When Kim moved to New York City after a bad breakup, love was the last thing on her mind. But after six months, she was ready to try again. The only thing she had to do was find a guy to fit her very singular tastes.
When Cash bought his grandfather's old brownstone, the last thing he expected to find was the girl of his dreams next door. Kim was sweet, feisty, and sexy as hell; everything he could ask for in a woman. Only, she wasn't like other women.
Their attraction was electric. The passion undeniable.
There was only one question left; can a kinky girl find true love with the guy next door?
Modern Girl's Guide to Kink is a fun, light look at kink. It is part of a series but can be read as a standalone contemporary romance with no cliffhangers and a guaranteed happily-ever-after.
I would wager that this is the best of the Modern Girl's Guide books. Kim and Cash are fantastic and it was great to read a book where the girl is kinky rather than the guy trying to convince/guilt someone into acts that they aren't into. I'm already looking forward to the next book!!!
While I loved all of the other Modern Girl's Guide books, this one wasn't my favorite. It was good and I enjoyed Kim's story but didn't connect as much with it. The characters were fun and the story was good but there were quite a few grammatical errors throughout the book that irked me. I can forgive them for the most part but I felt like they distracted from the story a bit because I constantly stopped at each one. This story can definitely be read as a standalone but I liked that Drayer had other characters from the series pop up here and there. Overall, I liked the story but didn't love it as much as I had hoped I would.
Loved this story! It kind of reminded me of Ana and Christian with roles reversed LOL. I loved that Cash was so taken with Kim that he was willing to try what she craved. Kim was scared about being in a relationship with someone who was vanilla. She didn't know if a relationship could work if he couldn't give her what she needed. This story was a great story about communicating with your partner about your needs. You won't know what someone is willing to try and do for you, unless you ask. The fear of rejection is tough, but the ability to find a true love is so worth it. I loved Kim and Cash's journey. This was another great book in this series.
I for the most part enjoyed this book. I did have a few little issues but not much. I felt like some of the story kinda dragged on. I was waiting for something exciting to happen and it never really did. I also felt Kim was too standoffish and took a little too long to come around. And I wish the epilogue was longer or farther ahead in the further. I wanted to know more. Lol I did however love Cash. He was just an all around sweet genuine guy. All in all I did like the concept and over all story.
Awesome book. Loved every minute of reading it. couldn't put it down. Great story, great characters. this was by far my favorite book of the whole series. definitely recommending
Okay, how adorable is Cash? He was like the perfect gentleman and demanding when he wanted something. The perfect combination of opposites attracting. Very lovely story and have just loved all of the Modern Girl stories.
