L. Ann started with the Baxters and followed that with multiple series and genres. While her books feature paranormal, FBI, ex-military and Badass Bikers, L. Ann is writing about the strong women that these men need in their life to help right the world's wrongs and keep their small part of the world safe. The women are extraordinary, strong and determined to make a difference.
The men fight for right in every book. Yes, they kill people. Yes, the MC shoots at the bad guys’ feet to cause them pain. Yes, some throw tampons at each other regularly.
That being said, they do these things while stopping human trafficking and experimentation, bringing their world into legitimate businesses, fighting gangs to keep drugs away from their town and kids, keep women sheltered safely while trying to stop domestic abuse. These are men that don’t leave a pack, Team member or Brother behind. They don’t treat women as possessions and they don’t cheat. Respect takes on an honorable meaning. Women and kids are cherished. Everyone is looked out for and everyone is equal.
L. Ann has made amazing worlds, tackled the taboo subjects and made it easy to imagine living in a world where your protection comes from the vampires, shifters, freaky kids, albinos and orientals, military turned FBI and some Badass Bikers.
With readers writing about rereading the series over and over, she feels like she’s told her characters’ stories in a way that would make them proud.
Every book will make you laugh, every book will make you angry for the wrong that happens in the world. Every book will make you cry for the pain that a character feels. Every book gives you hope that we may just get it right yet

After the events in the first book in the Princes of Prophecy series, I wasn’t sure about Darren. I guess after being told for so long that Jessie, Darren, and Jess would be together to suddenly being told that Darren and Jess weren’t feeling it, I was just a little thrown. No worries, Darren won me over and I ended up enjoying Reader.

With all the miraculous tech advances that LAM writes into her books, you forget about how much the characters still have to overcome and her characters not only overcome, they freaking excel at anything they set their mind to. Being deaf, Darren especially has things he has to deal with on a daily basis that would drive so many of us crazy. What really won me over was how much he bent over backward to give his Eliza what she needed to overcome her past, even if it went against his extremely alpha instincts. His trust in her and her skills was complete, which was exactly what Eliza needed to thrive.

Eliza was another super strong heroine who had some seriously horrific history. After surviving the outlaws, she pulled herself out of the black hole they had put her in. By the time we meet her, she has trained herself and acquired some kickass skills in order to devote her life to protecting women. I adored the fact she didn’t take shit off of anyone, and I thought it was high time we got another female on high security. I’m sure Sheila was drowning in testosterone.

The threats seemed to be coming from different places, but the Princes are starting to figure out that it may be stemming from one source. It’s going to be interesting seeing how it all plays out. I did like that instead of getting these long, repetitious action scenes like in the MC series, the action was a bit more varied here. I do have to say, the thing with Sheila felt orchestrated and un-needed. I also thought her recovery was kind of just brushed under the carpet.

Each book is getting better and better, but there are still problems that I think others would be bothered by. Still, The Prophecy series may end up being my favorite out of all L. Ann Marie’s books.

Loved it

Loved Darren and Eliza's story. There are reference to rape with no graphic details, but may be an issue for some.

Darren is the VP of he Princes. Born deaf, survived and abusive early childhood, he and his younger brothers were adopted by Danny and Kate LaPointe, and later by Ben James. Raised to not accept his limitations by a community who looked for way to help him succeeded in anything he wanted to. With the help of a Mitch Baxter invention, he has a sense of sound. He is strong smart and like his father Danny, sees everything.

Eliza is a survivor. She raised by a junkie mother and an step father with the Outlaws. She was protected by her step brother, but sold as a slave after his death. She gained her freedom when the MCs eliminated the Outlaws. She has put her self through college, taken classes in self defense and wants to join the PD top help women and children.

Sheila brings Eliza in hoping to get her into HS with the Princes. She proves her worth and begins training. When she meets Darren there is a strong attraction. Tess tells them they belong and their is no arguing with that. Armed with family support, and Patches' list Darren sets out to make Eliza his old lady.

The Princes and MC Baxter's are still under threat. MC allies become enemies. The Outlaws are still causing problems. Someone is attacking their network, Chin is suspect. Their is an unknown player in Washington has knowledge of seers and readers. The old ladies, Mitch and the gifted kids are at grater risk then before. Attempts are made. Sheila suffers the hands of 5 gang members, but comes out stronger.

The Princes continue to grow and have learned from the mistakes their father's made. The Parents are learning to let go but still offer support and help when ever asked. They are united in protecting their communities, and working to make things better for all.

Darren and Eliza's story had my heart

Darren is close to my heart because of his hearing loss, my family has that in it. Darren was never treated differently and it made him the man he is, Eliza had a rough life but she turned it around and proved he was strong like the other old ladies. These two together show that strong isn't in physical strength only it is mental and emotional strength that makes you the bad ass you are meant to be.

Love it!!

L Ann does it again. This is book 2 in this series. Darren is VP of the Princes of Prophecy. He meets Eliza at the club and thinks she is looking to bag an officer, but he was wrong. Eliza is meeting Sheila, a officer in the Princes. Eliza want to work on the police force. The next time they meet its electric. When officers find 'the one' trouble is not far behind. This is Darren and Eliza's story.

Darren has overcome a rough start with the love and support of his adoptive family. As VP of the Princes of Prophecy he continues to grow and show people that just because he's deaf does not mean he is not an important part of the club. Eliza has escaped her imprisonment as a slave of the RI outlaws and come out stronger and determined to help other women. This is the story of Darren & Eliza and what true Brotherhood means.

Well written as usual, good chemistry between the H/h and the continuing fight to live their lives clean. The Baxters and the MC ate back to lend a helping hand as needed. The kids are still having to prove to the rents and other clubs that they are the real deal and not to be taken lightly.

This is a continuation of the new series of the kids from The Badass Mc. The Princes of Prophecy.
Darren has always dealt with his hearing loss never letting it hold him back but doesn't realise it had made him hard. In comes Eliza and knocks him for six. She's had a difficult past and needs Darren more than ever. She softens him and makes him smile while he gives her strength and acceptance. Full of drama, intrigue and scenes that will make you lol and also make you cry.
Utterly riveting story and series. A definite must read.

Absolutely brilliant. I was worried with the books being spin off from the MC series that they wouldn't be as good, I am pleased to say I was wrong. I enjoyed book1, but I have got to say Darren who's one of the main characters in book 2 stole my heart bless him.
I can highly 'recommend this book but please read the mc series first or you'll get confused.
L Ann Marie thank you for writing such great books, and for my latest book boyfriend, you truly are an awesome author

Omfg!!

This book has so many twists and turns and ups and down all the way to the end! This story is so complex and the character development is great! I absolutely love how the series is evolving. The pairing of Darren and Eliza was brilliant. The tech in this story was brilliant. I love how Darren upgrades his tech and makes it better. Love Eliza's moniker of Kicker...she is great! She is a strong woman who loves her job, her man, and the brotherhood...great book and great series!!

Just what I expect from this author, another interesting story that kept my interest from start to finish. I never wanted it to end. It's just another deeper glimpse into the MC / Prophecy series bringing old friends and new friends into another story of a couple finding love. Really a great way to spend an afternoon

"Reader" (The Princes of Prophecy Book 2) by L. Ann Marie is a great read. I loved Darren and Eliza's story. This story has passion, romance, action, humor, overcoming tragedy, close families, MC, brotherhood, and much more. This is a great follow up to "Prophet". I can't wait to read what happens next! Recommend to all fans of MC romance.

Another great one

I have to say, there hasn't been one book that I haven't loved. I totally fell in love with Eliza and Darren. The only problem I have with The Prince's books is keeping track of all the kids and who belongs to who but with all the badass, sexy guys, honestly who cares. Looking forward to seeing Little Ben fall next....

Darren and Eliza are made for each other. They both overcome traumatic childhoods to meet and fall in love. The Princes are adults now, badasses like their fathers and finding the women meant to share their lives.

I first started by reading MC: Knight and then realised that I wanted the whole story and that started with the Baxter's .. although the first books didn't have a lot of crossovers they did set the scene for what is to come in the other books as the stories move along so their importance to the series' as a whole cannot be overstated

I have just read the 22 books to date back to back in the order published on the author's website and decided to review them as a whole. I really don't think they stand well as stand alones as there are too many common threads, too much history and too much character crossover for that so it really is one (very) long story over a very long period of time with each series concentrating on a particular character group but including all of the others (except for the initial Baxter books which didn't have a lot of MC action but did set the scene for a lot of what is to come).

I loved every book although of course some more than others but i am giving an overall five star rating. My biggest issue was that sometimes (often) i found it difficult to be sure exactly who was talking and had to reread sections to try to work it out. I think that perhaps what the author is seeing in her head moves a bit too fast to translate well to the written word for some of us (something like the thoughts of some of her characters - you need to read the stories to understand my thought process here!!)

My other issue was keeping my head straight with the cast of thousands (and this is not an exaggeration) ... with each story building on to what has come before and what will come to be and with most characters continuing to play a place in each consecutive story I found myself constantly stopping to think - now who was that, whose child is that, whose partner is that???? but even amongst that confusion I loved the relationships and the strengths they provided.

The author has an amazing imagination and has brought to the table a fantastic story that i will continue to read and at some point will def read again. I have always loved and had an interest in native american philosophy and also in paranormal and psychic connections and love the way these are ingrained into the books as the stories unfold.

Although there were some things that caused me slight annoyances I cannot deny that as a whole this fits as one of the best series i have enjoyed. my thanks to the author for providing such a thoroughly engaging tale

An MC Romance With A Touch Of The Paranormal

This is the second book that I've read by this author. The story pulls you in from beginning to end. Darren is a strong character, a force to be reckoned with. He doesn't let his disability control him. He needs a woman that can be his equal and not someone scared of her own shadow. That's where Eliza comes in. Eliza has had a rough life and doesn't let what happen to her dictate her life. Instead of hiding in the shadows, she fights back and helps those that can't help themselves. The attraction between Darren and Eliza is intense. They are two people that have been hurt by life that heal each other. This story also shows the love they have for each other and for the Prince's. It's worth the read.

Great read!!

Darren and Eliza are BadAss, separately and together even more so. This is a phenomenal book of one man who feels lacking because of his disability and the actions of small minded people and a woman who feels less than due to circumstances beyond her control. Neither are. They both bring so much to the table that pairing them together is nothing short of explosive. This is a great continuation of the series!

This is Darren Laponte-James’ story and his deep love for Eliza who was once a slave for the Outlaws. She proves her worth as HS on the New Police department and risks her life for her club and her man. The themes are dark in this one where she and her fellow Princes deal with rescuing sex slaves and the attack on her and Sheila. I loved this book. Darren is one of my favorite brothers and enjoyed his story.

Darren and Eliza

Darren is deaf but he is a proven leader first of his siblings and then as VP of the Princes of Prophecy. Eliza was the stepdaughter of a member of the Outlaws MC and was sold into slavery and horribly abused. When the Outlaws went against the MC and Prince's she took her freedom back and taught her self to defend it. She becomes one of the badass women in High Security.

So excited

I love the little brothers as much as the MC. Wow!!!!! Never expected their gifts to be what they are. Should have! In all my reviews of all these series, I have forgotten to mention the awesome humor. When I read, it must always have laughter. These series do it to perfection.
