Sh*t My Witch Says

Rate this book
A cursed witch, a gorgeous bear Shifter, and a sarcastic Puritan ghost must work together to save the supernatural town of Wild, Texas.

Witch Imogene Hobbs, with the exception of her frill-necked lizard familiar, Liz, has spent most of her life alone, but not because she’s anti-social. Nope. She’s cursed. The ghost of her Puritan ancestor’s bitter enemy, Dorcas Hoar, haunts Immie every second of every day. Working with botanical magic sustains the creator witch, even with an ornery spirit on her ass all the time, and Immie manages to eke out a living cultivating rare, hard-to-grow plants for magic potions.

Bear Shifter Tabor Cotton shows up in Assjacket, West Virginia with a proposal for Immie—save his town’s most precious tree, the Great Ash, an ancient source of pure magic. In exchange, he will help her lift her curse. Baba Yaga, the head honcho of all witches, insists on Immie’s cooperation—not that Immie is protesting. To complicate matters, Tabor believes that Immie is his mate. All because of the so-called “mating scent.” Yep. Immie thinks Tabor smells like fresh cut grass on a spring morning, while Tabor thinks she smells like dark honey licked straight off the comb.

As Tabor and Immie learn to navigate their blossoming romance, prune a cursing crone, and weed out a plot to kill to the Great Ash, you can bet your sassafras that Wild, Texas is about to get a whole lot wilder.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! I bought this book because it looked humorous, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!

The cover looks fun and is part of what attracted me, but the title cinched me reading it!!!

This is the first book in this author’s series that is part of the Magic and Mayhem Kindle Worlds. This is also the first book I’m reading my Michele even though I owe a ton of her books though I want to get more of the Broken Heart series. This book is for adults only due to the content and language.

This book is awesome! I love Dorcas so much, but the twins are even better! The humor runs amok in this book and made me laugh and smile a lot! Immie is pretty amazing because she hasn’t had real great things happen to her, but she still manages to keep her heart and knows how to give others joy and doesn’t want anyone to hurt. Tabor is a sexy bear shifter who need her help…oh and she is his mate. I love all the sarcasm and witty naming conventions that the author uses because it made it even more humorous. I loved it and can’t wait to read the next one!!

I highly recommend this book to paranormal fans who love humor, witches, shifters, vampires, and more!!!

I received an ARC for an honest review. This story is the first in the Witches Gone Wild novella series. It was a fun, quick read that centers on a witch named Immie. If you like Ms. Bardsley's Broken Heart series, then you will like this one. In fact, you'll find some familiar characters from Broken Heart making cameos in Witches Gone Wild. A couple of minor complaints. First, like many stories that are only published electronically, there's some grammar issues. Not a huge deal, but as a writer myself, I tend to notice these things. Second, and more importantly, while I get the purpose of novellas, they always leave me wanting more. Novellas don't allow for character development or a solid backstory or really, any world building. You just dive into the deep end and go with the flow. Luckily, this world is connected to the Broken Heart world, which did make it a bit easier to grasp. But with the quickness, there also comes some holes and unresolved questions that are never dealt with. Hopefully, Ms. Bardsley has plans to further visit Immie's world and fill in some of these holes.

Imogene or Immie is a creator witch and wonderful with plants. Her familiar is a frilled-neck lizard who loves to eat shoes.
When BabaYaga the big boss of all witches shows up with a job for her to do. If she does them maybe she will break a curse she has been living under . A ghost
The job? Help a hot bear shifter named Tabor Cotton save the Ash tree he has been protecting. He is the quardian of the wild, Texas.
I loved it. Full of humor, action, and mystery. The characters funny and well some are hysterical. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.

I have loved Michele Bardsley for years!

I have read quite a few of her books and I fall for the snarky, often foul mouthed characters! So much to love in a Michele Bardsley book!

In this book Immie is a witch with a curse and smart mouthed familiar. She gets tasked to help a Bear shifter by the Witches "Boss" Baba Yaga ... AKA Carol. One does not tell the Baba Yaga no ... add in nature and shifter mating practices as well as 5 year old twins ... you have a recipe for a fun read!

Read it! You know you want to!

Quirky

I liked this book. The characters are unusual and unique. The Australian lizard familiar, the foul mouthed ghost, a curse, and the other zany characters, all leave the reader wondering what the h$$)):=='ll is going on in Assjacket(yep, that's the name)! Even when I wasn't sure what was going on, I was curious to see where it was going. I will be looking for the next, Witches Gone Wild.

Amusing quick read

I love the Magic and Mayhem series and honestly would have given this one five stars like others however it was filled with mistakes. Other than that it a really funny quick read about a witch with an Australian lizard familiar and a ghost that haunts her who finds her mate with a bear shifter.

Fun

This is a light and funny read. It's also sexy and witty. It's short, so it's a good choice for reading between more intense and time consuming books. I really had fun with this book.

Love this author!!!

This book is a fun quick read. It needs a lot of editing though. However, it doesn't detract from the story. The characters are very well written and have great personalities! I love this world!

Cute plot, but the typos are funnier than the book. “She wretched to her feet”. “She reached down to grip his shift.” “He put his lips to hear ear” Gotta love those ebooks! 😂😂😂😂

Meh. It was ok. Thought it felt rushed and really not as developed or humorous as it could have been. It also seemed to be a rip off of Mudbug series ghost. Doubt I’ll read any more of the series.

A delightful read. A bear witches a ghost two young children and a dying magical tree. Add a slimy villain a lot of magic and you have a very interesting read.

This was a a prequel that I got interested in because of the name. It appears to be on it's way to being a solid story. There is everything it that needs to be a solid story. There is a cursed with, a shifter bear, vampires, a really really big bad scary boos witch, and an epic quest. Interesting story.

Absolutely fabulous; I haven't really gotten into the Kindle Worlds books, but this one has definitely gotten me interested in reading more of this Kindle World, not to mention more of this author. It reminded me of a lot of Eve Langlais or EA Price's work with the laugh out loud moments of humor, over-the-top characters and even a bit of interesting plot played out with good writing. There were a few typos throughout--nothing too bad, mostly missing letters or words here and there; it just could've used one more good proof-read. Even that wasn't enough to detract from the enjoyability of the story.

I have never laughed so hard in my entire life. Dorcas was my all time favorite character in this book. For a witch that is dead she has the best comebacks. I think at one point I almost peed myself. LMAO! Immie and Liz were great. I like that Immie's familiar Liz wasn't the typical familiar you always see. I like that she was a lizard. Then introducing the hot and sexy bear shifter. This just screams yum yum. A great read and full of lots of laughs. The twins Erin and Eden made my day. I love little witchlings. :D

The Lost Souls/ Broken Hearts series is a rewrite of this one. What was a four book series has lost a book (Sh*t my Shifter Says) as well as losing a few crossover characters, changed the location, and many of the names, but is basically still the same. The missing book was more a second adventure of the characters from the first Immie/ Grace and Tabor Cotton/Standing Bear. Either way this is a fun series and I'd love to see more.

My one gripe is that no where has anyone acknowledged that if you have the first series, you basically already have the second.

Oh my word!

I live the magic and mayhem series, and several of my favorite authors are in here, but I have to say....this story, by far has been the most hilarious!
It seems Dorcas has net her match with the twins and I could not have laughed more than their first interaction. I mean...tear running down my face and hard to breath funny.
What a great story! I will be looking for more of your books! Happy reading!

Fun

A fun quick read with an unexpected ending. It seems like several chapters after the transformation before the last chapter could have added so much more to the story.
