Baseball Pitching Mastery: Guide To Becoming A Dominant Pitcher

Rate this book
Want an interesting way to conceptualize pitching? Consider a pitcher to be an artist, a baseball his paintbrush, and the strike-zone his canvas. The art of pitching is a finer form of playing catch. Having the ability to throw a baseball with pinpoint accuracy while manipulating the ball to do what you want it to do is an art. How fast does the ball move? Does it curve into a batter or slide away from the batter? Does it sink out of the strike zone at the last moment, tempting a batter to swing at a difficult pitch to hit? Can the pitcher finesse a pitch so well that it confuses a batter enough to let a good ball to hit get by him? The ability to make a baseball move and dance in and out of the strike zone is an art.The competent artist is a master of his paintbrush and canvas. The competitive pitcher is a master of the baseball, his mound and strike zone.As a pitcher, when you are on the mound…IT IS YOUR MOUND. You must have the confidence/borderline arrogance that nobody can touch you. If you have that feeling of supreme confidence, you will be successful.
