This is my second book by Nissenson (Covet being the first) and I was quite happy to continue my journey with the royal gorgeousnesses, Ian and Tessa.
If Covet was foreplay, then Crave was full-on seduction, with sex scenes so hot, the pages sizzled. All done without a whip or butt plug in sight. I was pleased. I swear I've never taken as many cold baths as while reading this book. By the 20th smex scene however, even I had had enough and was eager to have the story move along swiftly.
Except, it didn't.
It was sex, love, repeat. 467 kindle pages of no more than sex, love, repeat. There were no surprises, no complexity, no angst. Ian loves Tessa and vice versa. 467 pages of sex, love, repeat. No character developments, no story arc. Just sex, love, repeat. (Should I stop repeating that?) Well, now you know how I felt.
Eventually, I started skimming, wanting nothing more than for it to be over and done with. Still, mad props to Nissenson for her impeccable writing and the adorable MCs.
Though I’ll have my work cut out for me keeping up with you, my sweet. Extra workouts, more vitamins, increasing my intake of protein. I’ll need to do all of that and more in order to have enough energy to keep you satisfied.

Joanna knew the pearls were real, recognized the shoes as Prada, and was fairly certain the dress was from Dolce & Gabbana’s spring collection.
Sometimes I wonder if it’s too much, if we love each other too much. I worry that the way we feel about each other - that it’s not - well, healthy.”
