An angry, manipulative demon is still after Jason, Samantha is a bit unhinged after Sam’s girlfriend didn’t make it out of the last mission, and someone calling herself Tabitha just introduced herself to Sam – out of Samantha’s mouth. They’re losing their grip on the situation, and things are quickly unraveling. It’s looking like they may lose the life they’ve built for themselves, and that’s before Jason disappears. When Sam and Samantha finally come to terms with everything that’s happened, they’re going to discover they’re capable of things they’d never imagined. More importantly, the demonic world is going to have hell to pay.
Demons. So many demons doing bad, demonic things. When Samantha is possessed by one, it takes time and planning to get away clean. But the increase in power and skills has made both the boys into valuable targets, with very unpleasant results.
The last book of the Origins arc ( pretty much one stream-of-consciousness megastory) continues to be dark, gritty, brutal, intense, all the gut-punching emotions you can imagine.
There is a fantastic journey to obtain an epic blade, levels of destruction that only the angry bereaved can achieve, and the discovery of just how close to the most powerful people ever to walk the earth the gang are becoming.
It's angry, sad, empowering and redeeming. Go read it for yourself.
If I had to choose just one author from Fantasy it would be Sam and Sam. This series is absolutely THE BEST. No spoilers but I was totally into the story so much that I’d left this earthly plane. It’s that captivating. The already solid characters go from strength to strength. You feel their pain but also their joy.
Roll on the next book by Chloe because she is is a class of her own.
Wow, this book really nailed it. I love Jason but I fell back in love with Sam. There are so many twists and turns and you just have to keep reading to find out what happens next.
I think this book is another "slam dunk" for Chloe Garner. I enjoyed the whole series! There is sooo much going on in this book! I loved every minute of it all. * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*
