Hello. My name is John Crawford. In 1993, I experienced a descent into severe anxiety and depression which took me the best part a decade to recover from. After working with an amazing therapist, I was so inspired by the transformation I underwent that I became a professional therapist myself in 2003. I specialised in the treatment of anxiety related disorders for thirteen years. With over twenty years of anxiety related experience behind me, I have developed a profound understanding of the steps necessary to achieve real recovery from anxiety, depression, and OCD. When you are a therapist you can't afford to use tools or understanding which won't deliver results. Your job is to help people recover, and they are paying you to do it! I had to get it right. And I did. My point? My writing is based on over seven thousand hours of real-world clinical experience with real sufferers in crisis. I want to share that understanding with you.

I closed my one to one practice in January 2016 to concentrate on writing, speaking, and teaching, and my first book "You Can Fix Your Anxiety" is proudly published here as a result. I wrote this book from the heart. It's actually been years in the making. I designed the book to be as close to a personal therapy as possible, and many areas of important understanding are covered. It's not just one or two ideas rehashed and padded. It's a book which will lead you step by step to understand exactly what anxiety and depression actually are, how the states are inappropriately triggered, and what exactly needs to happen in order to recover. While there is good science at work, it's also a very warm book. My primary motivation for writing it, was simply to deliver help to as many sufferers as I can reach. I know the misery of anxiety and depression, and if I can help, then I'm happy!

Thank you for taking an interest, and if you read the book, I sincerely hope that you'll find it illuminating, clear, insightful, and profoundly helpful! I'm sure you will.

John

I loved this book! I never understood why some people actually seem to thrive when they're ranting and raving, and enjoy arguing, until I read this fantastic eye-opening book. Who knew that anger was as addictive as morphine, and relieves pain. I can finally understand why having Bi-Polar Disorder, PTSD, severe stress and anxiety disorders draws on the energy of a hostile environment, or temper tantrum. Plus, there are some fantastic ideas for getting over last events that may still be disrupting one's life, and how to be happier even if every little thing can't be resolved, but doesn't have to be one's own personal burden, despite the surrounding circumstances. Thanks, John Crawford, for a much needed change of view on some old and new experiences. If everyone who reads this review would read this book, we could all be much happier people worldwide!

Really Helpful

I have been gradually more and more angry and anxious in my life to the point my wife and stepson don't want to be with me at the moment. Reading this has helped me understand that I cannot control situations through anger and also how to harness the feelings I've had and how to be more respectful and appreciative of those around me. I hope the changes I make and the techniques help me restore and improve my and my family's life. Thank you

Great help

I've just finished the book and I can say it really helped me. I was and still am struggling with anger issues, most of them unwanted as I consider myself a calm person, but obviously I needed help to deal with this unpleasant situation. The book deals with the problem and it helped me to understand that anger is not a good path to live my life. That I need to overcome this challenging situation. The exercises are useful, I'll check them again in case is necessary.

Terrible..

Author needs to : 1. Be less preoccupied with libel and making money. 2. Learn how to use English elegantly and proficiently. Even if you're not a Buddhist, the Dalai Lama's book Healing Anger is leagues better.

Concise and personable

The book was not too long or too complex which is helpful when you’re reading about anger management, anything that goes on and on can test your patience! I found the ideas helpful and will try the techniques suggested

Helped a lot

Very good starter guide to coping with angry emotions - the exercises are useful, as is the recording. A lot of work to be done on the back of this, but a great foundation to begin from.
