Helpful in broad strokes but not so much for specific worries

Some great ideas, especially on how to write mission statements for a non-profit and how to market. A lot of similarities to for-profit business, but completely in different in oh-so-many ways. If you are thinking of starting up a non-profit, or are trying to improve one you've already got, this book is a good place to start.

A great Nolo book with step-by-step instructions for setting up a non-profit. Would suggest anyone interested in doing so just buy a copy of their own as it begs to be marked, tagged, and flagged as you move through the process.
