Book 1 is a nice set up for the 2nd book in the series.

It took a bit for me to get into Douglas Dale's narration but he won me over with his performance in Drunk in Love.

Book 2:
What a story! Dang, this is what makes me a fan of Aria Grace.

Drunk in Love pulls at every heartstring I've got. The connection the two mc's make... and what happens to them? Ah, the feels!

I enjoyed this one on audio and Douglas Dale is wonderful! As I was sniffling my way through the isles of the grocery store 🤨... Curse you and your amazing ability to hit me where it counts Aria Grace!

Book 3:
Whoa the buildup to this one was pretty spectacular! Great story and Michael Ferraiuolo is fantastic (as always).

On to the next one...

Meh, I have one question: what's with all the angst and low self-esteem. Also Steve... Dude... Maaaan... What the hell?
description

Yeah, Zach and Ryan need to communicate. The smexy times were hot, except for the thing with Steve.
Steve redeemed himself in Choosing Happy, and I loved 'Little Duck', but the drama... Yeah, free read from Amazon, no skin off my nose.

More Than Friends is a cute, gay-for-you story, with Zach pulling feelings out of Ryan he didn't even know he had.Very sweet.

Drunk in Love...Boys, boys, boys...what were you thinking? Oh so much more angst and drama than in the first part of their love story...this one broke my heart! I was so mad at each of them, the lack of communication and the unwillingness to talk things over.
In the end I'm so glad they were able to make things right, but guh!

Choosing Happy-
I wasn't sure what I was going to think about Steve's story, after not really liking him at the end of Drunk in Love, but I was pleasantly surprised. I actually had a lot of empathy for him, I was happy to learn about his backstory. I feel like there was a lot more depth to Choosing Happy than there was to More Than Friends and Drunk in Love.
Steve actually has a big heart, and he just wanted to find someone to share it with. I'm glad he found his little duck.

I decided to check this out because it's part of the Audible Escape package and I have to admit I'm not sure if I'm truly liking it or if it's a train wreck and I just can't look away but whatever the reason I'm on to book #4 now because this audio book included the first 3 stories in the series and while the stories were only ok for me the narration...well the first two books done by Douglas Dale a new to me narrator whom I quite enjoyed and book #3 was Michael Ferraiuolo...and really need I say more and yes, I will continuing with the series if for no other reason than the fact that Mr. Ferraiuolo narrates 3 more of the stories in this series.

Self Isolation...the #1 solution for how to catch up on the TBR & the To Do list...it's a thing my friends and so far I'm working it.

I have read books 1 and 2. I don't know if I want to continue... 4 hours left (Audible) and that's all about Steve who I didn't even like as a character. Plus the writing style didn't impress me. Will it get better?

I did like Ryan and Zach a lot in book one and in the beginning of book two too, so I do see the potential here. With a bit more effort and character development theirs might have made a great story. Now it was just too rushed. In book one Ryan was straight, (or at least thought he was) had sex with Zach and was immediately like "badaboombing I'm gay. Surprise, surprise!"

In book two they had a threesome with Zach's ex. Yeah. WT actual F? I can get wanting to try a threesome, but with an ex? That's a hard no. Should be obvious. Even if everything goes as planned, it is a fucking bad idea cos there will always be feelings involved. Not to mention jealousy. And yes, things did get bad, but surprisingly not the way I thought. It was Zach who freaked, not Ryan. And then Zach left and didn't talk to Ryan or see him for months. Stupid guy...

And then after one drunken phone call all was well in their paradise.... The end....

Two great stories in one collection. Loved Zach and Ryan. Their story was sweet and fun with a bit of heartache. Steve redeemed himself a bit in his book though I was still not happy with his actions in the first two. Would have loved more of Zach and Ryan.

This review is a combination of my individual reviews for the three books contained. I wrote each before continuing to the next book.

More Than Friends
At the beginning of this book, Ryan believes he's straight. When Ryan meets Zach, Ryan believes Zach is straight. When Ryan finds out Zach is gay, he tells himself it won't change anything. And maybe it wouldn't have, if Ryan didn't find himself not only attracted to but with feelings for Zach.

This was a cute, sweet story with some steamy M/M sex thrown in. At the end of this book, Ryan and Zach seem to be well on their way to HEA.

Drunk in Love
I've really enjoyed the More Than Friends series so far, but is the end of this book really the end of Zach and Ryan's story? Sure, the two are together, but only they only just became so again. I think their HEA is implied, but the ending still feels like a cliffhanger. Knowing that Choosing Happy is Steve's story, I worry that this is what wraps up Zach and Ryan's story. I would really love to know what happens next with them.

That being said, there is no way the situation with Steve could've ended well with it set up the way it was. There were so many ways Zach and Ryan could've made it through it had they talked more about it either before hand or during, but obviously none of those happened. I'm really frustrated with Steve for his role in the whole thing, but I know he's not solely to blame. Regardless, I'm not Steve's biggest fan right now, so I'll be curious to see how I feel about him once I get into Choosing Happy.

Choosing Happy
After reading the previous book in the series, Drunk in Love, I wasn't sure how to feel about Steve, but this book had me feeling much better about him within the first chapter. Heck, it had me feeling better about Steve within the first paragraph where it is abundantly clear that he knows the role he played in Zach and Ryan's breakup. Based on the little we saw of Steve in Drunk in Love, with Zach literally calling him a playboy, made me feel like it was all just fun and games to him. But it's not. In reality, he was trying to help Zach fulfill Ryan's fantasy. It just didn't quite go as planned...

In this book Steve seems to spend most of it seeking redemption for the things he's done, the people he's hurt. He seeks it through helping Joey out from under the thumb of a notorious crime boss in the city. While it's not to say that Steve and Joey's feelings for each other aren't true or real, I do worry that their love might be based on the savior situation they were in, not actually getting to know each other and falling in love that way.

Regardless, it was an enjoyable story. I wasn't sure how Steve would accomplish freeing Joey, but, with the help of some friends, he managed to do it. And with his newfound freedom, Joey chooses Steve, making for a HEA ending.

When I started the series, I thought it was just the three books, but I quickly realized there were many more. Having finished the first three, I would very much like to continue with this series.

This book contains several steamy M/M sexual scenes. The scenes are decently graphic.

This MM collection, made up of the first three books in the More Than Friends series, is a relatively quick, fast-paced read. The storyline does run consecutively so I recommend reading them in order. In book one, More Than Friends, we have Ryan and Zach. This pair starts as friends, but things between the move very quickly. In fact, it's very nearly instalove and moves a little too fast, considering that Ryan starts the story believing that he isn't gay. Even with that, it is a sweet, steamy story. Book two, Drunk in Love, picks back up with Ryan and Zach. Enter Steve, Zach's ex, and a night of drinking leads to problems between our couple. This one was more angsty than book one, and seeing as how our main characters were in a mess of their own making, I had a hard time finding any sympathy for their angst. By the end of the story, I wasn't sure if I wanted them to get their HEA or not. The third and final book in this collection, Choosing Happy, was my favorite, by far. We get Steve from book two, and in all honesty, I wasn't sure about this one in the beginning. I ended book two with some pretty negative feelings about Steve. But, he soon redeemed himself in this one. My heart broke for Joey and Steve's patience with him was so endearing. This one does have a lot of drama, but it works for the story. It's an emotional and tumultuous tale. While I wouldn't say that this one necessarily has a cliffy, it does have an open ending with some unanswered questions, so I will be checking out the next in the series to see where the story goes. Overall, this collection makes for an entertaining, steamy read and the writing style and story line did keep me turning pages.

More than friends
Ryan has been in a funk since he broke up with his longtime girlfriend, nothing seems to make his enjoy life, until he meets Zach. Starting out as friends, Ryan insists he is not gay, but after one encounter that leaves him wanting more, his eyes are open to a new direction with Zach. With great characters and an honest storyline this book was a fabulous read.

Drunk in love
Ryan and Zach have been enjoying their time together. The relationship has been a positive experience and Ryan has come out to his family. But will they take the next step and make a final commitment to each other or will Zach’s old lover come into the picture and mess it all up? This book had such an emotional storyline the reader can feel the anxiety and heartbreak that the characters are going through. This series keeps getting better and better.

Just stay
Spencer is a suit wearing, highly intelligent tech geek. Dylan is the rough and tumble bodyguard/“entertainment manager” for a club. When the two meet under harsh circumstances the instant attraction is seen by everyone. But can the two men from very different worlds make the relationship work? Or will it just be quick sex wit her no strings? With adorable characters once again Aria Grace does not disappoint.

Good collection!

1st & 2nd book is Ryan & Zach. This is Ryan (straight guy) falling for Zach. Is cute and funny and also heartbroken. Ryan and Zach have been happy together and are ready to move in but then Zach ex (Steve) come into the picture and one night changes everything they all make wrong choices. It was sweet and quick reading.

3rd book is Steve & Joey. After the mess Steve created with Zach & Ryan his trying to find purpose to his life. He has a waffle stand and everyday his sees Joey pass by with another man. His attracted to Joey but Joey is with this mafia guy that has a bunch of young guys working for him, his abusive to Joey and won't let him go. Eventually Joey leaves after the ex beats him up pretty good and he goes to hide with Steve. Steve takes care of him takes him to his home and eventually finds a way to set him free from his abusive ex. It was heartbreaking and sweet at the same time. Fast pace reading.

Oh Ryan and Zach... (shaking my head, sadly) what are you thinking? So I had read #1 about 2 years ago and as I was re-reading it, leading into the others-- I wondered why I'd only given it 3 stars-- then as I got close to the end, it all came back to me. It gets a little clumsy with the sex and the emotions. Some of it due to the writing but more so the character's themselves. Very frustrating to see such immature behavior and avoidable mistakes. This, going through book #2 where it gets REALLY deep (treading water that is). I have no doubt that situations like this arise in real life BUT Zach and Ryan go completely against their own verbalized (to each other) beliefs and desires to cause one heck of a problem. The moments leading into the resolution were confusing to me-- I just didn't get what was happening. Very unfocused writing there perhaps in an attempt to shorten the book.

Interesting Enough!
1. More Than Friends
Student Ryan stumbles upon Grad student-teacher Zach and a new world is open to him. A cute short tale of discovering what one really wants and going for it. I enjoyed this tale, can’t wait to read the next installment.
2. Drunk In Love
Grad student-teacher Zach & college student Ryan experimentation w/ Ex Steve could have devastating results, maybe or maybe not?! Another cute short, a bit sad but an interesting enough tale with our sweet boys. An easy read.
3. Choosing Happy
Waffle Food Truck owner Steve is crushing on a customer Joey “little duck” and offers his help when needed. I must say I’m not a fan of MC Steve. He comes across as a little too aggressive for sweet Joey. I also did buy into the whole “mission impossible” episode. It was a bit unbelievable. An okay read.

I had to come to terms with these 3 books.

Before you just skim past my review. I read the first two books years ago and recently picked them back up. However when I was reading them the first time I got to the last book and was a bit disappointed that it was about a prominent side character and I didn’t like that so that’s when I decided it wasn’t for me. Then the other day I got to the last book disappointment set back in but I willed myself to read the third book finally. It was ok. Still think it could have been a bit better to go with another character than the ones focused on but that’s just my opinion.

3 links in a chain

This collection of 3 shorter stories all link together to tell one tale. It starts with a straight boy, discovering that he’s not so straight after all. Then switches point of view to his new lover trying to find the balance between letting him experiment with his new sexuality and forge a long term relationship. The third story follows that “experiment” on his own voyage of self discovery and love.

Surprised

This isn't my normal type of reading material and I wasn't sure at the start what to expect. To my enjoyment I found the characters believable, well described and built up perfectly for their role in the story. Quite an achievement given the variety or roles ,legal and illegal, but brought the story together as one book ended and another began.

Well the first two book were cute. there was one part in the 2nd book that really made me mad but whatever. It's not the best stuff I have read but it wasn't the worst so it's ok I have to give it two stars. And I didn't like the 3rd book but happy that the bad guy in the 2nd book found his happy ending

Great MM collection. A bit more angst than I would like in book 2, but still a good story. First is a friends to lovers. Second is a continuation of their relationship. Third is the story of Steve (Zach’s ex from book 2) and Joey, he young guy he rescues from bondage. We get a lot more about Steve and why things happens in book 2.

A great read

I liked those books. I'm not a great fan of contemporary romance usually but this is very well written. The characters are very loveable. I fell in love with Steve. Tattooed, vulnerable and strong.

Great book

I liked how the characters interact with each and how Zach ended up with the love of his life Ryan.
Then how Steve finally found the love of his life when Joey asks him to save him.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well written this 3 book set was. Not much happens in the first 2 books-your typical romance, no big surprises. The 3rd book however, has a great story and real nail biting tension involving a local gangster. A lot of fun to read this set!
