This book feels way outdated to begin with. It did have a lot of good advice and tips that I think I can use when starting my journey but the majority of the book was like listening to your grandpa talk. I love my grandpa but I was looking for more than stories and this book was a bit of a letdown. I honestly think it has some good stuff but it is outnumbered by the stories and random opinions.

In this book it talks about how to start with nearly no money in your pocket and how to grow that money. it starts off with the basics, it starts with how to look for the right house to invest in. Once you get more into the book it teaches you how to invest and how to make big profit off buying and selling houses. One of the most important things in this book is buying "ugly duckling" houses. An ugly duckling house is a house that doesn't look that nice but once you fix it up you can make nice profit off it. Also one important key is not to act desperate when buying, that way you have a bigger chance of loosing profit. One of my favorite quotes from this book was "let the professionals do it, and you'll sleep much better". this quote is explaining that you can use help in this business. usually people just starting off don't know much, therefore if you let professionals do it you will have less stress on you and worry less. this book is about helping you and that quote will help you a lot. Another quote I enjoyed was " to begin with, I talk to the boss every morning in the shower". In this business you are the boss. This is explaining that you have total control on what your next move is. Being your own boss has big advantages.

If you are motivated and have a little bit of talent, this book will help you get started on your own real estate empire!!! The author really gives a down to earth approach to buying, fixing up, and renting properties.
