I read all 3 in this series consecutively. I could have given this another star but as the series progressed so did the errors. The editing is awful. I wish I could have taken a red pen to my kindle. It really spoiled my enjoyment of the stories.

A sensual and emotional conclusion in this series. I love the passion between Adrian and Miranda and their journey and forever love is finally realised. A passionate and satisfying journey had by all. This love story is best read after Miranda's Dilemma and A Most Demanding Mistress.

Love's Power!

This may be a short read, but it is loaded with emotions and suspense.

Adrian and Miranda are wed without all the pomp and circumstance, and with much trepidation for Miranda’s part. She wants to be Adrian’s wife, but feels suffocated by the disapproval that surrounds her. Adrian’s drastic mood swings are also a cause for concern for her. She suspects he’s hiding something from her.

It is mind boggling the measures taken and lengths gone to just to make someone suffer…and that someone is Miranda. Her father’s deep seeded hatred of her knows no limits. Even after Winterton is confronted by Adrian, he still attempts to move his scheming forward to make Miranda pay for simply being born. He’s not a stupid man though, and quickly drops out of site. Under the premise of working for his cousin and rebuilding his wealth, Adrian leaves his new Countess and travels to America intent on finding Winterton and calling him out.

Miranda is left in the care of the Earl of Ruel, along with Adrian’s youngest son, Davey. She knows that her former profession makes her unacceptable to the genteel crowd and Adrian’s ever increasing absence feels like a death sentence to her, especially with the cut from Davey’s older brother, Brentwood. (That kid needed a good smack in the mouth!)

A change in the family dynamics of the Earl’s household lead Miranda and Davey to return to her home. This doesn’t last long though, as Adrian does find the Duke of Winterton in America, with disastrous results, and Miranda and Davey are rushed into hiding…by Baron Drake. (STILL a huge Drake fan!) Friendship with the kind Lady Drake will have future repercussions Miranda never imagined, but Miranda is glad to have someone to confide in who listens, and doesn’t judge her.

Letters from Adrian get farther and farther apart for Miranda, and the cryptic messages she receives about his wellbeing are driving her to distraction. Jon finally vows to go to America and bring Adrian home, but Adrian shows up, a shadow of his former self…and a wanted man.

Miranda will do whatever it takes to save her husband, which brings her back into the presence of Heathford, a character as vile as Winterton. It’s no wonder the two men were close friends. It’s here also that it’s learned that despite her gender and her blood relation to Miranda, Cassandra is as evil and depraved as the two men. I suppose at some point I was supposed to feel some sort of sympathy for Cassandra…nope. Regardless of the affluence and influence of Winterton and Heathford, Cassandra is the one responsible for the direction young Miranda’s life took. I wish her much pain and suffering.

However, Miranda has the last laugh, much to Heathford’s chagrin.

The plot twists here are fantastic, and character development is on point. The author has created dislikable characters that you come to love and cheer for, and equally despicable characters that you want someone…anyone to put a bullet in! I’ve read and enjoyed other books by this author, but this series is definitely my favorite.

Sacrifice is a powerful and satisfying end to the Fashionably Impure series. Adrian and Miranda had a long, arduous journey that threatened to end them more than once. But as always, love helped them to chip away the facades they hid behind, and lead them to be the two people they were probably, in fact, intended to be from the beginning.

I highly recommend this series, and you WANT to read it!

Enjoy!

Sizzling and Emotional

Sacrifice is an emotional conclusion to the tempestuous romance between the courtesan Miranda and the aristocratic Adrian which began in Miranda's Dilemma and continued in A Most Demanding Mistress click on the titles for review. Please note, if you have not read these books this review, whilst I have taken great care not to reveal the plot, does contain spoilers.
I loved how, to protect the woman he loves Adrian flies in the face of propriety and weds Miranda, who has hitherto led the life of a courtesan. He not only risks his standing as an Earl but he makes his impoverished position even more precarious. Yet this is not enough and he must go to extraordinary lengths to protect Miranda, at great risk to himself and their future as man and wife. That the couple love each other passionately is not in question, yet will it be enough for them to survive the trials and tribulations that come their way? This is an emotional and rollercoaster read.
The dynamics of their relationship are challenging. Once again Adrian needs to reconcile his need to possess and own Miranda with his distaste of her former profession. Miranda too must make her own sacrifice, facing up to demons from her past. Will their respective sacrifices be enough to secure a HEA for them? The couple’s relationship is intense and is anything but plain-sailing. A number of times in the book I was frustrated by the actions of both Adrian and Miranda and the situation they found themselves in. Both are proud and stubborn individuals with their own scarred pasts and they must learn to trust each other.
The book is a scorching read - the author writes deliciously sensual and erotic love-making scenes, her descriptive powers reflecting the love, passion and emotion this couple hold in their heart for one another. Please note that a copy of this book was given to me by the author for the purpose of  fair and honest review.

Adrian is deeply in love with Miranda, His love goes so deep he cant live without her. Adrian is so in love with her he needs/wants her to become his wife. desperate to keep her safe and in his life he is willing to do anything no matter the cost to him/them.

Miranda loves Adrian, in fact she loves him just as much as he loves her and she is willing to give up everything she has worked for to become his wife, even if it means having no money and the life style she has become used to.

Miranda and Adrian have been through loads in there past and the only way to get over it is in each others arms. They have become so close they help each other and confide all there torments and history. But for a while it looks like there not going to get there happy ending as their love is put to the test once more.

Will the pair do what ever it takes to have there happy .

Another great read by Natasha Blackthorn. the third instalment in the Fashionably Impure series. I do advise you to read the other two books before attempting to read this one as you may miss some important information. As iv stated in most of my reviews for Natasha's books you can not be timid to read them as they have some very steamy and sexual scenes. But the book is beautifully written and I found it really hard to put down once I started reading. I love both of the main characters and from book one to three I got to learn so much about them and I was able to watch them grow. If you have not read this series then please give it a try I can promise that you wont be disappointed and if you find you like this series then Natasha has some other equally amazing stories for you to try out.

Sacrifice by Natasha Blackthorne is #3 in the seductive "Fashionably Impure" Trilogy. While, it can be read as a stand alone, I'd highly recommend reading, "Miranda's Dilemma" and "A Most Demanding Mistress" prior to reading this one, as Miranda Jones and Adrian Sutherland, the Earl of Danvers' story continues. This is Miranda, Adrian, Adrian's two sons, Brentwood and Davey, and their explosive conclusion in "Fashionably Impure" Trilogy. What an explosive, and frank conclusion!

Well written with well-developed characters and an intriguing storyline. Follow this courtesan, Miranda and her protector, Adrian, as they try to find their HEA.

Filled with sacrifice, danger, sensual tension, family betrayal, passion, secrets, challenges, dilemmas and romance amongst misgivings and finally finding love, healing and acceptance. What a contrary and dark romance! Brilliantly written and executed!

I enjoy the way, Ms. Blackthorne, never fails to amaze me with her emotionally charged tales, with more than the sensual aspect of her stories, but with all that life throws at the characters and they still manage a HEA. Magnificent storytelling and a romp through the English countryside.

Some readers may find some subjects displeasing, and distasteful, however, it is needed to further understand Miranda's childhood and what shaped your life into the person she has become today.

Ms. Blackthorne never disappoints me!

BE ADVISED: "This story contains frank sexual language and general bedchamber naughtiness. Abuse issues are alluded to in the backstory".

This is part of a continuing story ,so the books must be read in order.
Adrian Sutherland , The Earl of Danvers has proposed marriage to his mistress. As soon as they are safely wed he will travel to America to kill her father. Its the only way to keep her safe.
Miranda Jones finds herself married and then left behind to deal with her husband's family and the scandal their marriage caused, while he is away learning about the ship building business.
Will they ever be able to put the past truly behind them, or will others be forever throwing it in their faces? .
A strictly for adults historical romance. Lots of HOT sex scenes and some difficult emotional ones.
A very entertain read as long as you read all the books in order.

Final installment in the story between Adrian and Miranda. The emotional intensity of their relationship continues with lots of erotic passion. Their difficult pasts continue to influence them separately and together. The obsessive love between them continues, but forces are at work to keep them apart. I was eager to see how the conclusion to their passionate love story would play out. Natasha Blackthorne writes a poignant tale of powerful proportions in this trilogy. I definitely felt how profoundly these two felt about each other and the extraordinary love story stayed with my after the last page was turned.
