MEET ADRIAN HELL.

A deadly, unorthodox assassin who is plagued by the guilt he carries with him over the death of his family. Operating to his own moral standards, fueled by a passionate sense of what's right and wrong, he travels the country, taking out people he believes deserve his bullets.

In TRUE CONVICTION, he takes a job in Heaven's Valley, Nevada, where a local crime family wants to send a message by killing a businessman who has gone back on a deal, costing the mob boss millions of dollars. But when Adrian arrives and tracks down his target, he quickly discovers a much larger threat looming in the shadows, and it isn't long before he finds himself in the crosshairs of multiple adversaries. With help from his best friend, Josh Winters, he uses his skills to learn more about the other players in this dangerous game. But when the stakes are raised, he’s pushed beyond his limits as he fights to prevent a terrorist attack that would act as a catalyst for another world war.

In HUNTER'S GAMES, he travels to San Francisco, commissioned to take out a government official who’s found himself on the wrong side of the wrong people. The job goes as planned, but before Adrian can leave the scene, he’s taken into custody by the FBI. Grace Chambers, a straight-talking special agent, asks him to help bring down a terrorist known as The Shark, who's responsible for several recent attacks on the city. But things aren't what they seem, and when the truth behind Adrian's involvement is revealed, so too is the full extent of The Shark's horrifying plans. Forced into a deadly game of cat and mouse, our unlikely hero goes bullet for bullet with an unseen enemy, as the fate of thousands of innocent people hangs in the balance. With time running out, and the body count rising, Adrian must do whatever it takes to stop his adversary before it's too late.

In ONE LAST BULLET, he decides it's finally time to go after the man who took away everything he ever loved. Having lived with the guilt over the death of his family for over a decade, he feels he must put his demons to rest and seek the closure he so desperately craves. But from the moment he arrives in Pittsburgh, his increasingly reckless attempts to destroy everything Wilson Trent has built only leads to further suffering. With his best friend by his side, and blinded by his thirst for vengeance, Adrian must take on Trent's entire criminal empire in order to have his revenge.

BONUS CONTENT: A HERO OF WAR - The year is 1990, and an eighteen-year-old Adrian Hughes has joined the army. Showing a natural talent for combat, and for disobeying senior officers, this exciting novella documents Adrian's initial training, and his eventual involvement in the Gulf War. But his story is only just the beginning.

An excellent value way to access this brilliant series! If you like your hitman thrillers full of violence, fighting, comradeship, some comedy, and great writing, this is the series for you! But be warned - once you start reading, it's very hard to stop again!! I love these books, and cannot recommend them highly enough, reading and rereading them frequently, and still getting enjoyment from them every time. I hope you do too!
Individual Books
Prequel Short Story: A Hero of War (5*)
A great prequel short story that gives more of Adrian's back story. An interesting read that rounds out his character more and makes sense of some references made in the earlier books. Definitely one for Adrian Hell fans.
Book 1: True Conviction (4*)
LOVED this book! Full of violence, action, adventure and general mayhem, it was a great read and very different from most books. There were moments that were a little annoying - when the author detracted from the action with long-winded descriptions of guns, bullets and their capabilities for example - but the rest of the book made up for it. If this is your kind of reading, I'd definitely recommend it!
Book 2: Hunter's Games (5*)
An excellent series that continues to get better! Great writing, and even though you 'shouldn't' like Adrian, you really do love him and Josh. Really enjoyed this story, and now have all the series to read through... even though that means I won't be getting much else done in the meantime, as they're just so good, I can't put them down!! Highly recommended reading!!
Book 3: One Last Bullet (4*)
A good story that was a wholly enjoyable read. My only negative? Adrian would never be without his guns or other weapons, least of all knowing everyone was after him, would definitely not enter a clearly breached room unarmed, and would definitely not let anyone in there remain unsearched, no matter how pretty they were!! However, those points aside, it's an excellent story full of its characteristic violence, thrills and spills, and I loved it, especially the continued development of the relationship between Josh and Adrian too. Can't wait for book 4!

Very well written. I find the stories fun and exciting and the pace can be breathtaking, which works well for this sort of book. I qould subjectively say that these are on par with Reacher books and the Jonathan Grave series. They are vastly superior to the Jack Widow series.

I do find very small issues in the writing, mainly around the tense of the characters' throughts at the very beginning of a new chapter, but this is very minor. Also, you have to really buy into the almost superhuman skills of the character in order to enjoy the books. And finally, there are a few occasions where the character makes an out of character mistake in order to set up a "situation". Again, these are pretty minor and you have to just hold your nose because the plot rocks and rolls pretty quickly.

In this specific grouping (1-3), there is also a 4th novella at the end, which is a MUST READ. It explains the genesis of the character in the best possible way IMO.

New Jack Reacher as critics say? Very unlikely.
Every criminal does as they like. A contract killer assasinates whoever he wants and easily gets out of any situation. There is an excuse for every murder.
The dead number in the hundreds, and the killer still helps the Department of Defense and FBI agents who forgive him everything and call him whenever they can't solve the problem on their own. And, when they are all stacked, here is James Bond solution.

"FBI agent: you kill people for living, but you're good man." Say again?

I finished two books only. I can only wonder how many more people will get killed by our "hero" in the following books. But, I won't find out.

And, if you want to read a book of new Superman - just go ahead! This guy shot down Stinger by his Beretta.

Awful, could have been entertaining but was simply painful to wade through. Purchase the second set at the same time but can't force myself to invest the time after wasting too much on this set already. I don't understand how others have given positive reviews for these things. I enjoy giving good reviews to authors who have taken me on a journey of discovery, excitement or filled me with joy but these are the only books (out of thousands I've read) that I have felt the need to give a bad review. I would normally put it down to an individuals taste for the variety of book reviews but not in this case, here with these reviews, something is just wrong!

Rollocking good yarn - if not a little ‘over the top’

A good series but a little bit too much of unbelievable action - don’t get me wrong and I did enjoy the read but to think a person could go on a multi state killing spree and only once have a brush with the police …..

For me the 3rd in the series was the best part of the story with the characters ‘settling into’ their respective roles but the more I think of the read the more holes appear..
Fun to read - in a way - but a little strange.

Interesting series about a mercenary-for-hire/assassin with a heart of tarnished gold. Engaging character and storyline with lots of plot twists, although some of them were not unexpected. The protagonist has an extreme aptitude for what he does, leading to some near-superhuman feats, but he is not without his foibles. Entertaining and easy read with plenty of surprises to keep the reader engaged.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars as a whole for the four-story omnibus.

The up and down of Adrian.

These three book’s gives life of an assassin, showing his and a friend way of life. Adrian’s life is very volatile. Every killing is a way to put his pain of his wife and daughter deaths behind him, but it doesn’t till he is able to kill the man that killed them. Then he does have peace. Wonder what effect that will have on the rest of the series?

Wonderful read

I was captivated from the minute I started reading. Right down the line in terms of my favourite fiction writing. Characters are kept believable, the storyline flows well and didn't want to put the book down. Can't say better than that

Worth Reading

I don’t give that title to most of the thrillers I read. The novels are worth the time and effort. Yes, I would change a few things if I were the author. Having read the first three novels, I will soon start on the 4th.

Fun action adventure

I love an assassin action story and this one did not disappoint. The characters were likeable, even the villains. There was plenty of action and even humor. This would make a good movie.

Gratuitous violence, more bodies than you can count, and guns galore. One man army who constantly gets captured and abused by all.

Extreme violence in graphic detail

And yet I read the series through to the end. Equivocal on how I feel about an assassin as a hero.

a little thin and predictable

Doesn’t live up to the advertised hype, way to much unnecessary description of minor things and way to predictable with over the top violence.

It's a good read and keeps you guessing as to how it will turn out, but it's a bit over the top.

Action Packed

This series is a real winner. The action is fast paced and the relationship between Adrian and Josh is like a brotherhood and quite funny. I will enjoy reading more of Mr. Summer's novels.

Heads up! Great Box Set.

An assassin with a wicked sense of humor and a partner with a flare for sarcasm. Perfect! Definitely not a stuffy government set of books. Yes, Adrian is flawed and gets himself into jams a lot but he's got an angel in his ear that helps him out. Let's be honest, these books aren't for the feint hearted. He's an assassin band there is a lot of violence. But, it seems offset by the humor involved. I just found a new series I really want to follow.

Action galore

Books 1-3 were an easy read for me. I like the action but found a lot of repetition with the characters feelings and thought process. Felt a little let down that the lead character never made it back to his FBI friend or settled the score with C.F. Guess I'll need to find books 4,5,6.
