? I’m greedy! *shrugs* Thank you for a magical, heart warming and breath taking novella!

Never wanted to rough it, until I read this story!

There is absolutely NOTHING that sounds romantic or fun about the outdoors to me. I mean nothing. I don't even like roasting marshmallows for s'mores because I might get bug bites. This story SOMEHOW made the outdoors and bug bites sound appealing. If it comes with a hunky, romantic, Lumbersexual, outdoorsmen... Then I'm in.

This story had instant attraction and heat between the mains, but beneath all of that this story was about Maggie finding herself. By spending the summer in Yosemite with Court and her fellow co-workers, she did just that. She may have even found a little bit of love in the process.

This story was quick, but effective. Left me with a smile on my face and the urge to pitch a tent in my back yard. Plus the little pictures scattered throughout were pretty sweet!

This was a pretty unique read for me.
Short, sweet, and to the point, with minimal drama, featuring a hero that I have to say in my reading travels thus far, I don't recall ever experiencing before. Can't go wrong with a mountain man...or the beard ;)
Steamy short read with some pretty awesome visuals of a place I've never been, along with a little insight into them. Featuring a heroine itching to find herself after graduating college, who ends up being gobsmacked by a man well versed in nature and all of its beauty in Courtney.
Unique choice for a name, for an even more unique story.
5 stars for this gem. Gonna be checking out more from this author in the future as this was my first go round with her.

This was a great, quick and easy read. Lumber Sexual is a sweet and sexy novella, about finding love in the most unexpected places.

Maggie is off to her summer job, after graduating from college. She is hoping to find her path in life over the summer. What she does find in the meantime is Court. She has convinced herself that it's perfectly okay to let loose and have a fling over the summer, but quickly realizes that it has become more than just a fling. Is it possible that she's found her path in life?!

Court and Maggie are great together. Their chemistry is good and their relationship develops nicely. There is just enough angst to keep it interesting and turning the pages.

Maggie goes to Yosemite to put her new Botony degree to good use and hopefully find herself along the way. She does that and more, she learns to trust not only herself but others. She also finds love in the shape of a beautiful bear of a man named Court, who is a ranger at Yosemite.

This is a cute, sexy and sweet read and I really enjoyed it. I loved the illustrations throughout, they added something special to this endearing story. This is a short but satisfying read and I hope there will be more in the future.

Leslie brings summer to life in Lumbersexual. Yosemite National Park might lie in the heart of California, but I swear it's Court that makes it beat! I dare this gorgeous, flannel wearing, bearded forest ranger not to set your pulse racing with every page. Full of s'mores, sex, and sizzle, this novella is an real treat!!

Wood and Lumber

Highly recommend this novella. The story is well written, fun, sexy, and fast. Ms. McAdam's writing is the best. Her wording is precise and spot on for focusing on a wonderful story between to hot for each other characters. If you're looking for a good sexy read, here's one for you!!

*4 Stars*

This was my first Leslie McAdam book, even though she's been on my list for ages. What a book to start with. This was fun and fast and easy to read.

I liked the main characters and I loved the fact that the book takes place in Yosemite National Park. I love the outdoors, so it was really easy to connect with that side of things for me.

Because this is a novella, there is no drawn out angst, no crazy over the top sexy time scenes (but yes we do get some!), and everything flows really nicely. We get to know our main characters and secondary characters just enough to enjoy this short novel and fall in love with them at the same time.

Also, the physical book itself, is just gorgeous. I bought this from Leslie at BBTB in Sydney earlier this year after some umm-ing and ahh-ing, and I'm so glad I did. For one, the cover itself is gorgeous - can you say hello sexy cover model? And two, the illustrations and coloured chapter headings make the book feel really special. The illustrations are just gorgeous, and I'm glad I have a physical copy to display on my shelf and to hold.

I definitely recommend and I look forward to reading more of Leslie's work.

Looking for a man that’s outdoorsy and oh so delicious? You need to be introduced to Court, this is a great novella that is filled with a great story line that will keep you entertained from the beginning through the very end. Maggie’s entire view on the things change dramatically once she crosses paths with Court. The chemistry is on all non stop and you can’t help but be pulled into their story. Great read that I highly recommend. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

LUMBERSEXUAL was a thoroughly fantastic read, not only because Courtney Thompson was irresistibly sexy and adorable, but also because Maggie Washington's journey to conquering her fears and finding herself , gave me all the feels in a subtle way .

This vibrantly written novella featured the love for nature , campfires , smores, and the adventures of backpacking and skinny dipping. But generally, LUMBERSEXUAL was about getting lost and finding yourself, embracing a family of diverse friends, and trusting your heart to love and giving it to another to keep, because it might actually be worth it. And in this book, it was definitely a smoking HEA. I loved it!

Courtney Thompson is a mountain man whose life was dedicated to the woods . He was a lumbersexual who is seen to have a new girl every summer and a fall-back girl whenever the fling ends . But when he found the right girl, he was willing to drop everything and everyone, even his own life, just to be with her. All he needed was the chance from her to finally have a love that is for keeps.

Growing up differently , Maggie Washington always felt out of place. She was a girl who literally and figuratively didn't have a sense of direction in life. So right after graduation, she applied for a summer job at the Yosemite National Park that somehow related to her course in Botany , to give her time to figure out her life. She met the sexiest bearded man in flannel shirt but was warned of his reputation with women.

But Maggie and Court realized that their attraction for each other was more than physical. Their connection was deeper. So, despite the presence of his ex girlfriend who couldn't move on, and the fact that her time at the park could be temporary, she took the chance to love and be loved by the handsome lumbersexual.

*** This is the first book I've read from this author and I am already her newest fan.

Well July 3rd was gloomy out so I was like Yessss...I have an excuse to read. So I started Leslie McAdam's book Lumbersexual in the afternoon and finished it by dinner. It's a quick read even for me who's a slow reader. I just have to say that I enjoyed every single moment of this book. I seriously loved it. So confession for those that don't know, Leslie and I are friends, but I am not saying this stuff because she's my friend. I'm saying it because my friend wrote a story I truly enjoyed.

I loved the details of Yosemite...the author clearly has first hand knowledge of the place and of working there. I think all those details and the fact that parts of the book are loosely based on some of her real life experience really added to the story. The characters were great. I'm not gonna lie. I messaged the author in Chapter 1 and said Really Leslie, you named the main guy Courtney, wtf? I have a little niece named Courtney. This could be disturbing for me on very odd levels lol. I can honestly say that Court is written so well that I got over the whole name thing and never thought about it again.

Enjoy sweet read.
