This is one of the cutest and most heartwarming children's books I've ever read. I loved the illustrations, they were very vibrant and eye catching and went perfectly with the story. The story was equally as amazing and full of messages and one very important one "Love Everything." I'd definitely recommend it if you enjoy Children's books and heartwarming tales of friendship and love. :)

Thanks to James for this review copy.

How should I rate this book? How many stars? I'm clearly not the target market, but I enjoy this!

A story about friendship.

Octoshi is the story of a young boy who his family owns a sushi shop, one day an octopus is in the tank that his father is going to sushi for a very wealthy person. Through his grandmothers learning he doesn't want this octopus to become sushi.

The story is simple, but the narration sounds poetic at time.

The illustrations are great I kinda like how they look like watercolour. They don't look like digital art, instead of handmade drawings.

It's short and clearly a children story. The story is cute and heartwarming, it is full of lessons for children, well not full but it has a very important one. I quote "Love Everything".

I'm going to give it a 4 stars, because I enjoy it. Definitely I could read this to my future children!

This was such a cute and realteable story. I loved the illustrations and the simple message of "Love Everything". The story follows the story of a little boy who loves fish even though his father works in a sushi restaurant. I think it is because of that and it gives a wonderful catalyst for a great story. Thank you James for letting me read this and review it. I think this was a wonderful story that both kids and adults can learn some valuable lessons from.

Nice job, James!

This book is amazing! I'm 12 and I loved the story line! This book is about a boy whose father runs a sushi shop. One day the father brings home a octopus but the boy knows that there is something different about the octopus than the other fishes. I'm not going to spoil it but it is a great read for youngsters! Loved it four stars ****

This was a sweet, heartwarming short story about a little kid that lives in a sushi shop. The shop has a big fish tank, and the kid does not like that they became food. One day, after meeting his first octopus--which is destined to become high quality food for an important client--he decides that he cannot longer let their friend become sushi. After all, his grandmother had teach him to love everything.
