Lucas Chandler, Earl of Lyons, a widower and legendary recluse, finds his life forever changed by the arrival of his daughter's new governess, Elinor Browning, a war widow with a young son, and the ghost of his late father, who is determined to help his son open his heart to love. Original.
I have always been fascinated by historical events, especially British and French. Most of my stories are set in Georgian and Regency England. Some deal with the Jacobite rebellion, and my very first published book was set in Louis XIV's France. I like lots of action and intrigue. The romances set in the Regency period have a bit of intrigue and lots of humor. This year look for the first installment of my fantasy series, TRIALS OF HALLION, Two of Swords, book 1.
Spoiler: the cover doesn’t REALLY show the real spin here. Imagine a recipe: one emotionally broken hero with a quiet small daughter, one respectable yet poor widow with a slightly rambunctious young son, add a kind hearted cousin, a loving and drama-like aunt, one bad guy, plenty of kind hearted staff, the ghost of one chain-bearing dad, the Ghosts of a Christmases Past, Present, and Future. Then be sure to mix all this in the setting of the weeks heading up to Christmas with sweetness but not so much sugar ya wanna be sick. That is a Christmas story that is a fast read and just what one wants with one’s tea as The Season starts or even as it winds down. Clean read. I know it’s an older Regency book, but sometimes the 80’s-2010 have the best clean yet romantic “fluff” regency authors.
