GET SMASHED...OR BE SMASHED! Valiant's (somewhat) dynamic duo are going "IN THE BAG" for AN ALL-NEW ONGOING SERIES from rising star Rafer Roberts and comic book superstar David Lafuente!

Meet Armstrong: Since the ancient city of Ur, this immortal adventurer has spent the last 7,000 years drinking and carousing his way through history alongside some of the greatest merrymakers the world has ever known.

Meet Archer: A sheltered teenage martial arts master and expert marksman that was raised for a single purpose – to kill the devil incarnate. Little did he know that this undying evil was actually Armstrong (he's actually a pretty good guy...once you get to know him) and, since hitting the road together, the two have become great friends and even better partners.

Now: Archer is about to set off on his most dangerous mission yet – a quest into the mystic reaches of Armstrong's bottomless satchel to liberate his friend and comrade from the clutches of the mad god Bacchus! (Okay, so, Armstrong went into the satchel himself to get a bottle of whiskey that he kinda misplaced and got stuck. It's like the Amazon warehouse of arcane treasures in there...and he doesn't exactly have a maid service.)

Imprisoned in Armstrong's satchel for centuries, Bacchus now commands a legion of monsters, goblins and golems bent on escaping back into the world of man and enacting revenge on their captor... Can Archer single-handedly combat the godly embodiment of intoxication himself – and rescue his best buddy – without becoming lost amongst Armstrong's endless repository of bizarre artifacts and historical oddities in the process?

Archer and Armstrong are back at it in this new series from Rafer Roberts and David Lafuente!

We've seen Armstrong carrying around a satchel for years now, but we never really knew what was inside it. Turns out its sort of a "Bag of Holding" and contains an entire dimension complete with goblins, lizard people and all kinds of monsters and aliens - not to mention 3000 years of junk that Armstrong has collected! Inspired by the death of an old friend, Armstrong climbs into the bag in search of something related to his friend. But after he's gone for a long time, Archer decides to venture in after him, and not everything in the bag is friendly!

These two are definitely Valiant's version of The Odd Couple - a 6000 year old, immortal drunk pair with a naive, teenage psiot whose power is the ability to mimic any fighting technique he's ever just seen. The possibilities for misadventure are endless! The characters just work so well together and any bickering or intense discussion can be hilarious! Roberts gives these characters some awesome dialogue and it just flows across the page! Really enjoyable and fun!

The "Bag of Holding" idea is from Dungeons and Dragons most commonly. And I think everyone who's ever had one in D&D has wanted to venture inside and have an adventure - that's exactly what Roberts gives us here! The world he's creating inside the satchel is hysterical and so fitting of something Armstrong would have owned for 3000 years! No wonder there are some people in there who aren't fond of their situation! This should make for a fun story!

I've seen plenty of David Lauente's cover art, but I don't think I've seen him do interiors. His style here is just silly enough to work so well with Roberts' script. A fun and fantastic melding that makes graphic literature so wonderful!

This was a really fun romp that I think everyone would enjoy! More, please!

This comic is fun. And under-appreciated. Funderappreciated? The duo are back and they're as full of banter as ever, with the story successfully drawing the contrasting dynamics of Archer and Armstrong out.

Fun premise, but not my thing. I love the cover art but I can't get into the vibe. Is it cliche? Juve? Eh.
