As I read the ratings on this title I can’t help but wonder, “are we reading the same book?”

Drax #8 by C M Punk Review

Drax #8 takes us on a world building adventure as we get to encounter more people from Drax's past. Pip the Troll comes across as hilarious and great foil to Drax's general attitude! Drax being kep on his toes by Pip works brilliantly and you find yourself routing for them. Drax #8 has the great feel of an adventure story as we explore more of the universe. This of course gives a great excuse for character development showing that Drax's attitude to Cammi is not misplaced event though he regards it as a trick leading to all sorts of misunderstandings that add to the books rib breaking humour But it also shows these characters having three-dimensional natures and making their interactions and the adventure entirely unpredictable as they run around the galaxy!

At the same time the art really pops showing the scrip of brilliantly. The panels works really well given the story an epic quality in every scene, from ship to space, that really shows off the script and really sets up a roller coaster ride. The pace of the book and the humour give the book it's tone as they run one situation after another in great grand style. Things have a really great cinematic style that keeps you looking over the page to see what you may be missing. Drax #8 is full to the brim from the start to keep a watch out. Drax #8 works on all levels full of character development, grand standing, adventure and action packed throughout Brilliant crisp high five! Make sure you have the next one!
