This is book 1 in the series and it started out with a bang. Lila is the only female barber in Manny's shop. Since day 1 she has been crushing on Manny, but he put in a no fraternizing rule when he hired her. He says he didn't want any workplace drama, but that's exactly what he got.
The sexual tension between Lila and Manny had been building for over a year, every since they kissed for the first time. Manny is really attracted to her, but tries his best to stick to his rule. That is until one of the other barbers has a birthday gathering and Manny gets a little loose on Patron. He ends up breaking his rule with Lila several times that night.
Now Lila is even more enamored, but that is quickly quelled the next day when his "girlfriend" makes her presence known in the shop. She pops up out of nowhere to mark her territory, but the gag is Manny says she is not his girl. She wants to be, but they are just friends with benefits.
This one ends on a juicy cliffhanger so I'll holla at ya'll later. On to part 2.
