I was born and raised in Ladner, a small farm town just outside Vancouver, Canada.

I never expected to be an author. Writing was something that snuck up on me and rooted itself into my life. It was beautiful to discover that love, and I’m truly grateful to say I’ve found my passion.

If I could leave y’all with one thing, it’s that life’s far too short to not live it out loud. Drown in your passions, hold on tight to the things that inspire you, and chase your dreams relentlessly. I can promise you without a doubt that you won’t regret it. I know I don’t.

Mad love,
Anne Jolin

Jealous possessive men!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💙💚🖤
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 😳🤬😏🤓

The heroine: Hannah Rhodes - just out of a relationship with a manic depressive man who went from the extremes of being sweet and generous to becoming angry and violent when he was manic. Hannah isn’t looking to get into anything serious after that.

The Hero: Greyson Holt - tall, tattooed and looks like Charlie Hunnam from Sons of Anarchy (according to Hannah). He works as a EMT. His father left when he was a child and he swore he would never be the same as his father.

The Story: Hannah meets Greyson in her boyfriends apartment while a party is going on, the next time she sees him is six months later, not long after breaking up with the same boyfriend when she wakes up in his house after a night of drinking.

This book was an odd one. Hannah was your quintessential twenty-something who hangs out with her friends a lot, and often goes out to bars to dance and party. She talks about how her town is small and everyone in it love big trucks. Though she didn’t want to get into another serious relationship, she ends up getting into one with Greyson pretty fast without knowing him very well.

The book is very steamy and the writing is a bit immature, you can tell it was an early book for this author. The story moves very fast, and so does the relationship. You don’t really get a feel of what the Hero is like aside from sexy and dominant until halfway through the book.

The narration was OK, but not spectacular, most was done by Lucy Rivers. I was glad that it was dual POV, but wished there were more chapters from Greyson’s point of view. Aiden Snow did a fine job and I like him, I just wish he had more chapters. Greyson’s reasoning for not wanting to turn out like his father, seems very weak. He never explains why his father left or why he is afraid he might be the same.

Many romance novels have the jealous possessive anti-Hero, but Greyson was over the top and into the category of possessive that is more like abuse than sexy possessiveness. I had an ex like that and this gave me flashbacks. So I immediately got turned off by him completely. Though I did like how Hannah stood up to him and told him in no uncertain terms how it was going to be going forward.

“Loving Greyson might be like walking into a burning building. But that burning building is my home.”

Sometimes reading NA is like eating popcorn
description
A definite NA-filled story with a couple that is scorching hot, with the chemistry and sex, but they aren't given the character development to match.

The conflict was decent and understandable on the surface, but got frustrating and left me mentally asking "WTF?" in the end.

I was tempted to go lower on the star rating because the hero is alpha, followed by a few other character clichés, and the heroine is a wannabee self-possessed female, followed by the usual entourage of great friends, BFF incl., and great parents, but not-so-great relationship history. Ugh! But I kinda liked the couple too much to condemn the story.

SO much potential. They should have been given more care.

I'm tempted to read the next in the series. A little bit. However, if you like NA, a dose of alpha male, some hotness with a pinch of naughty *raunchy even* and a gal who just melts at a guy who is into her, then read this one for kicks.

Don't expect depth though, even when it seems like it's leaning towards it. LOL

Greyson and Hannah are a funny couple. He is alpha and she is heroine and the chemistry is so very hot 🔥🔥
I discovered this book on Audible for free! And I really like it, something fun fast paced romance., The female narrator was really good and I didn’t get any Aiden Snow 🔥❤️ well not enough. Anne Jolin has a new fan.

(Experiment:reading amazon free books after I subscribed to Book Bub, a website that sends you updates on kindle bargains.)

This was my first book in the experiment and oh boy I am so sad, I hated this book :c

What did I hate?

1. Was it love at first sight? Not strictly, but after spending one night, they didn't even talk the male character is all caveman about her. NO, JUST NO.
2. The female character became completely stupid every time he touched her, especially after a fight, where he literally insulted her, after he realizes his mistake and starts touching her to ask her forgiveness, she just let it past because he is irresistible.
Also, she just believes him whatever he says.
3. An alpha male with trouble past, yes another of those. Well more like a CAVEMAN, like the jealousy of this man was irrational. A the trouble past it could have work, but it was not well developed, less in 180 pages.
4. "Sweetheart" & " I own you", I usually can like them if they are well done, but in this book every time they appeared I winced.

THIS BOOK MADE ME ROLL MY EYES, AND I DON'T ROLL EYES!

I could keep ranting about this, but seriously no worth the effort. If you like alpha males and a female character that does what he says, then maybe is for you. The only positive thing is the secondary characters were actually interesting.

P.S. I actually really like this cover. T.T

Well shit, Miss Jolin, you have got yourself a fan here.

I mean, I finished it?

I'm not sure what else to say about it. Took me a grand total of an hour and a half to get through it...and I still feel like I don't know anything about any of the characters except for Greyson having daddy issues.

There was no real conflict in this book. It was mostly about how perfect Hannah and Greyson are together...aside from super occasional bouts of said daddy issues.

So...not the most enjoyable thing. But I mean, I finished it.

4.5 stars!

Holy cow! I read this book in one sitting!!! This is probably the second time that’s EVER happened to me.

I will start right off by saying that I absolutely loved these characters and the story line. Holt was HOT and quite the alpha – yum, and Rhodes and her friends were so witty, sarcastic, and dorky (in a funny way) that made me connect with them all and laugh out loud a lot. The things Rhodes said, I’ve said. The way she acted, I’ve acted. So yes, I connected with her. I understood her and I really liked her character. Her inner dialogue had me giggling throughout the whole book.
“I love that girl more than life itself and I’ll chase her to the ends of the Earth before I’ll let her go again.”

Fresh out of a toxic relationship, Rhodes wasn’t looking to start another one. Far from it, actually. But of course, after one too many shots while out with her friends, her man-free attitude went out the window. The next morning she woke up with a massive hangover in bed with the very hot stranger she’d briefly “met” a few weeks prior. And so, it all began.

Greyson Holt had one, true fear. A fear that kept him from being in relationships. Until Hannah Rhodes that is. She got under his skin and fast. She made his alpha side come out to play A LOT. As much as he tried, he simply could not walk away from her. He could not ignore his feelings for her. And neither could she.
“Look at me in the mirror, Hannah. I want you to watch me fuck you.”

Oi! Holt and Rhodes were HOT together. Their chemistry sizzled off the pages and ooh la la, their sex scenes were incredibly steamy…if you couldn’t tell by that quote. *Fans self!* Honestly, to me, Greyson and Hannah connected in every way and I loved them as a couple. Yes, they had their issues, but I loved seeing them accept them and overcome them together.
“All the best things in life are worth fighting for, Hannah.”

Chasing Rhodes was a sexy, light, and fun read! I am beyond glad I finally got to read this book. I truly loved Rhodes and Holt and enjoyed getting to know their story. I’m off to read book two in this series, Choosing Henley, which is Lennon and Jami’s book. You’ll get to know them in this book and trust me when I say, I’m sure their story will be just as great if not better! Go one-click!

4.5 stars!!

I haven't had much luck in finding good stories this year so far-until now. I picked this one up as a freebie, and I could NOT put it down. I loved every second of this read. Greyson was hot as hell, with the filthiest mouth, and uber yummy. Hannah was very likable in every way. The story was great and kept me hanging on, the characters were so sweet. I cannot wait to read the sequels to this one!

This could have had potential, but it was just like any other insta love, possessive male and confused twenty-something female.

This was SUPER fast paced for my liking. They said “I love you” at chapter 8. There wasn’t much of a plot. It seemed mostly like a cycle of drinking, yelling, forgiving, smut..etc. The conversations between these characters just seems really immature and childish.

In the prolong, we’re introduced to Hannah and her being in a relationship. Chapter 1 continues 6 months later where she had broken up with her boyfriend for the reason that he has bipolar disease and she couldn’t handle it anymore. That was a big red flag for me already and it was just in the first chapter!

This book was recommended to me by one of my favorite authors Aurora Rose Reynolds. As great as she is, when she wholeheartedly recommends something you have to try it.

I'm really glad I did. The book was fast paced and so romantic. It kept me entertained and I read it pretty quickly. I like that. I love when a book doesn't bore you and leave you looking for something else.

I've read some other reviews and I want to say cut a little slack LOL. While I do wish I had more from Grayson and his POV I have to say this book stood on its' own merit and I never once thought it was written via a formula.

I myself found the editing and flow of the story good. There were a few small errors but it's her first offering as an author, and it doesn't detract from the story. I think I only found them because I've been doing that for some author's lately. Do not say no to this book because of those reviews.

I say take a deep breath and enjoy the story because there are a million reasons to love it. I will re-read this book again. I'll keep it on my active list and I will definitely read more from this author. Five stars and that was an easy decision. Almost as easy as marking her next book in my TBR pile.

More like 2.5 stars. The story itself was ok and there were definitely some funny lines. However, the editing was terrible! I'm not sure what's up with these authors and their editors but poor editing often makes good stories hard(er) to read. The writing didn't always seem to flow all that well either. It seemed sort of "choppy." Plus, just a chapter or two from Greyson's POV was kind of weird. It would have been nice to have his POV throughout the story.

Excellent story!! Hannah & Greyson are fun & sweet & I LOVED their interactions! Also, the drama that happens felt real, not contrived, which is saying something since I usually hate that kind of drama. : ) (And there wasn't a lot of it.) The whole story flowed very quickly - I did NOT want to put it down to sleep & only did so when I absolutely had to. The supporting characters were written very well, also, and I'm looking forward to the next books in this series. Good job to the author, two thumbs up & definite re-read material!! : )

Hannah left her current boyfriend with anger issues to be with another guy with anger issues

I did not like the couple as much as I thought I would, but surprisingly, I love Hannah. I love how sexually free she is and her friend group. She was very funny and I enjoyed her dialogues.

3.5⭐️s I wasn’t a fan of the male lead or how quickly the female lead forgave him multiple times with no real effort from him. Plus the dude’s interaction with his father was somewhat anticlimactic and not needed for the story. Not sure if I’ll continue the series.

Hannah Rhodes, the second of 3 children, has spent the last two years of her life in a relationship with Jackson. It was good in the beginning but his bipolar mood swings proved to be more than the two of them could handle. Now she's trying to get over him with the help of her two roommates, her sister Beth and her bestfriend Lennon. Is been nearly a month since the breakup and the girls are out for the night enjoying themselves and drinking one too many tequila shots.

Hannah wakes up naked in the bed of a man she has only seen once-but liked the looks of from that first moment- and she assumes the worst since she can't remember a thing. Which is unfortunate since he is a Charlie Hunnam look alike in her eyes, but she grabs her things and does the walk of shame anyways.

Hannah's Hunnam look alike turns out to be a gentleman by the name of Greyson Holt, a paramedic. They run into each other a week later at Bill's; a local bar in Rock Falls, BC. The two of them hit it off and this is the start of a hot romance.

Hannah and her group of friends keep things entertaining with their shenanigans and cunning lingo. And things are kept hot with Greyson and Hannah in the bedroom, the bathroom, the car, and you get the jest. This is a definite must read!

"Lucky for them, their landlord is a sweet old lady who likes to smoke more than her fair share of Mary Jane and doesn’t seem to mind the endless partying."

"I just had a one-night stand with the Charlie Hunnam lookalike."

"Only you could lose a bright red truck."

"Well, I woke up surround by two hundred and thirty pounds of solid, tattooed male.”

"The day I called our relationship off was one of the hardest days in my life."

"I had to wait for these douche canoes to finish shaving their vaginas before we could go.”

"I don’t even care that I’m begging. At this point, I’d agree to anything just to have him give me some relief."

"This man knows exactly what he’s doing."

"He’s a good cuddler too. I wonder if there’s anything that takes place in a bedroom that he’s not good at."

"He’s a sex god, one hundred percent, and if I had to guess, I’d say I was quickly becoming addicted to him."

“We didn’t get married. She had no shoes on. I was carrying her so she didn’t have to walk on the ice.”

"I think I just got pregnant watching you that was so hot,”

“Ever the gentleman, Mr. Holt,”

“Being with you is like coming home, Hannah. When I look at you, I feel peace.”

"Lennon bought me the newest K Webster novel, Rock Country, and I am excited to start it."

“What did our dad say to you at the door, Greyson?"
“He said, ‘Welcome to the family!’And that if I break your heart, he’d happily break my face.”

"I just let my eyes roam over his sculpted chest and all the way down to his sexy V."

"I make a mental note that my man likes road head and toss him a wink before turning up the radio."

“Only for you, sweetheart,”

“You might want to put a shirt on, Hunnam. If you pull up at the beach like that, Hannah’s not going to be the only one looking like she wants to lick your Popsicle.”

“Thick and thin, Hannah Montana. I’ll always be here for you,”

"I know it seems silly that a small conversation with my mom could bring on such overwhelming clarity and emotion, but it has."

"I don’t know what love feels like for other people. But for me, when I look at him, it feels like coming home."

There was just something about this cover that made me weak at the knees – and made me desperate to read the words behind it. And when I did, I found inside a book boyfriend that lived up to his cover image.

Hannah Rhodes is fresh out of an emotionally draining relationship when one night with a tequila bottle sees her waking up next to a man she recognizes from a brief meeting months prior, but whose name she doesn't know.

Greyson Holt is a tattooed god of a man, and one who looks like Trouble-with-a-capital-T. Hannah can't fight their attraction, but Greyson's past and his fear of becoming just like his absent father makes him hard to get through to.

Greyson is determined to try catch and keep the girl that makes him want all the things he's been avoiding. But will he hold on to her when he does?

I really enjoyed Chasing Rhodes. It was simple story and one that the flowed without much pressure. For some angst lovers, that may be a turn-off, but this book came along at the right time for me. After a disappointing and rather heavy-duty read, Anne Jolin's debut provided me with something (read: someone) to smile about....Greyson Holt. The Charlie Hunnam lookalike – and that's one hell of a visual – was gentle, kind, hot, kinda dirty and a little bit broken. Like the man the graces the cover of this book, Mr Holt made me swoon. I only wish we could have had him for a little longer.

Chasing Rhodes was a quick read and one that I feel may have benefited from some extra length, giving the reader a chance to fully connect with all the characters, including those with books to come, and of course, Greyson. But, in the end, it didn’t matter. I still enjoyed every single word, and see in Chasing Rhodes great potential for this new series. I'm excited to pick up book two and see what's in store for Jami and Lennon - and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't also hopeful for another little glimpse of Mr Holt too.

Chasing Rhodes is the first book in the Rock Falls series and can be read standalone. ~ Beth, 4 stars

This is a story about finding love that makes you feel like you are coming home. Hannah shows up at her boyfriend’s house at 3 am after work and there is a party going on. She heads to his room to change out of her skimpy work dress but there is a gorgeous man sitting on his bed. He looks just like Charlie Hunnam. After some rocky roads with their relationship, Hannah has had enough and ends things. Not long after that she wakes up in a strange place. Turns out it is “Hunnam” bedroom and she is trying to sneak out without waking him up. Needless to say it doesn't work. When she leave without her purse be has to track her down to return it. Turns out his name his Grayson Holt, his name is as sexy as he is. When Grayson and Hannah start dating she is in heaven. Will the happiness last or will things go wrong sooner rather than later? Will Grayson break her heart in the end? Can Hannah move forward if that happens? This is a great story with Hannah, Grayson, and their friends. This is a first for me by Anne Jolin and I can’t wait to read Choosing Henley (book 2) and Breaking Bennett (book 3). Oh and it is a great looking cover too.

This book had been sitting on my Kindle for ages... it's one of those stories you know you won't like it, but you are trying to clear your head after a tough book so anything will do.

The story has some very steamy scenes, I can't deny it. But like many NA stories out there, it's just a crazy ride into a messed up relationship where the guy has serious issues and use his girlfriend as a punch bag but she feels she is the only one who can save him from his demons from childhood.
I really don't get why the girl has to be a savior, a martyr "to fight for him" at all costs, just because the guy asked her right in the beginning to not give up on him.

Dear douchebag, learn how to treat woman decently and they won't have to "fight" for you at all and they can keep their dignity intact. Sorry, but no thanks.

This is truly a fantastic read. I decided to read a few pages before going to sleep. That was a mistake as I ended up reading it all.

This is book one in the series. It is Holt and Rhodes story. I loved these two characters. The chemistry, the banter etc it was all 100% brilliant. Holt is so hot. He can be my sexy alpha male anytime. Let's not forget the secondary characters. They really added to the story.

Absolutely loved this fun sexy story. I'm so looking forward to reading book two.

You know in the beginning of a relationship when you're so obsessed with one another that you just eat, sleep & BREATH the other person... Best. Feeling. Ever. Right? Greyson Holt & Hannah Rhodes bring you all of those feels and more! Along with crazy, magnetic attraction, petty fights where you just want to reach inside the book & give the characters a good shake and one sexy broken alpha, you just really can't go wrong with this book!
