FOR USE IN SCHOOLS AND LIBRARIES ONLY. Morgan and Lewis are once again called upon to help save Mr. Lee. Three of his fans (of his costume-making skills) come to find him. To impress Mr. Lee, they have come wearing their own badly made homemade robot costumes. The boys help Mr. Lee in a plan to get rid of the fans without revealing Mr. Lee's identity. This task becomes increasingly complex when Morgan and Lewis are faced with robots, a Sasquatch, and hungry aliens eager to take over the world. With so much at stake, how can they tell their friends from their foes?
The sequel to Alien Showdown is even more fun and surprising than the first book. Morgan's sister Betty gets to continue as a strong supporting character as does Lewis's brother Red. The mysterious Mr. Lee plays a huge role in this one as well. Looking forward to meeting Goshzilla. These are highly recommended for elementary-age boys.
I feel certain that this book...and its prequel will get passed around the classroom. they are funny and speak perfectly to 3rd, 4th , 5th and 6th... older kids who just want something FUN. Real...fabricated...serious...or not. You decide. I love the dancing scene.
In the second installment of this funny series, Morgan and Lewis are determined to prove that they saw a Sasquatch in the woods. As Morgan writes even more of his acrostic poems and the two boys finish a report on plankton for Mr. Lee, they slip into his studio and discover what might be an alien. The hilarity and over-the-top nature of the two friends' tales are leavened by the authentic descriptions of school days and the attempts of Betty, Morgan's sister, to learn how to dance, even if it is with an alien, unbeknownst to her. Anyone who is entertained by small mysteries, bossy sisters, stinky boys, and a very clever costume designer will enjoy this one and look for more in the series in the future.
For your students who can't get enough of Wimpy Kid and Nate the Great. Morgan and Lewis, in this sequel to Sasquatch and Aliens: Alien Encounter, have received a mysterious letter and a key which may hold the answer to whether or not sasquatches really exist. Funny, lots of pictures, and boy appeal.
