If I read a cookbook from the 90s and would absolutely still make 50% of the recipes today, it’s a winner. Did this cookbook define my childhood? Yes. Is my nostalgia impacting this review? Who can say.
Quite a collection of recipes and some very nice photos, but not much seemed connected with the Colorado that I am familiar with. I did pick up a few interesting recipes, which made the book worth reading to me.
For a community cookbook, this has high production values. It would be a fun book to use when developing a new dish, but it's use would be to modify their recipes to fit the culinary culture of the cook. This was not a good fit for me.
Love junior league cookbooks, this was a nice find at the library book sale chili cheesecake, provolone terrine, and several the previous owner marked as "really good" all sound worth a try.
