BOOK 1: BLOOD FAERIE
Unjustly sentenced to death, Eilidh ran--away from faerie lands, to the streets of Perth, Scotland. Just as she has grown accustomed to exile, local police discover a mutilated body outside the abandoned church where she lives. Recognising the murder as the work of one of her own kind, Eilidh must choose: flee, or learn to tap into the forbidden magic that cost her everything.
BOOK 2: AZURI FAE
A faerie prince disappears in the borderlands, and his father enlists the help of outcast Eilidh and her bonded druid, Quinton Munro. Tantalised with hints of a lost and ancient magic, they learn that time is working against them every step of the way. Is the prince’s disappearance related to the vanishing of an entire Scottish village?
Faced with deception, assassination attempts, and a mad queen who would sacrifice her own child to keep a dreaded secret, Eilidh struggles with an impossible situation. Her people demand she commit treason and betray the man she loves. Will she do what duty requires, or throw away the chance to reunite the kingdom in exchange for the life she hadn't dared hope for?
BOOK 3: ENEMY OF THE FAE
With a young, inexperienced monarch on the Caledonian throne and traitorous plots implicating those nearest Queen Eilidh, unrest is rife in the kingdom. She must sift through the intrigues and lies to survive, all while trying to discover which of her trusted companions hates her enough to commit mass murder.
Pressures threaten to overcome the young ruler, and to protect Quinton Munro, her bonded druid, she must send him away. His journey becomes a mission when he stumbles on an ancient truth that will shake the foundations of the entire faerie realm. Confronted by infinite danger and the promise of limitless power, Munro faces the most difficult choices of his life. Will he hide the truth to preserve stability in the faerie kingdoms or embrace the promise of his true druid heritage?
One friend will die because of that truth, one friend’s betrayal will cause irreparable scars, and the once tightly-knit band of druids will learn that not all magic is benevolent.
Review for my memory- this is the 2nd time in 8yrs I've read the book, all I'd remembered was that I liked it. But while I remember liking it - I've grown and no longer am in the same place I was back then. 1. The Authors Idea of romance is very monogamous, unfortunately the society of Elves that is presented are not, this causes conflict that becomes a running theme through out all three books.-
This read through I no longer keep reading when I feel that the subject matter is not interesting. so I completed books 1-2 but stopped at Book 3 ch 3, Since it is a book set the 3rd book ruined some of the suspense with the reveal of a few key things, but then got bogged down again before it could become interesting - I made personal hidden notes.
Sex scenes are about how the characters feel and not described in any detail, if there is any I skipped these paragraphs Light romance with a mystery to solve to keep the story moving forward. Sometimes uses language that makes it a little confusing - because they use words in Elfish that are not given any definition to - and a few that are. Other times creates a world building rule then breaks it later in the book .
I get free ebooks all the time and I frequently discard them but this series is one of the rare keepers! It has everything...interesting characters and dialog, intrigue, mystery, forbidden love, treachery, a page turner for sure. I fell in love with the characters so much that I bought the next book which is something I almost never do. Thank you India Drummond 😍
This series draws you into the world of Caledonia and all the fae in the Otherworld. So well written, the characters are so believable, you'd think that this could happen. The books have a great blend of romance, mystery and fantasy themes. The more I read the more I wanted - I'm so glad there are 3 more! But I'm already worried that 6 won't be enough!
The first two books were interesting but book three was so long and over done. I wanted to fast forward. I enjoyed the storyline. The characters were just okay.
book 1 so i had read this probably a year or so ago . but i wanted a refresher in the series so what happens when a cop and a azure fae meet at a crime scene and why . can the cop figure out who is over the murders and who is the stranger and why is he drawn to her . and what of the cops cousin how is he connected to the crimes and murders . and why is a blood fae killing humans or are they fully human or something else . find out by buying this book or buy the box set it is 99 cents til the 17th . of this month . book 2 so this book has a major war on their hands and a queen who wants to kill many fae who is not of earth why well that my dear readers and reviewer will have to read it to find out . but also how will the other druids have a major role in the fight and can they bond with whom they are supposed to . also stay tuned to book 3 it may be very interesting what happens when an azure queen and a prince are joined will it break her bond with munro or make it stronger and is the prince more than anyone imagined . find out and buy the trilogy it saves money to do so otherwise its 15.00 instead of 1.00 what a steal but it is only 1.00 until the 17th. get it before it goes back to 10.00 book 3 so what happens when someone the queen trusted tries to discredit her her mentor and her lover . can she find who is behind it and one who has astral flows . and one can they figure out why Flur wants to bond with one of the druids but she finds she can't bond with anyone that they have as druids . but what happens when the druids are so much more . what happens when a fae forces a bond and what happens when a fae kills a druid are they one in the same or two different people . find this and so much more when you buy this remember the 17th the price goes up then buy box set two which has books 4 thru 6 and see what may happen next this series will keep you guessing i have already reviewed the individual books but not this box set in which i am rereading these books so i can do a fresh review from the past reviews of these books.
What an amazingly complex, but easy to believe society the world of the Caledonia Fae is. I was wrapped up in the story from the first page and found it hard to put down. Each adventure was enthralling and you just had to keep going to find out how the characters fared. It was a highly enjoyable read and one I am sure I will be reading again.
The best novels I’ve yet read about the Fae. Ingenious world-building, excellent characters, great plotting with just the right balance of romance and mystery.
