Bio-Whale

A super melty trip about a secret military weapon gone haywire and the people it affects. Part sci-fi action thriller, part melancholia, part absurd psychedelia.

"Bio-Whale is full of quiet, detailed moments, and unsettled feelings. . . . the type of book that might be best read with a mellow buzz . . ."

the sort of absurdist political themes are emotionally resonant, but reflecting on villes quote about althusser during the creation of this graphic novel u Can sort of tell It Doesnt Really Say Much. Maybe wasted potential but i still find it to be a brilliant little bit of art. and i do love the guys. Clean Up time!

A weird multiple pov narrative centered around a sentient war machine. A kid with a premonition, a conspiratory political activist, a remote driver, a enforcer and a fly makeup the different protagonists. It's pretty wild and sometimes a little hard to follow as the art can get a little muddy. But so damn gorgeous. It's riso printed with flashy pinks.

Not Peow's best, but very much in line as far as object quality goes. This one comes with a nice little slipcase

Bio-Whale is only firm enough narratively to let you connect a series of events and attach proper nouns to characters. Everything else surrounding that is a bright pink blob of bubbling lines and dramatic shapes.

A strange, surreal SF mood piece. A splodgy fever dream of collected images. I don’t exactly know how to parse this in all honesty, and I think that’s part of its allure.

feels like a combo of akira and a cruelty squad prologue, cool to see some of the imagery and ideas here in comic form and how they were fleshed out for the game
