This one was super short!!! So of course it was very full of instalove. This is the story of Harper and cooper. She’s a single mom to a 5 year old little girl. She’s 28 and all of her friends are single and she’s kind of just busy and bogged down with mom life. Until one day she starts talking to her neighbor who is a widower and is raising a young boy the same age as harpers daughter. She offers to watch him after school one day a week and the guy (Cooper) says ok and trusts her even tho he hasn’t let anyone else watch his son since his wife’s death. The 2 start getting closer and he tells her about his therapist telling him to ask someone out then he just kisses her- full on hot and heavy kiss- kids there and all. Weird. This closed off guy is talking about his therapist then spontaneously kissing strangers. Sounds like a personal problem. Anyway they set a date but when he gets there to pick her up she’s on the phone with her sister (a junior in HS) who tells her she and the mom have been in a wreck and the mom is in the hospital. Cooper saves the day and watches the kids so she can go to the hospital. Everything ends up being fine. She goes home and sees the kids sleeping and this picture of domestic bliss but then she realizes her daughter will get attached too (aha! Lightbulb moment!) so she pulls away and starts ignoring cooper. In the end, they come together, scared and with baggage but blissful together.
Cute but too short for me. Something is missing.

September Snuggles

With their kids in school full-time, both Harper and Cooper actually learn more about each other, besides being neighbors. This is a warm and fuzzy story about moving on and taking chances. Snuggle up as you slip inside the toasty covers ~

It was short, simple and it smelled like apple cider and homemade vegetable lasagne.

Under the microscopic view of the gossips of Ashford Falls and the patrons of Cupid's Coffeeshop, Harper and Cooper become aware of the growing attraction between them. They have lived next door to each for two years, but the divorced mother and widowered father have never acted on their attraction. That doesn't mean that they haven't been aware of each other. With the flavour of the month at Cupid's Coffeeshop, Apple Cider plays its role in bringing two broken people together. The fact that they both have children of similar age helps as for the first time they find a support system in parenting that they haven't had before. In this more mature romance, Harper and Cooper recognise the need to let go of the past and take a chance. This well written, sweet love story touches the heart. I read this short novel as part of the Cupid Coffeeship Omnibus and this is my honest and voluntary review. While the story is a standalone, it is nevertheless a good idea to read it in its correct sequence as the episodes follow on from one another.

This story was a quick, sweet, and refreshing romance. The premise of the series is, that three cousins have a year to turn the coffeeshop into a thriving business. This seems difficult, but they try and in turn, bring romance and a wonderful conversation stop, with excellent creative coffees of the month.
Maybe even a little magic!!!
This story was about a single mom and her widowed, next door neighbor, who also has a kid, and having the strength, to take a chance. I thought that this story was well written and a quick read.
This is the 9th in the Cupid's Coffeeshop series. Each is about a 1/2 - 1 hour read. They should be read in order. All the characters interact and become a big part of the coffeeshop!!

Thanks for the journey!!

This one could have been so much better if it was longer. I like the single parents/neighbors story line, but this one felt way too rushed. For two single parents not wanting to rush into things, they went from happy neighbors to going on a date to seeing what the future will bring for them all in a space of a week. Could have been so much more if it were longer!!! It was par for the course for this series though, cute and sweet.

I really enjoyed "Apple Cider" by Courtney Hunt. This has been a fun short read series that can be gobbled up in one long afternoon. It's good clean romance (sometime with a smidgen of heat) and the characters are fun and engaging to read.
I love the premise that each book is a different month in a year long journey. I've enjoyed each book so far and I can't wait to read more.
This is a great book, series and author to add to your collection.
Happy Reading...enjoy!

I like this series but I don't like any books where the main characters falling in love are over 10 years apart. I just don't buy into the fact that they'd have much in common or could relate to each other. In this book, while the author doesn't specify Cooper's age it's noted that he's well over 40 and Harper is 26 so there's a 20 year age difference. Too much for me. I just didn't buy into their connection just because they're both single parents.

Every time I read these, I get to the end and think, that's it?

This is a short story in this series and this one seemed like the shortest. Neighbors Cooper and Harper both are crushing on each other and that's kinda it.

Unlike the others where there's instalove, this is just a "let's try a relationship as see how it goes." Which is boring and a disservice to the characters, which could be interesting, but with only hints of an issue with her mother and his late wife's issues, we don't really understand all that much. Or, anything remotely exploring what appears to be a 12 yr age difference. This would make a much better longer book than a short story.

Also, I got the version with one or two sentences that appeared to be missing words.

This is another adorable book in the series. While the books should be read in order to really understand why the success of Cupid's Coffeeshop is so important, it can be read as a stand alone. The fun of reading all of them is that that characters crossover into each book.
The town of Ashford Falls is very small, a place that I would like to live. The residents know each other and look out for each other.
Courtney Hunt has delivered another winner!
