I watched him from across the room, listening to him charm his way through a game of blackjack. My friend, Joy, told me he was rich and he liked the ladies almost as much as he liked the cards. But I already knew that.
Sitting across from me was the son of the man who’d ruined my family. And this was my opportunity—maybe the only opportunity I would have—to get a little revenge.
Brian Callahan destroyed my family, leaving my father a weak and broken man. If I could convince his son, this handsome womanizer, to marrying me, I could get my revenge and restore the family fortune my father lost to Callahan.
The only trick would be in convincing Kyle Callahan that our quickie Vegas marriage was one of the rare ones that could last beyond the city limits.
Note: KYLE is the fourth book in The Callahans series. It can be read as a standalone romance but it is highly recommended you read the first books: BRIAN, KILLIAN, and SEAN first. My second box-set is included as a bonus :)
3.5 The ending was a let down I felt like they had been huge chunks of story missed the explanations were rushed and non existent and even though it's fiction bombshells like had been dropped during this book don't just go away or get forgotten about by the reader. Im going to read the last book in this series knowing not to expect much but still hoping it'll pull something better then an abrupt finish like this one had.
Another chapter in the Callahan saga this one brings the whole thing almost to the end. Kyle and Amelia's story starts as a lie but ends with them truly in love and ends up outing Kevin's role in all the issues the Irish mob has been having. Look forward to the next instalment.
This is the first time reading a novel by this author but not the last and I'm looking to read more. It is no secret that the writer is very talented and provide amazing story; however, I was a tad confused in the beginning. This is the continuation of the Callahan drama with similar storyline.
another chapter in the continuing soap opera of this mobbed up Irish family. the identity of the family's enemy is confirmed and its a bitter betrayal.
I enjoyed the continuation of the "ruining Brian Callahan at any cost" plot. I liked Kyle and his story. I could garner no empathy for Amelia. Her "revenge" motive made no sense at all. Brianna would have been a better match for Kyle.
