Jeśli nie miałeś do czynienia z Cisco, to jest to książka dla Ciebie. Jest dużo podstawowych komend. Opis sieci. Bardzo dobra pozycja jak ktoś chce się zagłębić w ten temat. Niestety, żeby przećwiczyć przykłady jest zalecany jakiś sprzęt, który można kupić gdzieś za 1000 zł (2018 rok). Inną opcją jest zabawa na firmowych urządzeniach, co jest dosyć ryzykowne, jeżeli coś źle wpiszesz. Jest jeszcze alternatywa pisania na programowych emulatorach Cisco, ale autor nie zaleca.
