This is a wonderful, heartwarming book and I absolutely loved reading it. The book covers Edward G. A. York (aka The Bastard) a playboy prince, 3rd in line to the British Throne and Rose Mathis, a feisty woman yet has a problem with her self image, who is a photographer and while taking photos in a nightclub caught the prince in a compromising position in a public bathroom with a woman, he notices her and then has his eyes firmly set on her, and this is where the story really starts. What you will find in this story is a woman dealing with an ex-boyfriend that was cheating on her, a playboy bastard prince, a vindictive ex-boyfriend, a interfering half-brother, a domineering controlling father, reveling photos, drama, suspense, a loving and supportive family, humor, hounding paparazzi and tender loving erotic scenes. The story-lines, plots and various scene description is well thought out and written. The characters have personality and entwine well with each other and they are well developed, believable and have needs, desire and fears. This book is fantastic and I highly recommend this book written by a talented author to people that enjoy reading a exceptionally well written romance with a HEA. You will not be disappointed in this book.
ARC for honest review Edward g a York is a playboy prince who is third in line to the throne Rose Mathis is a feisty woman who struggles who her self image who is also a photographer and q whilst in a nightclub she catches the prince in a very comprising position in a bathroom with a woman he notices Rose and has his eyes set firmly on her after he helps her against her ex boyfriend he is arrested and his father gives him a month to change his lifestyle and image while Rose helps Edward they both realise what is it important in life and they find that in each other will these two have a happily ever after this book is a great read and has a guaranteed HEA after some twists and turns
This was really a very cute story. I found it just scrolling through the available books at my library. I'm glad I got it because I really enjoyed it and found it a sweet love story.
The story is about the playboy bastard Prince who needs to clean up his image and so comes up with the idea to have himself photographed doing good deeds and such. (There's a bit more to it than that in the book). He finds a photographer in Rose Mathis who happened to snap a picture of him in a not so good position.
While I wasn't happy with the women in the beginning, as soon as he met Rose, that all stopped. Their feelings for each other happened pretty quickly and in fact, this takes place over the span of a few weeks but it was too cute so it worked for me.
This is a fun read and there was quite a titillating scene between the two when he takes pictures of Rose. I recommend this one if you want a quick and fun read.
By the way, here on goodreads the author is listed as Avery Wilde but the author on the book and the About the Author in the back of the book say that it is Emilia Beaumont. Not sure what is happening with that.
This was a nice change of pace. Was very romantic, with blackmailing, strong characters and HEA. The bad boy prince and the strong independent photographer. She walks in on some indecent acts and is put in direct contact with the prince, who now needs her for help.
I chose to read and review this book. I am a fan of this author and do enjoy her work. This one was amazing. I liked the main characters very much. Edward and Rose are a joy to meet. I liked how they fight for their love and happiness together. I can't wait for more of her. I recommend it big time
Written in 1st Person Dual POV. The story was exciting at first but when he said he wanted her to photograph him for this and that, I got less interested. The story was okay, it was simple, not boring...
Although Edward York is born illegitimate, he’s technically the third in line to the Royal seat. But Edward doesn’t much care for the burden of duty and rules that are forced on his life. With a daily reminder of Edward’s poor choices strewn all over tabloids, his father issues the ultimatum for Edward to clean up his image or be cut off financially. His only chance lies with Rose Mathis, the sweet photographer who caught him with his pants down in her sister’s club.
Rose Mathis, a budding photographer, is only too happy helping her sister get her club off the ground. While doing candid shots of the club scene she stumbles across Edward in a compromising position. While there is an unhappy reunion of her cheating ex-boyfriend outside the club, Edward comes to Rose’s rescue. But Edward does not stop there, as he realizes Rose hasn’t turned the offending picture to the tabloids. At this point, Rose agrees in helping Edward’s plan of gaining a respectable reputation.
Ms. Wilde pens another winning Royal story. I was, once again, surprised by a sweet and entertaining read. Ms Wilde’s writing is fluid filled with characters that are endearing. I loved the gradual buildup and tension between Edward and Rose. Rose thought she was not good enough for Edward because of the details of her adoption. Edward was really not the shallow man portrayed by the media, but someone who is loyal and caring, and loved Rose. I enjoyed the scene between Edward and his father when he begins to talk about his relationship with Edwards’s mother. The revelation about Edward’s mother and the truly deep love his father felt for her was truly heartfelt. That was such a wonderful moment. Gah! I was besides myself. Royal Bastard is a lovely romantic story and one I recommend. Great job, Ms. Wilde.

Royal Bastard by Avery Wilde This is one of those books you can't put down till you finish it but you want it to last a long time. I fell in love with the story. If I could only read one book this is it. It is like a fairy tale in real life. I truly enjoyed this story and the writing of it. I would give Avery Wilde's a 10 for this book. Edward George Alexander York the third in line for the British throne. Was born from an affair his father had and raised by his mother till he was 10 years old when she die. Thrown in to a life he didn't want he became the black sheep of the family. Rose Mathis , just back from 2 years abroad. On top of that her boyfriend Brent went with her and she caught him cheating with a girl in their hotel room. She moved back home at the age of twenty-five. She was taking pictures at her sister's (Harriet) night club. A decision she was regretting, she loved taking photos of nature and landscapes, but she needed the job. As she took pictures Brent came up her in the night club, he wants her back. Rose wants nothing to do with him and just keeps taking pictures. She heads for the bathroom and as she opens the door their's a couple in there, she stands there not knowing what to do. So she takes and picture and leaves. Heading out of the club Brent is behind her, drunk and with a temper he pushes her against the walk. The man from the bathroom comes to help Rose. I was given this book for my honest opinion.
This is a lovely standalone romance story between a man and a woman who fight against love and how in the end love saves them both and bring them together. Edward G. A. York (aka The Bastard) , the playboy prince and 3rd in line to the throne meets Rose Mathis who is a photographer –she is super sassy and doesn’t take any gruff from anyone, including a prince. She was taking pictures at a nightclub and ended up taking some photos of the prince in a compromising position in a public bathroom with a woman. When Edward, the prince, sees this, sees Rose , he becomes aware of her as a woman. This is where the story really starts. He knows what her job is but he wants to get with her. He finds her intriguing and sexy. Rose has an ex boyfriend who is a jerk and has been harassing her. Edward helps get her ex arrested in return for her helping him reform his image to get his father off his back. Rose and Edward didn’t expect true feelings to occur –there is good chemistry between the MC – awesome sexual chemistry. There is also good humor and fantastic flow as we follow the flow of the characters as they try to outwit Edward’s father and end up falling in low. This is one great royal love story.
My rating: 4.5 stars **** **I was given an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review***
What a beautiful, funny, charming love story. Rose takes a compromising picture of Prince Edward's bare bottom. Later he saves her from her ex boyfriend. Edward is a womanizing, party hearty guy, with a bad press image, that frustrates and angers his family. After the altercation with Rose's ex, Edward is arrested, and the fallout from the press causes his father to give him an ultimatum. Clean up his act or be disinherited and funds cut off. Edward hires Rose to photograph him doing charity works to change his press image. Rose is a young down to earth commoner, suddenly thrust into the madhouse of Edward's life. Edward pushes Rose out of her shell and gives her confidence, but their growing feelings for each other could end in hearbreak. Her ex, and Edward's family all conspire to ruin their relationship. Is their love strong enough, and will Edward chose love over country. I loved the main characters, and Rose's family were so loving and supportive. Edward doesn't act like a wealthy entitled royal. He enjoys spaghetti dinner at Rose's parents, and even helps clean the table. Rose is sweet, has a self image problem, but stands up to Edward, and helps him be a better person.
Edward George Alexander York, is third in line for the British throne, but also a bastard. This status has not made his life easy with his grandfather, father, or step mother. He does not want to be Royal and feels it is his duty to live up to his notorious reputation; emptying the country’s coffers, getting hammered, and sowing his royal oats. He tries to do the right thing, by helping a woman in need, and he ends up arrested for his efforts. His father has will hear nothing of the situation and demanded he improve his bad boy image, or be disowned for good. Rose does have an incriminating photo of the Prince, but wasn’t going to sell the photo of him. Now Prince Edward wants a favor of Rose to improve his image. Neither expected to get to know one another so well that true feelings occur.
*explicit content* Rose and Edward are from very different backgrounds. Rose has several secrets of her own that rear up during their time together, the least of which being an abuse ex. Edward has been left on his own and filled his time with mindless pursuits. Rose has a plan to help him improve his reputation by getting him involved in something he has a passion for.

Who out there isn't attracted to or loves a bad boy? What if said bad boy just happened to be a prince? Would that change anything for you?
In "Royal Bastard" by Avery Wilde, we meet Prince Edward, the wild child of the royal family, and Rose Mathis, an up and coming photographer, that just so happens to catch the prince in a compromising position!
Prince Edward, or just Edward, as he would rather be addressed, finds himself in a jam when he tells his father that he is going to change his image and make his father proud of him.....in one month's time! And then he has to go and convince Rose to help him change his image....but they end up changing each other for the better in the long run.
Avery Wilde has an amazingly awesome writing style that is extremely relatable. We have all met and fallen in love with someone that we didn't think we deserved because we were not in their league, or had someone think that we were out of their league. This is a great example of a love story that shows you that in the end, love does conquer all! I give this book 5 out of 5 stars, but it very easily can get an 11 out of 5 stars from me!
Royal Bastard.....Prince Charming!? Prince Edward is the illegitimate son of the King and although he loves the monetary aspects, he wants nothing to do with the title. He is living the wild life of a single rich playboy. Rose is back living with her parents after breaking up with her cheating boyfriend, she is a little down but pressing on until she can get back on her feet. Her sister employed her to take random pictures of celebrities who frequent her club but Rose has been so out of touch that she is clueless about who they are. Her ex becomes a stalker, ok this real-life scenario has always baffled me....if he wanted her so much why did he cheat??, smh...men! Anyway... these two unlikely characters happen to "see" one another, lol. This story is hilarious, I love a romance with humor. Great story, love it, couldn't put it down. It has the perfect mix of family drama, secrets & love!!!
A royal story that is different than the next in line for a crown falling for a commoner. Edward is the illegitimate son of the king and is known for his bad boy ways. Rose is a shy girl who loves taking pictures and has an ex who wont take no for an answer. When Edward tries to clean up his image he turns to the one person he thinks he can trust, Rose, for help. While trying to help Edward they both realize what is important in life and they find it in each other. Their story isn't without its' challenges, with a father that is hard on a son, a half brother who will do anything to save the royals from shame, an ex who will stop at nothing and two people who have their doubts about whether they are good enough for the other. I loved this book from Avery Wilde. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
What a fantastic read from M/S Wild. This is one very heart warming book. The third in line for the crown is a Bad Boy Who is about to be kicked out of the Royal Family if he doesn't get his act together. Edward asked his father to give him a month to prove that he could change. The night before all this happen he was out a club and he got caught with his pants down and there was a photo taken. Rose was the one who took the photo but she had no attention of it ever getting out So that is the start of things between Edward and Rose. Edward hired Rosr to follow him around for the month taken photos of him. Will everything stay on business footing? This is one book you are going to love and if you have not read any books from this author this is one that will make you fall in love with this author's work. Received this book for an honest review.
He is the bad boy of the royal family. She catches him with his pants down. When he rides to her rescue, he gets himself into more trouble then ever. He needs her help to clean up his image. They don't expect to fall in love.
Rose leads a very normal life until she is thrown into this world of wealth and privilege by Edward. She is pretty insecure but he works to increase her confidence. Edward enjoys being with her and really becomes a better person. They both really change as they work together to repair his reputation. Of course, not everyone is happy with them being together.
I really enjoy the books by Avery Wilde. They are fun reads. The men enjoy being single until they meet the special woman that changes their life. If you like your bad boys with a good heart, check out this book.
Received this complimentary arc copy from the author for an honest review. OMG , What a powerful story. What started off about Prince Edward the playboy prince and Rose Mathis a young photographer, became so much more. Their first meeting was an eye opener to say the least, then Rose taking a photo of Edward in a compromising position made me laugh. Then he needs her help to change his image and from then on, a royal romance started to bloom. The ups and downs of two totally different families and lifestyles coming together, family feuds, secrets, and so much more. I have to admit as the story went along, at certain times it made me cry. It was a beautiful, emotional story and even better than i imagined. Being from the UK myself and I love our monarchy, this story was even more special to me. Loved it all.
I loved this story. It pulled on my emotions. I had to wait 2 days before I could write the review. It's one reason why I love Avery Wilds writing. There was a bonus story included, I have already read it and posted the review under its title. Overview. Edward was 1/2 Royal. He has always felt like the black sheep or bastard child from an affair his father had before he married a princes. So Edward would act out in hopes of being cut off. But in the process of having fun, he runs into/saves Rose from her exboyfriend. Rose was a good girl. She traveled and took pictures. But when her boyfriend cheated on her she moved back home. Now the prince of darkness wants the hire her to make the public and his dad see a better side of him. But in the process, both find love in the wrong place and both could loose a lot.
I love everything Avery writes and this book was no exception. This book is the story of Edward a black sheep bad boy royal and Rose a sweet photographer a little down on her luck. Rose recently broke up with her cheating boyfriend and is working for her sister taking promotional pictures of her night club. She ends up catching Edward in the bathroom with his latest conquest and snaps a photo of him in action. Edward is in hot water with his family for his partying ways. Fed up with his latest antics Edward has a month to clean up his act or he is cut off from the family. He is desperate for help and needs Rose's help. This is a sweet romance filled exes, family drama, media scrutiny and much more. Edward and Rose are great, loveable characters that everyone will love.
Edward is a womanizer and also likes to party. Edward has a bad press image. Edward hires Rose to photograph him doing charity works to change the press's image of himself. Rose takes a compromising picture of Prince Edward's bare bottom. Then Edward Saves Rose from her Ex boyfriend. Edward and Rose start to have feelings for each other. Edward helps Rose break out of her shell. But Edward's family and Rose's ex try there hardest to keep them apart and to ruin there relationship. I loved the story line and plot. It was funny and charming with well written explicit content in it. I couldn't put the book down until the very end. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. This is a royalty story with a difference. When Rose takes a picture of Edward in a compromising position, he needs to get her to stop getting the picture published. He is the bastard son, total hell-raiser, and party animal. When he is forced to change his image he knows exactly who is going to help him. These two are an unlikely couple, but totally awesome together. Loved this book and will be recommending and reading more of Avery’s work in the future.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. As always with Averys books I was smitten from the beginning and although Rose and Ed meet in the most awkward if situations, you know that it's going to be an amazing journey, especially once Edward realises that he needs to make a change in his life or risk losing everything, so asks for Roses help. A totally enjoyable story filled with laughter and romance and well worth a read and in my opinion more than 5 stars. Can't wait for the next Avery book. Always throughly well written. A definite recommend.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I loved this well written fairy tale story. Can the love between a Royal to a commoner survive the strictures that are presented being a Royal Heir. Edward, being a rebelling Prince falls in love with Rose, who comes from a questionable background. Like the story of Cinderella, it is Edward who has to deal with the conniving family who do everything to keep the lovers from marrying. This is a very good book that keeps your interest and fast paced. Will love win in a HEA?
