Summer Fever

Rate this book
Running from the past and recovering from a life shattering event, Summer Ramsay escapes to the serenity of a seaside haven to rebuild her life and herself. With a new job running an intensive ward at the local hospital, she vows to live a life free from complications and heart ache. And in Summer’s mind, that means NO men and definitely NO doctors. Both equal trouble and she’s had more than enough trouble to last a life time. With a court case looming that promises to dredge up horrific ghosts of the past, Summer just wants to focus on her work by day and escape to her cosy cottage by night. But everything she believes in, every moral she has, and every principle she is guided by, is challenged when she finds herself working alongside the charismatic and flirtatious Gerard Ross. He awakens something in Summer that no amount of CPR could ever revive, and it leaves her burning with an unquenchable desire every time she sees him. The problem is, he’s a doctor, he's had far too many female conquests, and it looks as though he might even be married. Summer will stop at nothing to fight off her unwanted feelings for the Doctor, even if it means never finding out the tragic truth that prevents him from letting himself get close to her. With some steamy scenes that threaten to get your heart racing a little faster and your blood pressure rising, a hot doctor might be just the perfect prescription for the day.

This was a nice read overall. My only complaint is that we didn't really get to know much about the characters. They spend most of the time daydreaming about having sex with each other or actually having sex, or trying not to have sex with each other. It wasn't until the end that we really found out anything about Summer or Gerard and their past. I would still recommend this book to others it was quite enjoyable.
