ALL IS FAIR IN LOVE AND WAR

Taking a potshot at a rival paper's snobbish dining columnist was all in a day's work for restaurant critic Sara Courtney. But she certainly hadn't intended to fire the first volley in a war of words that had all of Los Angeles talking!

Nor had she counted on falling in love with the object of her scorn, Paul Cabot Egerton, but it happened. Protected by her pseudonym and her disguise as a nondescript matron while she worked, Sara had no trouble hiding most of her life from Paul.

Yet hiding leer feelings was another matter entirely....

Paul and Sara are restaurant critics at rival papers. Paul is a snob. Sara goes out in disguise when she reviews. They meet as themselves and are attracted to each other but Sara must keep her alter ego hidden. She's not comfortable with that. Paul is jealous of her "other" suitors.

I enjoyed watching this battle of the sexes. I liked how they brought out the best in each other by the end. I wanted to slap Paul upside of the head at times. An enjoyable read!
