Another exciting installment plagued by tragedy. I feel sure there must be a connection between the Scarlets and the Bone Artists. And sadly, I also feel sure I’ll be correct about the reasons Micah dealt so “well” with his tragedy.

Creo que es el mejor libro de la saga, tanto los personaje, la historia, el nuevo misterio (que esta ves si es un tanto inquietante y perturbador) y las acciones dejan la puerta abierta para un desenlace épico, ahora de verdad siento que estoy en una historia de terror, y se nota en cada una de sus páginas, el panorama para catacomb es muy alentador y esperemos esté a la altura.

la verdad no entendí mucho cómo encaja esto con la trama que desarrolló la autora hasta el momento, pero igual estuvo bueno para entender el trasfondo del personaje de Micah que, por cierto, no se parece en nada al de Sanctum.

I liked the story, but it made me feel like it was a totally different character than the Micah from Sanctum. I felt bad for Micah in sanctum, and he was a likable character. This Micah was just a dipshit who only cared about himself.

Madeleine hace siempre lo mismo: sus historias comienzan muy ¿¿?? para mí (no por la temática o la historia, sino la escencia del libro) y me terminan gustando mucho porque me hace entrar en el ambiente que crea. Pero con este me costó mucho más entrar, idk.

"Sometimes it’s hard to just accept that the world isn’t fair, that it’s a screwed-up place."

I actually don't remember about Oliver until I've reached the last few chapters of the book. Then I became sad knowing the history of Oliver and Sabrina and what they have gone through with the Bone Artists. But this doesn't help that much in the series to think that the Bone Artists were crueler in the later part of the story. Read it anyway.

I really did enjoy this short story. I even enjoyed it more than The Scarlets. Definitely recommend it to series fans but first read Catacomb because this short story contains spoilers for that book.

I'm going to be blunt. Apart from the grave robbing, everything else is boring. I'm guessing this is a setup for the third book, Catacomb. We got Oliver, who will make an appearance in Catacomb and Micah, who we knew from the second book.

One good thing about this series, the cover is wicked brilliant. The plot is not far off the cover. So, there is some creepy factor there. Not like that one picture illustrated book with creepy cover but turn out to be time loop fantasy story instead.

Next stop...Catacomb.

3.5 stars. Although I enjoyed this novella I don't feel I enjoyed it as much as the first 2 books or first novella. This one felt like it lacked the complexity of the rest. Still good, but not quite up to par in my opinion.

La primera parte del texto fue aburrida y tediosa. Como siempre, la parte final está llena de hechos impactantes, pero tambien arruina a los personajes. Por lo menos a mí me arruinó a Micah, toda la percepción de él en Sanctum se fue abajo con artistas de huesos. Oliver no es buen personaje principal y posiblemente no hagan nada con él en Catacomb como pasó con Cal. Pero eso está en veremos.
Esta reseña está escrita con enojo, desde el principio me aburrió seguir leyendo, así que, por lo mismo, me alejaré un tiempo de la saga de Asylum hasta que me llame la atención de nuevo.
~ Entiendo a la gente que le gustó el libro porque la escritura de la autora es sencilla de seguir y en el climax pasa todo tan rápido que te lleva a terminarla y no dejar el libro sin leer a medio camino. Solo por eso le pongo tres estrellas.

En este libro se habla de la historia de Micah y como se relaciona este con los artistas de huesos. Nos hace ahondar un poco más en como era en realidad este personaje, pero deja cabos sueltos... Como la relación entre estos y los Scarlets.

Una novela breve del mundo Asylum, en donde tendremos una probadita de lo que nos espera en el siguiente libro y que nos presenta un nuevo matiz de esa secta que está detrás de todo en la oscuridad y el espiritismo que rodea a nuestros protagonistas Dan, Abby y Jordan.

Dos amigos, Micah y Oliver se han metido en un asunto muy sucio solo por un poco de dinero. Cuando deciden que ya han tenido suficiente de cosas escalofriantes, algo les impedirá dar marcha atrás y todo alrededor comenzará a ponerse muy peligroso.

Con el característico estilo de Roux, nos adentraremos a una historia muy oscura que al principio parecerá aislada, pero que poco a poco nos mostrará la terrible relación que tiene con Crawford y Reyes, los dos villanos de la saga. Además, tendremos la incógnita de los Artistas de Huesos, esto hará que no puedas despegar la vista hasta el final. ¡Es muy cautivante!

Al final de la novela encontraremos un par de páginas de Catacomb te ponen los pelos de punta, ¡con fotos que dan más miedo!. No sé qué nos esperará más adelante, pero seguro tiene una gran carga de misterio y terror aseguradas.

Los artistas de huesos es una novela complementaria, debes conocer la saga de Asylum para encontrarle un sentido, pero aún así es entretenida y rebosa suspenso. Con personajes atractivos y un desarrollo trepidante, ansiarás leer más.

+I'll be honest with this story, I didn't like it. Yes, its short, I anticipated with the awesome cover. It was all a lie. After thinking over and over how cool this book would be.

+Micah is an asshole. Yes. Oliver is dumb. What else?! The story will just give you headaches, too many holes. To be honest, the three “NOVELLAS” should be JUST one book. But why on earth did the writer think to separate it?! Seriously??? The warden, The Scarlets and the Bone Artists?! It will put you in misery. If you haven't notice.

+Or maybe that is the writer ways of saying there's more!!! I bet on it!

+Oh well, giving 2 stars is not a waste of time isn't it?

+I still need to know more about them. Dan and the other characters. PLEASE!

+Recommended to every person who read the series.

En este pequeño libro se nos presenta un nuevo personaje, Oliver, el cual en un intento de conseguir dinero rápido y fácil para asistir a la universidad y escapar de su pueblo, se involucra con un grupo con no muy buenas intenciones "Los artistas de huesos", quienes le piden que haga un trabajo no del todo legal... profanar tumbas. Oliver, cree tener todo bajo control, sin embargo, pronto quedará demostrado que esta bajo las garras de este peligroso grupo, y que escapar será más difícil de lo que creía.
Creo que para ser un libro tan cortito logra mantener el interés y la intriga. Sin embargo, a ratos el ritmo se torna muy lento y se le da demasiado énfasis (hasta ser repetitivo) a ciertos incidentes o sucesos. Claramente, lo más interesante quedó para el siguiente libro, pero fue una buena manera de generar interés en el nuevo personaje.

Another short story whose main purpose is setting up characters for the next book. There really wasn't a reason for this to be a story set off by itself. It would have worked better as flash backs in the next book of the series, placed strategically to enhance the story being told there.

This short story also suffers from the same thing Scarlet suffered from. Giving glimpses of a major organization without explaining anything significant about it, and introducing characters you won't ever see again.

Unless you're a completionist like me when it comes to reading a series, you can skip it. This short story really doesn't add much to the overall story.

Me costó conectar con el libro, pero de pronto me agarró de golpe y no pude soltarlo. Lástima que es bastante corto.

Presentan a un nuevo personaje: Oliver. Quien se supone que será parte de la última entrega de la saga. Además, se dan a conocer otros secretos que quizá podrían relacionarse con los Scarlets. Recalco que esto último es solo una suposición mía. Me gustó poder conocer un poco más acerca del pasado de Micah y así entender situaciones y actitudes que él tuvo en Sanctum.

Ahora solo me queda leer Catacomb para ver el desenlace de esta historia y de sus particulares personajes...
