It usually takes me a day or two to get through James books but this one I had to keep putting down. It felt like it was a slower pace than his usual books. It was fast paced then crawled and repeated that pattern. Interesting story line.

Phew! What a story. And one that was a "on the edge of your seat" kind of book. Kept me in a nervous state the whole time I was reading it. My kind of story, too. Would absolutely love to meet Kane. What a man. Ladies, you'll know what I mean when you read this book. So glad the 'darkness' is all gone, at least I hope so. Frankly, I would recommend this series to anyone who loves adventure and action. With a touch of paranormal, too. Its just that good a story.

Ok
It had a good plot and lots of action. It was written in first person and i kept forgetting who "I" was. It took me a lot longer than usual to read it. The book also kept referring to past incidents.

lots of fun!
I’ve really enjoyed reading Matt James’ books. Lots of action, good characters—likable and well developed—lots of history and new view points on theoretical history. I’ll definitely read more in the series

I love reading a Matt James book. Almost believable weapons -high tech accoutrements, and a plot that keeps me quickly turning the pages. I can’t wait for the next book.

I liked this book even more than the others.

Awesome!
If you like archeology AND a suspense filled novel, ALL of his books are for you!! He makes the main character funny, so it’s a read that makes you laugh also.

Excellent!
This read was outstanding and well worth the time to read it (which wasn't long since I ignored everything and everyone). Strongly suggest that you read the books in order since this book carries on the characters and will be even more entertaining as the storyline carries on from the previous book. The only downside is - the next book isn't out yet!! Ugh! I hate waiting to read the next sequel. Please hurry and release #3!!

Pure adventure delight
Matthew James has once again delivered the goods in his second Hank Boyd novel. Realistic life struggles, relationships and action, with a little of the fantastic form to deliver an excellent story. I enjoyed this possibly more than the first installment.
