Baring It All

Rate this book
By day, Jess Simpson is a grad student in biomedical engineering. At night, she's exotic dancer Jade. She's always managed to keep her two worlds from colliding — until the night hunky lab partner Scott Maxwell shows up at the club.

Note: Jess is the identical twin sister of Jenn Simpson, Sliding into Home's heroine. This free short story is intended to give readers a peek into her life. She may or may not get a full-length novel of her own.

Arlene Hittle is a Midwestern transplant who now makes her home in northern Arizona. She suffers from the well-documented Hittle family curse of being a Cubs fan but will root for the Diamondbacks until they run up against the Cubs. Longtime friends are amazed she writes books with sports in them, since she’s about as coordinated as a newborn giraffe and used to say marching band required more exertion than golf. A total letdown. It was great, building up to the point where the two college lab partners got it on. He stopped her in the end, saying he wanted to wait when she wasn't stripping nad he wasn't a little drunk. That was the end. what a shitty ending I had a couple other of her books. I already deleted them, no use wasting my time if that is her way of ending stories.

This quick free read on Amazon is precisely what it is intend to be, a free taste of a possible future full length story from the pen of Arlene Hittle. This tidbit is a story, in which Jess Simpson is an unassuming biomedical engineering graduate student during the day, but who at night turns into a hot exotic dancer by the name of Jade. When you add in her hot hunk of guy labor partner finding out about out her other side makes is sure to make for some interesting sexual interludes in bed.

But if this wasn’t enough, with Jess having an identical twin sister, by the name of Jenn, who happens to be married to a rich baseball player there’s room for far more possibilities, and if this is an example of what might be forthcoming, I would definitely love to read more of, which is why I’ve given this teaser 5 STARS.

Gem of a Short

I've enjoyed all of Arlene Hittle's witty romances, and after reading Sliding Into Home, I was anxious to read Jade's story. I wasn't disappointed--except it was much too short! I would love to see this enticing teaser included in a full length novel someday, but until then, I'm looking forward to the next one in the Love and Baseball series, Stealing the Southpaw.
