Rate this book
Chosen for impact, clarity, and humor, these one-per-day quotations come from a wide variety of Zen masters; Christian and Sufi mystics; Eastern and Western philosophers; poets ancient and modern; and living artists, writers, and comedians. Each entry also contains a question to prompt self-examination, making the calendar a year-long course in fending off destructive thoughts and finding inner certainty.

It seems cliche to say a book was "life changing" but this is something I've taken with me every day since I read it 5 years ago. It is a simple and rare beauty that forces you to become aware of your perspective and how it impacts your life.

I use this every day
A well-chosen thought to start every day. Not a bad habit to get into. Recommended.

A delightful, fat-trimmed dish for the soul.
Though not one of those with prettier interface, this app is offers soul soothing experience daily without excess baggage that usually comes with the majority of similar apps.

The daily recommendations, when followed, has helped me banish not only my negative thoughts and high expectations of myself, but me live in the moment of motherhood. Only wish you could set the bell reminder to go off several times per day!

I am not reading this book so much as following it as a practice for a year. It's very simple and helpful, like all the books by Cheri Huber I have read.

Jättefina tänkvärda ord för varje dag. Bäst att läsa det på morgonen och bära med sig tanken hela dagen.

Have always loved a year book and find this, with a quote every day and a comment or exercise so helpful. I have had years when I have repeatedly worked through it and then others when I have just picked it up as needed to. I’ve even written each quote in a small note book and carried it around with me.

A great idea to keep this book by your side to get inspired. Doing something like reading a page a day can change your outlook on life. I recommended this book to many and they aren't the first to admit it's so good that they re-read it more than once. One of the inspirations for my very own venture which was a helpdesk software came from reading this book.

This book provides a year's worth of inspiring quotes, along with brief daily assignments. I found it useful in reminding me about what's truly important, rather than getting swept up by the stress of modern life.
