Running on Empty by Cori Videa a fair four-star read. This is the first part of the Erotic under Glass- She’s on the bottom series. In the author’s own words ‘This is part of a serialized story so while it does contain a story arc not all the conflicts raised within it are resolved by the time the tale is done. Subsequent parts will be released as they are completed.’ This is a very good thing to keep in mind when reading this Novella as not everything is dealt with, it’s more of an eye opener for the full story, a small part of the whole rather than an individual one off that will answer all of your questions.
We meet Olivia as she is embarking on a journey that she never wanted to ever have to make, she is going to see the two people that her last words to went on to be poetically correct. The last time Liv spoke to Jacob and Liam she told them ‘Not even if you were the last men on earth’ now they may not be the last, but they may be the only option she has left to keep her family safe. Just as Liv is at the point where she doesn’t think her Pitbull’s Cain and Able will be able to take her any further, and is wondering if she has made the right choice, salvation arrives and takes her to an unexpected reunion.
Cori Videa writes a compelling story, I can’t wait to read more to find out where the story is heading, and find out more behind the end of the world.

Running on Empty is the first book in the ‘Erotica Under Glass- She’s on the Bottom’ Series by the superb author, Cori Vidae. It is a very dramatic and erotic, apocalyptic end-of-the-world story with m/m- m/f and BDSM elements. This is the beginning of the series and it is a very short, quick and easy read. The author, as I have come to expect from her, has produced a very polished, imaginative, spicy and captivating read. She pulls you into her story and has you devouring every word, not wanting it to end. And I really wanted more; I had so many questions and scenarios running through my head. I can’t wait to see what she does with book two and to find out more about the characters and the situation they are in.
Olivia (Liv) has found herself on the run, being hunted, with three small children depending on her to keep them safe. Back in her old stomping grounds, she lets instinct take over and heads out into a blizzard with the children and her two dogs, headed to the farm she knows so well and the two men she thought she would never see again. You see she didn’t exactly leave on very good terms and now five years later she is headed back to ask them for some much needed help. She hopes they won’t throw her back out into the blizzard, surely not when they see she has small children to take care of.

“Those had been her parting words to Jake. The irony in them was difficult to ignore, but hopefully, if he was there, he wouldn't hold them against her now. They'd just been kids then. The whole world had been as innocent as kids then—before the plague.”
Finding the farm in the middle of a raging blizzard will be hard enough, but facing the men and reliving all the memories and feelings that seeing them after all this time will evoke, will be the hardest part.
Will they agree to help her? What happened to make her leave all those years ago? What is she running from? Will she feel a sense of security and safety that she hasn’t felt for quite some time? Will the chemistry they once shared still linger and come bubbling to the surface, or has too much time and pain erased it all?

This story is about friendship past and present. You will love how this author has created a story that will pull you in from the first word. These characters really connect to each other and you will be able to relate to them. The author's ability to create characters that are real to life makes the story engaging until the end. Find out what happens to these characters as their past comes to meet the present.

Disease had wiped out a lot of the world’s population.
Olivia had three children in her care and she was trying to save herself and the children from the hunters that were following them. But to save them she had to get to Jacob and Liam’s home. She knew if they could get to Jacob they would be safe while the blizzard was blowing. However, when the blizzard stopped the story could be a different story. Olivia had no clue if the hunters were ever close to her, but she did know that she had to protect the children.
Through the blizzard, she could hear her name being called, when she saw it was Liam she knew for now that they were safe, but first they had to get to Liam and Jacobs home. When Liam caught up to her and told her to get in his sleigh at first, she argued and told him to take the children. But there was no way he was going to tell Jacob she was back and told her to get in the sleigh. This time she agreed knowing that he had the better sleigh. Sliding the barn door open Jacob told Liam to hurry up and shut it before he let the warmth out. It was then he saw Liam had others with him, and from the form of the adult body he could tell it was a female. When she took her scarf from around her Jacob had a shock to see it was Olivia, or was this some sort of joke? Liam explained to Jacob that Olivia and the children needed a safe haven so he brought them home. Jacob scooping the two smallest in his arms told them all to come into the house where it was warmer. Jacob was not sure if he was happy or not to see Olivia again. But he did know that for what she had done to him she was not going to get away with it.

I read this in about 30 minutes,a very short read that left me with so many questions that needed answers. The author lets you know that this is the case though before you even start.
Olivia is trying to escape during a blizzard with her dogs Cain and Abel pulling her sled and her three young children. She's headed to safety (she hopes) at a cabin she hasn't been to in over 5 years, and she's just praying that the door doesn't get slammed in her face when she gets there. Her worries are valid since the last time she saw the occupants of this cabin her last words were “not even if you were the last men on earth”. Now since the world really has come to an end and she has nowhere else to go she hopes she is doing the right thing. A real sleigh appears, it's Liam and he quickly loads them all up and takes them to the cabin where she sees Jacob (Jake) for the first time. Hoping he would never turn away the children no matter what his feelings are towards her.
Your left knowing that there is quite a past with these characters, what that past is has not been revealed yet, you know though that it is extremely intense. Will Jake take them in and keep them safe? Will Olivia submit to his demands? Can Liam and Jake keep her and the children safe or will she have to brave it all and head back out on her own?
I enjoyed the writing style of this author, the story grabs you immediately. Definitely a story for readers over 18, and was written very well. I will be watching for the rest of this story no doubt. My curiosity is peaked.

Short but packed with a punch!
This book is a novella that is part of a series that Cori Vidae releases bit by bit as they come to her. With that said, do not expect this to end with a full out understanding of what is coming or is yet to come. That is the beauty of this little novella, that you are focused and so enamored by the time you finish the forty something pages, you are hooked and ready for more.
“Not even if you were the last men on Earth. Those had been her parting words to Jake. The irony in them was difficult to ignore, but hopefully, if he was there, he wouldn’t hold them against her now. They’d just been kids then. The whole world had been as innocent as kids then- before the plague.”
Olivia is traveling towards what she hopes is safety in her old friend and lover, with her kids. This is a dystopian type setting and there is the feel that this is dark and looming backstory here. Olivia runs into Liam on her journey. He takes her to Jack and to safety for the time being. The past was these three together, Jake, Liam, and Olivia, so a MMF novella. It takes some adjusting for the feelings of the three to work themselves out but when they do it seems that happiness is in the future for them. That is until Olivia has to keep running and leave with the kids. “Now, we are going to have dinner and we’re going to pretend we’re a happy family and there wasn’t a plague and you weren’t about to say what you were about to say, and then later-”

The story Running on Empty (Erotica Under Glass) by Cori Vidae is an erotica romance book. What would you do if the end of the world came and the only ones you could turn to are those that you left behind long ago? That is what Liv has to decide. When the end of the world comes hard times come upon those remaining and Liv has hard choices to make. I like Liv’s character as she is a caring person who is willing to help those around her. There is a history between her, Jacob and Liam and you begin to realize that it is not a conventional one. What will happen when Liv shows up and asks for Jacob and Liam’s help?
Jacob’s character is strong-willed and has a tough exterior. When Liv shows up he is taken aback and doesn’t quite know how to respond. Will he protect Liv or will she be turned away? Liam is a bit of a mystery. He comes across as a soft-spoken man with a large heart. How will Liam respond to Liv’s request for help? While the circumstances that surround these characters seems to be grim, they all show that are trying to adapt. Has Liv found the safe haven that she needs? I have read other books by this author and found that she writes stories that have wonderful storylines and amazing characters. This quick glimpse into a world that has turned upside-down is a wonderful read. It does include adult themes and situations. It would be recommended for those 18 years of age or older.

Running on Empty by Cori Vidae is part of the Erotica Under Glass -- She's on the Bottom series. The Erotic Under Glass Series a unique series where Cori Vidae in combination with her readers. They suggest themes and prompts for the stories. This novella is an amazing short read and will fan your imagination and then some. Who doesn’t fantasize about falling in love and being able to have two men at once? Not only will you fall in love with the characters but you will fall in love with the author herself. Her style of writing is more than one of a kind it is extremely unique to her. You won’t find another author writing the way Cori Vidae does. She does know what her readers want because she asks them herself what they want to read and she delivers exactly what they have asked for. Running on Empty is every woman’s fantasy come true. In more ways than one. Not only do you read about two hot and hunky guys but the one woman who captures their hearts as well. Running on Empty may be an every woman’s fantasy or dream come true but for others, it is an extremely hot read that is different than your typical romance love story. Filled with lots of twists and turns, ups and downs, but what love story isn’t? And of course, lots and lots of hot and steamy sex. Careful when reading because this novella will make you hotter than you may have planned on.

Running On Empty by Cori Vidae is book one of the Erotica Under Glass series and for me is a four star read.
I have really enjoyed it. Even though at first I found it hard to connect with the book I soon found I was getting along better with it. A really nice and easy storyline. The storyline was done really well. I went through so many emotions whilst reading. I'm really looking forward to reading more by this author. I feel as though there were a few things unanswered which I hope to find out about in the next book in the series. I loved reading this book but I felt at times it just seemed to slow down to a halt for a while before picking back up again.
I liked the characters but at times felt detached from them in retro spec. I enjoyed reading about the characters none-the-less. It didn't put me off reading the book it was just something that niggled at me. This book was full of different emotions with many twists and turns in the book that will keep you guessing what is going to happen till the very end.
I'm going to be keeping my eye on this author for sure. I hope you all like the book as much as I did. Good read. I'm looking forward to see what else this author can come up with.

Running on empty is part of a serialised story and follows the lives of Olivia, Liam and Jacob and the love they had and will have again.
The story starts with Olivia trekking across the snow with her wards until she comes across a figure, scared that the hunters have caught up with her she is reluctant to call out, until she sees that there is something familiar about the stranger. As they get nearer Olivia realises that it’s Liam and she slow comprehends that she can be safe once more.
Liam is travelling back from the store when he spots a sleigh trying to cross the snow with little effect, as he gets closer he sees that the sledge holds a woman and three children. Liam sees the face of the woman and realises who it is, Olivia is a sight for sore eyes and Jacob will be shocked by his discovery.
Olivia is nervous to see Jacob after all these years but will the feelings still be there. As they enter the cabin and sees the alpha male that is Jacob and they entertain a night that brings Olivia back into the old memories of her past with this stunning male specimen.
The book is a short read but has a lot compacted with in the story, I did read as a stand alone book but I think you really need to read the other parts to the story to understand the past and what has brought Olivia and the children to this point in the story.

If it were just her she was trying to get to safety she wouldn't fear being turned away. She had much more to protect from the danger chasing her than herself.
“He felt as dizzy as a snowflake out in the wind and clutched the barn door so hard his knuckles turned white. Olivia? Alive? Here? Now? This had to be some kind of great cosmic joke.”

It has been five years since Olivia has been home. The words "Not even if you were the last men on earth" sit heavy in her throat right now being so close to Jacob's farm. They had been kids back then when she had left. She hopes Jacob will not slam the door in her face. She is in trouble me and being hunted and trying not to freeze to death in the blizzard that's bearing down on her. She hears her name being called and she realizes it is Liam pulling up in a sleigh. Running on Empty is a short erotic novel by Cori Vidae. The book is part of a collection of short stories where I think the storyline will develop over time. I have read a couple of books by this author now and she does write some amazing erotic shorts! They are very fast paced but you are hooked from the very beginning and they always leave you wanting more!
The story is about Olivia (Liv), Jacob and Liam. The story starts with Liv begin rescued by Liam. There is clearly a story from the past with these characters which begins to emerge in this novella. Jacob is quite clearly a dominant and has a D/s relationship with Liam but has also had this kind of relationship with Liv in the past. Whilst I’m not usually to read m/m stories there wasn’t really any details about their relationship this books concentrate more on Jacob and Olivia.
This book was a great starter to what I think will be an interesting set of stories. I’m interested to see what will happen next with Liv, Jacob and Liam and the dynamic of their relationship! I don’t think it’s going to be plain siling for these three but I definitely think it is going to be hot and steamy!

Running on Empty by Cori Vidae is part one in Erotica under a Glass - she's on the bottom series. The author makes it known that this is only the first part and that some things will not be resolved before this part is finished. But that makes you just want the rest because you want to know what happens.
Olivia is running. Running from people who are trying to hurt her and even worse, her kids. She doesn't know where to go but before she knows it she is at Jacob's house. It's been a long few years since she left and she isn't sure if she will be welcome.
Jacob knows as soon as Liam, his partner, get back that someone is with him. Someone who once got away from him before. Someone who he won't let get away again. His dominant and sadistic side gets to him faster than he thought it would and he wants nothing more than to help her find a release.
This was a very short story but there was so much lust and emotion in such few pages. I cannot wait to see what will become of Olivia, Jacob and Liam. And how they will protect the children Olivia brought with her. Cori did a great job of catching your attention and definitely leaving you wanting more!

Upon returning to her old home, Olivia is forced to make amends with the voices of her past and allow Jake back into her life. Jake must forgive Olivia for what she has done and reinstate his dominant stance over her so they can get back to being in their relationship; Liam included.
This short story pulls on your heart strings with the devastating effects of the plague on many different families but also gets you hot and heated with a multi gender dom/sub relationship. This story left me wanting so much more and I look forward to reading any continuation of this storyline.

They're running, away from those chasing them, and toward those that she hadn't seen in years. Liam and Jake were part of Olivia’s past, and now seemed to be the key to her safe place. The return to her past, and the volatile and undeniable connection shared between Olivia and Jake are the only things that bring any sense of release to Olivia. Safety and comfort were found in letting go of control. This story was a quick read and an intriguing one. Running on empty takes place after a plague has eradicated most of the human race, mostly women. Luv and her children are on the run, fighting their way through a blizzard. She's making her way to the only safe place she knows of. The last time she saw Jacob and Liam, it hadn't ended well. Luv doesn't even know if Jacob would be willing to help but she doesn't have a choice.
I'm glad this story didn't focus on the end of the world. It was mainly about the relationship between Luv and Jacob. They are the love of each other’s lives yet they can't admit it. They instinctively know what each other needs, as a true master and sub, even after years of being apart. Though the story is short, it intrigued me enough to want to know what happens next.

This book is part of a serial. I'm not sure how many there will be in total because the others haven't been released yet ( I don't think )

This is a very quick read as it is a short story. I am hoping that this is the beginning of something more, Cori Vidae did put a disclaimer in the beginning of the book letting you know, This is part one of a serialized story so while it does contain a story, not all of the conflicts raised within it are resolved by the time the tale is done. Subsequent parts will be released as they are completed.
It pulls you in and you want to know what happens to the threesome that is Jacob, Olivia and Liam.
This is a M/m/f erotic, D/s/s BDSM novella and it is very steamy. There is a lot that we do not know and we won't find out until some of the other subsequent parts are released, but i am looking forward to them just from this short story.
Cori Vidae has piqued my interest and I will be keeping my eyes open for the next releases.

Will Jake and Liam let her back in? When she left the first time she told them “ not even if you were the last men on earth”.

Wow, what a start to a series! Running on Empty is the first in a series of books called Erotica under glass--She’s on the Bottom. This is the first book I’ve read by Cori Vidae. It’s short, I read it in one sitting, and does just what you want with something like this. It left me wanting more and ready for book two!
So like the blurb says, the world is coming to an end, and the only place Liv can run to is back to the two men she left behind. I like that you can’t really tell when this would take place. I thought the story was unique and interesting and super duper sexy. I mean there are two guys and a girl, how could you go wrong with a start like that? I will definitely be reading the rest of this series because for one- I need to know more, and for two- I like a steamy read with heart. 5 star read for me!

Running On Empty (Erotica Under Glass) by Cori VIdae is a quick read, but packed with so much information. The author lets us know that this is a quick read and there’s more to come.
This was a new type of story for me, since it does contain some MM/MF scenes. It made the story more understandable and definitely had me wondering why and what’s next?
Olivia, our main female character is running through a blizzard and she is trying to escape from hunters that have been trailing her for a while. She returns to her old town in search of Jacob and Liam. They are her only hope, and the last time she left them it wasn’t on very good terms.
Will they be willing to sacrifice their safety to help her? Or will the past still linger in their minds and keep them from helping?

Running on Empty (Erotica Under Glass) by Cori Vidae is the first book in the Erotica Under Glass – She’s on the Bottom series. This novella I would recommend to anyone who loves erotica romance books and don’t have a problem with M/F/M books. With the book only being 41 pages, it is a very quick read and not everything gets resolved, so keep that in mind. It is by far, not a disappointing book in the least. Olivia left town with her last words to Jacob and Liam being “Not even if you were the last men on Earth!”, not exactly the best way to leave things. Due to unforeseen problems, to protect her family she has returned and needs Jacob and Liams’ help. With the way things were left, will they help her? Or will they leave her to deal with whatever trouble she’s in alone? What, exactly, was the fight about that she left with those being her last words to them?

What a great start to what could be a delicious story! This novella has a little spanking, a little bondage, some mystery and three adults, Jake, Liam and Olivia, trying to figure out their roles in a crazy world after a plague has killed nearly everyone.
Many questions are left after reading this short story. What caused the plague? How do these three really know each other? Who do the children belong to? What caused these adults to be separated? Who is hunting Olivia? Why did she leave in the first place?
Vidae writes this story so you could feel the connection Jake and Olivia had, so you could feel the tension they felt at being united but not quite together in the way they really needed, so you could feel the love that the three have together. The story was fast paced and interesting. I really liked where this story was going and look forward to really what comes next.

When the world comes to an end, Olivia turns to the only person that could help her. Would Jake let bygones be bygones or would he turn her and the children away? Would she have the strength to do what she needed to do?
Jake was awash with emotions when he realized that Olivia was there and that Liam had brought her there.
Reading this I could sense hurt, anger, need, desire, hostility, and an underlying urgency running through the veins and minds of these characters.
I am a huge fan of this author's writing style and the feelings of always wanting more that she creates with sudden endings and cliffhangers! I am excited to read the next excerpt that comes my way!
