*Each book in the "A Real Man" series stand on their own. The only thing connecting each book in the series is they feature real men claiming their women.*
She will be the only one he’ll ever want. He was the first boy she fell in love with.
Quinn I met Isabel when I was ten. I fell in love with her before I even knew what that meant. I knew from the moment I saw her she was it for me. No one else compared to her, and I’d do anything to make her mine. But I was afraid of losing the friendship we have, so I've kept my mouth shut. But she's leaving me, and I know I can't keep how I feel inside any longer. Saving myself for the girl I loved isn't a hardship, but something I'm proud of. When it comes to Isabel giving her my virginity, and making her see we belong together, is all that matters.
Isabel Quinn is like the other half of my soul, the one person I can talk to about anything. He has the bad boy thing going on but is also respectful as much as he is a rebel. He is the first and only boy I will ever love. Being forced to move across the country, and leave him behind is like leaving a piece of myself in the process. But telling Quinn, I am madly in love with him could put a strain on our friendship. I didn’t know if that’s something I can handle or risk.
Quinn Nothing can keep me from Isabel. She is it for me, and I mean that in every conceivable way. Nothing can keep me from her. I hope she's ready because there isn't anything or anyone that will stop me from having her as mine.
Warning: This story is quick and dirty, and filled with a virgin hero that wants his heroine to be his one and only. It's drama-free and has insta-everything going on, so be prepared to have an overload of sugary virgin goodness.
3.5 - Another entertaining and stimulating smutty read!
Yep, I'm officially hooked on Jenika Snow's writing style and her addictive stories. Virgin is book #2 in A Real Man series which told Isabel and Quinn’s story. This author definitely knows how to write a sexy as sin book and sugary-sweet erotica!
Quinn and Isabel met when they were 10 years old, became inseparable and best friends. As the years went on, their relationship grew stronger, their friendship tighter and their feelings evolved into something else…
Since the very beginning, Quinn knew he wanted her in his life forever. He’s now nineteen, plays hockey and he’s madly in love with Isabel. She’s his world, the air he breathes, the most important person in his life. Afraid to ruin everything between them, he never once told her his true feelings.
When Isabel finds out that her father got a promotion and that she has to move across the country with her family, she’s devastated. She doesn’t know how to tell Quinn any of this, especially that the position her dad is taking needs to be filled right away. The idea of leaving Quinn, the other half of her soul and the one guy she’s hopelessly in love with, is just unbearable.
For Quinn, nothing can keep him from Isabel. He has always been her protector and she’s it for him in every conceivable way. There isn't anything or anyone that will stop him from having her as his.
Quinn is one yummy virgin and I loved the way he shows Isabel a side that he doesn’t allow anyone else to see, and that make Isabel love him even harder.
I really enjoyed this short, sweet and HOT story that gave me just what I wanted. I am so ready for the next one!! :))
If you're looking for something short and hot, this is definitely for you.
You'll need to turn your brain off for this one, though.
This was a late night audio for me.
Go buy the audiobook and enjoy.
You'll find some clichés here and there, and I did roll my eyes at all the typical possessive "alpha" lines, but they won't stop you from following the story.
This was a very short story, yet so full of love and passion. I have no idea why it took me so long to read it, and when I did, I was blown away!
Quinn first met Isabel when they were ten. He protected her from being bullied, and since then, they’d become best friends. He knew that he fell in love with her the moment he saw her and she was the world to him, but had never told her. He was afraid if she knew it, their friendship would be ruined and he would lose her. Meanwhile, Isabel felt exactly the same as he did. He was her everything. With him, she felt so protected, so warm, and so content.
One day, Isabel’s parents told her that they were going to move across the country due to her father’s promotion. With less than two weeks before Quinn and Isabel would have to live thousands of miles away from each other, he decided to tell her about his feelings for her and he would make sure she knew that she was his—only his.
“This is irreversible, Isabel. You are tied to me. You are mine no matter what.”
This book thoroughly took me by surprise. I didn’t expect it to be so sweet like this! Ooh yeah, I loved it and enjoyed every page I read. Quinn and Isabel were such a lovely couple and the fact that they kept their virginity for each other was totally hit the spot for me. So cute!
“Isabel, there isn’t anything on this fucking planet I wouldn’t do for you.” I leaned in close, so we were eye to eye. “There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for us.”
Now if you think you're ready for ‘sugar overload’, then pick this one up. You'll love it!
I'm really glad I bought this story on Amazon. The blurb is amazing and just what I've been looking for in a short book. Alexa Riley fans, this one's so for you, seriously! It's super sweet with OTT hero and not an annoying heroine, also the plot is cute. What more could you want, right? OK, no action there, sorry, but still this a wonderul story about two yound people, who've been friends for forever and now want to take the next step in their relationship. Of course there is one plot twist but it's nothing they can't overcome.
Yup, not even ashamed of admiting that... Quinn, OMG!!! I want him!!! He's so sweet and totally OTT and possessive towards his girl, that alone makes me feel super good. And besides that he's also not an idiot and knows how to make things work, so that a huge plus in my book. As for Isabel...well...lets just say she's not an angel when it comes to things that have to do with the bedroom. ;) I was really surprised by her but it was a pleasant surprise for sure.
All in all, this book is fun and sexy and just go get it already!!!
Quinn and Isabel are just 18 years old, still in school, best friends since they were 10, secretly in love with each other and both virgins.
The will admit their feelings after Isabel's family decides to move in another town...And they will finally become one under the stars.
A simple, totally safe story. Lots of "You are mine" and "I am yours". Two points of view. Two main sex scenes: their first time where everything is described in EVERY detail and another one after two years together.
A comfort read which does not require deep thinking, but it will make you feel good.
My goodness this was insanely hot, a short read but hot! The MC's were so sweet and in love with each other, with the hero being OTT possessive, but here's something different, his a "virgin" I liked that they were both each other's first. Definitely enjoyed this short, and super sexy novella I know I would of rated it higher if it would of been a bit longer. I wanted more and that's always a good thing....I have to say that epilogue was just perfect though. <3
Both were always devoted to each other. They met when they were 10yrs old and became best friends. Now at 18, They confess their love for each other. They are each other's first.
What a sweet and hot little read! You can't get much better than two virgins who have been together since they were kids...definitely soul mates. My biggest complaint...I wanted more..more of these two and marriage and babies.
A safer book you will never find. They are each other everything and have always been. For me it was cute and hot but very drama less. I don't mind cause sometimes you need less drama. It would have been 5 stars if they had given an epilogue with a baby or two. The next book in this series looks good also. Can't wait Great read and just hit the sweet spot for me.
If a quick, sexy read is what you are looking for then this is the book for you. Isabel and Quinn have been the best of friends since they were ten years old..They have grown up together, and instead of feeling like family, they end up falling in love/lust with each other. When Isabel's family decides they need to move due to her Father's job, Quinn wants to make sure she knows his true feelings for her. From that point on, there is a ton of sex, and then the readers get some great epilogues.
My biggest complaint is that there just isn't much depth to the story. I know it is meant to be short; but I have read short stories that can pack a real punch. If you go into reading this knowing that what you are getting is an insta love read with hardcore sex; than it shouldn't be an issue!! Just don't pick up this story if you are expecting full character profiles, and a storyline that is extremely fulfilling!!! There were a bunch of editing mistakes that could have been corrected as well. That is a peeve of mine. I do overlook it is a few, but there were quite a few in this particular read.
Jenika Snow knows how to write heroes that make me swoon… double that with a virgin H? Yes puuu lease!!!!
Quinn and Isabel (both 18 and seniors in high school) have been close/best friends and they were 10 years old, and they both want each other. But neither have tried to cross the line because they don’t want their friendship to be ruined. Quinn’s a hockey player, who’s big, strong, and tattooed… who’s only ever had eyes for his best friend 👀😅
Isabels parents need to move because her of her dad‘s job. Which means that she’ll be away from Quinn… but before she leaves, she wants their time to be memorable, and there’s only one person that either of them will lose their v’s to…
Oh good LAWD. Jenika always delivers the dirty talking and dirty acting Hs… jeeezus 🔥he might’ve been a v, but he knows EXACTLY what he’s doing 😅…their first time lasts a whopping 18 pages (from beginning to end), and I was here for it 👀🔥🔥🔥 (I had just finished a book where the smexxy times were a few pages… thank you Jenika Snow 🤣). And the way he pleases her is just 🥵💦
Sigh. What a great palate cleanser. Sure, there are grammar mistakes, but I didn’t even care. I was swooning too much to notice… and, well, getting hot as well 😅
Loved it
⚠️safety squad ⚠️ -no cheating/sharing/owd/omd -no condoms/both virgins -HEA/2 epilogues/2 years later/5 years later
This "A Real Man" series by Jenika Snow is scorching hot! It is a short read, but in my opionion, it packed a good story in such a small package.
Quinn and Isabel have been friends since they were 10 years old. They each loved each other but was afraid to express their feeling for fear of losing the other. So they remained as close as two people could be, while never professing their true feelings. Quinn finally decides he is going to tell Isabel how he feels and Isabel gives him shocking news......
Such a sweet story. Quinn is the bad boy alpha who is so devoted to Isabel that he has remained a virgin, saving himself for his one true love, Isabel. They have such a sweet love story. I adore this series....no cheating , no ow/om drama, no pushing away, just true love with a HFN.... I would have enjoyed more of a look into their future and that is why it wasn't 5 stars! I am looking forward to the next book in this series!!
This was kind of cute? I'm a sucker for young love stories, and the fact that both characters were virgins was a nice change.
The editing in this is atrocious, though. The tense changes from paragraph to paragraph and there were some words that were just plain wrong. Another run through would have picked most of these issues up.
And this is going to sound completely whack coming from me, cause I curse like a sailor most of the time.... But I just don't think there needs to be so much swearing ? Every second thought doesn't need to contain a swear word or two is what I'm saying. Less is more. Just my two cents.
This was much better than Lumberjack but it didn't press all my buttons.
I'm intrigued enough to keep going with the series for now.
4.5 stars. I loved this story. Although the MCs in this book are young they weren't written really young so I just let that part go in my mind. It was so refreshing to have a friends to lovers story where the H isn't out whoring around so as not to think about how much he wants the h. Quinn was absolutely 100% dedicated to Isabel in this story. No other girl would do. He proved he would move mountains to be with her. My only complaint was how short it is. But there is a story here too. I just wish we could get more of them and an epilogue further into their future. Still an awesome read though. Totally safe.
Awww this one was a winner for me. Sexy and sweet. Young love, as some of you may know, is a favorite of mine. Quinn is a delightful package with all the bad boy stuff we love but 100% owned by Isabel. She's the only girl he's ever wanted and the things he does for and to her... phew! /fans self. This is definitely a good one as a cleanse between heavy books or if the hero of your last book was an @$$. Quinn will fix you right proper :-p
Review is similar to diets / weights articles you find on magazines (i.e Women's Health Mag) .
Why eating less and exercising more doesn't always lead to weight loss
WHY READING OTHER GENRES LESS AND READING MORE SMUT EROTICA DOESN'T ALWAYS LEAD TO 5 STAR RATING
The story is short, others find it very sweet but not me, too far fetched to believe (I know, I know, it's smut but I still want it to be relatable at some level) and boring.
Is this truly the for me????
Ok.
Things one can do to finally get back on track and enjoy reading.
1. You're reading too much of the same genre.
WHAT YOU CAN DO Lay off this genre.
2. You're gaining muscles putting too much expectations.
WHAT YOU CAN DO Lower it or stop reading.
3. You still persevere even though you're losing interest.
WHAT YOU CAN DO Stop being a completionist. DNF is an option.
4. Your disappointment went out of control.
WHAT YOU CAN DO Do not read the next sequel anymore.
Rating this 1Very-sorely-disappointedStar
I was very excited to read this, given the rate I gave Lumberjack. But I'll stop right here as I don't want to get disappointed again and sever my ties with you, Ms Snow.
I DECIDED TO READ THE OLD BOOKS BECAUSE I’M GETTING BORED WITH THE NEW ONES LOL. AND THIS BOOK IS SUCH A SAFE QUICK ROMANTIC HOT LOVE STORY I NEED FROM the heart breaks book that is soooo freakin annoying lol.
BOTH ARE VIRGINS
THE HERO IS POSSESSIVE ALPHA MALE
LITTLE JEALOUS SCENES FROM BOTH
NO CHEATING
IT HAS SEPARATION FOR A MONTH BUT BOTH ARE VERY EXTREMELY LOYAL TO EACH OTHER
THE HERO IS OBSESSED WITH THE HEROINE
THE HERO IMMEDIATELY TELLS THE HEROINE THAT HE LOVES HER VERY MUCH AFTER THE HEROINE TOLD HIM SHE WAS MOVING AWAY LOL
I thought that any over-the-top sweet story would work for me anytime. Unfortunately, this book just proved myself wrong. It was an okay read would be the best way to describe it. Although Quinn and Isabel had an admirable relationship since they were kids, it just bordered on obsession. If I was any of their parents, I would be pulling my hair out. LOL! This was all predictable and would have worked best for me another time. It just didn't at this point.
PS--The cover did not help any because that guy did not look like a high schooler. At all. LOL some more!
Don't mind me, apparently right now I'm the grinch of friends to lovers...
And then I read this one after reading Say you're mine. It seemed like too much for me and was about to drop it. But I didn't, and I can't regret it. Not that it was life changing or something but was nice enough. Better than the other book I mentioned.
I had an issue with the word fuck and derivatives... Seems like our hero's vocabulary wasn't that ample. Even though he was supposed to be the smart one finishing high school early. My favorite parts were the epilogue and the bonus epilogue.
This book is a lot better than book 1. I love how devoted they are to each other. Their love is so strong and it's wonderful to read.
The story is about Quinn, 18 and Isabel, 18.
At the age of 10, Quinn became Isabel's protector. Someone made her cry and he defended her. After that, no one even dares to mess with her.
They hadn't been apart for more than a day. They're inseparable. Best friends and in love but they're both scared to ruin everything between them until she needs to move away.
Her father got a promotion and they need to move across the country which means she has to leave Quinn. It's for a year until she finishes school and they can be together again but it's too long for them and he won't wait that long to be with her again.
I love how he did everything to be close to her again. He's so sweet, so protective and his love for her is unconditional. Isabel is a very lucky girl. Both of them are lucky they found true love at an early age.
There's an epilogue. They're engage. If you'll read A Real Man: Volume One, there's a bonus epilogue with marriage and a baby.
WHAT THE FUCK WAS I THINKING!?!? I should have known from the title. So I read this book a few days ago and I am cataloging all that I have read in the past couple of weeks. So I see the title in my library and read the description and I could not recall a single thing about the book. I love you drake
Anywho, I decided to scroll down to the reviews to remember and then it finally struck me that there is nothing worthy of remembering in this stupid book.. I love you too dean DAMONN you know I will love you forever
I think I am seeing a pattern here, I mean aside from me fangirling over pretty faces.. That I am a bitter female who has problems with everything and hardly pops out a 5 star review from my uptight ass I mean besides that too............. I think I lost my train of thought since I have switched to speaking with myself.
Ohh wait the review. Right, well it was a bland book and they live in a fairy land where being teenagers, uneducated and making no money leads to epic love! I really don't care to remember much else..
I was in need of some brain candy and this fit the bill. I don't enjoy erotica, so I skipped a lot of this, but the story was so sweet. There wasn't too much angst and it was a totally safe read. With simplistic writing and no real character or plot development, I can't rate this any higher. But it did make me squee on the inside. Ah, young love and one and onlys? Adorable.
Really sweet and short. H/h are best friends since they were young and both are virgins as they waited for each other. I’m quite impressed how Quinn and Isabel really wanted their relationship to work and going as far as for Quinn to relocate even before finishing senior year at their town.
