Jackson Portland is a young self made billionaire and college drop out, to spite college not being for him , Jackson finds himself at an Ivy League college as an invited professor for a economics class.
Why return twosome place that did not suit him, well he feels he has something to offer, insight into business start up, failure and success.
Lana Hartland, driven student with a plan , finish her masters move on to her PH.D. And this Econ class is a required class for her. However being the daughter of two college professors she finds Jackson lacking to spite his notoriety ; Lana can not hold heron thoughts back and ones right and tells him so , Nota good way to start a semester off with a professor holding your grades and Masters in his hand . Unwitting she draws Jackson's attention, but Lana can not figure out why she finds herself do attracted to this pops full of himself man, of course he is handsome but his domineering attitude does not normally appeal to her.
What Jackson sees in Lana, that she does not ;she is a natural submissive, and to spite her sassy mouth he can't wait to teach her.
Ms May has written their story in daul POV of view so you get both perspectives and some intresting flash backs for Jackson that reveal the origin of his dominance , and possibly the reason that amongst all the coeds swooning over him, Lana with her sassy attitude is more of an attraction.
All in all, Ms May has written a quick, sexy read with a little Bdsm, D/S play. I enjoyed the story and from the way it ended I am hopeful for a sequel. No it is not a true cliffy but their is definitely room for more storyline!
Arc was Graciuosly supplied by Ms May for an honest review.

I have reviewed many of Linnea May's books and this one is another truly well written gem. Her writing is always excellent both with the ways she handles the dark, steamy material and the fully three dimensional characters contained within each story. Lana and Jackson are friends that I truly care about at the conclusion of the story. I want to know so much more and hope that we get further information on them later on. With each book that Ms. May delivers into the hands of her waiting fans, the increase of demand steps up further and further. You make your readers' truly happy with each volume that you publish. Please give us more on this incredible pair of lovers.

I don't leave synopsis of the book, as the author's blurb does a much better job then I ever could, nor do I leave spoilers as I feel this does an injustice to subsequent readers. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I normally don't enjoy Student/Teacher books but this one was different and it definitely hit all the things I enjoy in a book. Of course, I may be prejudiced since I have loved every book I have read by this author. Lana is your typical overachiever who toes the line to always be the perfect student and daughter. Her life is all set or at least what her life is expected to be as dictated by her parents and sister. Enter Jackson Portland who is a writer who has been asked to guest lecture a semester at the college Lana attends. As luck would have it, this is the final class Lana needs to graduate but the problem is that Jackson's class and interactions do not follow the type of Professor she is used to. Being the dutiful student who always follows rules has unknowingly puts Lana in a situation where she falls under Jackson's sexual spell. That influence and control turned out to be a good change for both and we see how they both change for what I think is the better through their interactions. I was quick to become hooked on not only their story but all aspects of their relationship and the sex scenes were definitely a bonus to read.

Now that's a student teacher romance!

This was my first Linnea May book, and won't be my last. I've bought other books with plans to read them since they had such high ratings, and now I understand why. This was was excellent! One of my favorite taboo story types is student teacher, and stories like this one are why they are.

This story focuses on Lana and Jackson. They meet in class, coming from different backgrounds, but all it takes is a few impudent comments from Lana to start the collision that begins to happen between these two. Lana is a grad student who has little passion and backbone, and was a little weak/childish at first. However, as time went on, she grows up and finds what is important to her. Jackson comes from the business world, determined to help his students in some small way, with a calm and dominating demeanor that he brings wherever he goes. He loves his BDSM, and is very much formed by his childhood experiences, used to breaking people. As the two interact, they develop a connection whose heat slowly builds with time, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the two fall for one another and change their expectations.

Overall, I highly recommend this book, especially if you love student teacher stories, and ones with a little kink in them. This is a great addition of how it should be done between two adults. There is growth in the main characters, not too many secondary characters, and a lot happening as the two meet more and more. It's a good plot, written and edited well, with few grammar errors, and I enjoyed seeing another take on this type of romance.

I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary review of the book. I also bought the book because I loved it so much.

MASTER CLASS is a billionaire romance about a Masters student and her famous billionaire class advisor. The hot instructor Jackson Portland unleashed her passions and encouraged Lana to carve her own future, and not that which was expected of her by her family. This book utterly romantic with some kinky sexy times. But more than that, Master Class was amazing, exciting, and intelligently written. It had some really quotable insights on the essence of success. Overall, a refreshingly delightful read!

I have read an advanced copy of this book and this is a fair and honest review and recommendation voluntarily shared.

Absolutely loved this one...I first thought maybe a bit of a taboo subject and I was a little concerned but author Linnea may told the story in such a way that I/ loved the characters and the plot and did not feel uncomfortable at all.

Jackson Portland self made millionaire shows up as a guest Lecturer at the Ivy League College Lana Harlington attends. They start off on the wrong foot but as the story progresses they find each other and so much more. Both characters are fun, and sexy on their own but together the chemistry is off the charts.

This is a well written book, with a HEA if you are looking for something with a little bit of education, making different choices, taking chances and finding love...grab this book it will meet all those needs and more.!!

I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book for Rockstar Book Muse

I am still iffy on if I really liked this book or not there were parts that I thought were good and there were parts that I thought were too much. Jackson and Lana start off in an odd dynamic with him being an instructor for a class she needs to graduate Jackson see's her and decides he need to break her, I had a hard time with this the domination and breaking of a person is not really something I enjoy reading about the first half of the book was about him wanting to punish her I skimmed a lot of it to be honest. I did like how he helped her find her goals and how he supported her making a choice that made her happy and in the end, they worked out and he wanted to flourish instead of break but the first half of the book just did not sit well with me I understand where his need came from but it is just not my cup of tea.

The plot is thin in this book but I really did like how he helped her and how she realized she could do what she wanted and I am a sucker for someone finding who they are and I liked that Jackson supported her and cared.

Review:
“He gets up from his chair and slowly walks around the desk. With every step that brings him closer to me, I can feel my heart leaping like a wild stag in my throat.”

5 head of the class stars!! Student teacher relationship never looked hotter!

Jackson is a self made billionaire and he’s been asked to teach a class to a bunch of graduate students. Pretty easy right?? Sure, but he’s a college dropout and there’s a hot little student that keeps him distracted. Lana is bored with her degree, and quite frankly knows she wants to do something else with it. But she’s sucking it up and going to class, but she’s convinced this college dropout doesn’t have any information she needs. During a storm one night they both find themselves in his office and yeah you can guess where it goes from there. And their relationship takes off from there.

This book is H-O-T!!!! Jackson is a cocky jerk, but he knows he can be because he has Lana falling at his feet. Lana, I love because she knows where to assert her dominance and where not too. I was pleasantly surprised by this book!! I’ll be reading more from Linnea in the future!!

Thanks to Linnea for the opportunity to read and review for you.

The blurb of this book has me more than a little excited to read it, so when I got the time I jumped in. Sadly I have finished and am feeling a little ripped off. I’m not sure what the problem is/was but it seemed to move slowly but in a good way, then I feel like I missed a portion of the story, then it ran ahead to the ending... so that is my ho hum moment. Taken from both Lana and Jackson’s POV, we get an insight into both main characters.

The storyline itself was good, but I truly hated main character, Jackson Portland. He was a bastard from the very beginning towards Lana Harlington but I’m guessing that part of his “charm”. As a child that was picked on at school for being dumb and fat, now Mr Portland runs a successful company, and a self made billionaire with a dominant streak.

At 1st sight of Lana, Jackson decides he wants her, and nothing will stop it. For college driven Lana, this guest lecturer means nothing. He has no right to be teaching her class and she makes it very obvious her dislike for him, while ignoring the underlying feelings he invokes in her. It isn’t long until she gives into this man body and soul despite her brain telling her something different.

Despite the sexual relationship they enter into, the ability to teach Lana out of the auditorium everything else in life opens up a new world to her both sexually and career. The annoying Jackson Portland, becomes a man she cannot live without in so many ways.

➜ hero - Jackson is a tall, gorgeous man with mesmerizing green eyes and a strong stubbled jaw. And a self made gazillionaire. He was also the required credit that Lana needed to complete her masters degree this semester. Jackson arrives at the lecture hall to find it near to bursting with women bursting to get his attention. He is so tired of all the fawning. The only woman who interests him is the one who isn't enthralled with him teaching the class.

➜ heroine - Lana sits on the first day of Intro to Entrepreneurship, she is sassy and speak her mind. Jackson is definitely interested in her and she doesn't realize what she's in for. Lana Harrington, a good girl to question him on his way of teaching. Lana needs this credit to graduate so she can follow in her parents footsteps and become a professor. She didn't expect to be affected by her sexy teacher like all the giggling females in her class, but he makes her second guess the path her life is going.

➜ overall review - A good sensual book with a touch of taboo and kink to raise your pulse with his/her POV, no cliffhanger and a great HEA. It's a good plot, written and edited well, with few grammar errors, and I enjoyed seeing another take on this type of romance. The story could have done with more character development and a bit more drama. A good read.

➜ smut - 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

📍 No cheating, no OW drama

This was just okay.
I mean the writing was fine. Good dialogue. Moderately steamy.
I wasn't a huge fan of the heroine (I just finished the book and I've already forgotten her name) mostly because snotty people make me want to rip my own ears off rather than listen to them speak. Within the first couple pages of chapter one I was already annoyed by her. I did feel a smidge more affable towards her by the end, but just a smidge.
Jackson confused me a bit. I often felt that his internal dialogue made him seem to be quite dark and gruff, but he didn't come across that way with his snotty chica at all.
This was super fluffy. Basically no angst. Those flashback chapters made me think some angst was coming, but alas, I got none 🙄

When I first saw the cover of this book, I liked it so much that I downloaded it without reading the blurb. Even though I liked the promise of the title I wasn't sure what I was going to read. But I was pleasantly surprised with the story and the writing. I really loved it.

Lana Hamlington is a Master student in an Ivy League College. She's pursuing a career in Sociology following in her mother's path. Both her parents are professors and her older sister is a PhD student. So growing up in a scholars family she felt obligated to follow the same direction as her parents.
When she was a teen, she and her best friend made a promise to be independent and follow the career that they wanted and not become copies of their parents.
While her best friend made her promise reality and studied arts against the wish of her parents, Lana never took the courage to live her dream and do what she wanted.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Jackson Portland , a self-made young billionaire, was invited by Lana's master program to lecture an Econ class for one semester, giving entrepreneurship advises.
Jackson was raised poor, with an addicted mother who never cared for him and a father that abandoned them. He was always bullied by other kids because of his appearance and poverty. His situation drove him to do better and achieve success. He first went to community college, but dropped deciding to pursue his business dreams outside the school environment after a good professor advice. So he built a successful app, sold it and built a fortune. Now he's trying to help other young people follow their talent and make their dreams reality. He took the offer to give "unconventional" classes once a week for 1 semester as a challenge to at least reach one student with his story/words and help him/her pursue their dream and reach it.

Never would have he known that the student whose life was going to be changed by him would become his future wife.

I really loved this story. It starts with Lana dissing Jackson for not being a real professor and for not finishing his graduate studies.
Some might hate her for that, but she was a nice heroine and of course the "hating" on him was because he had achieved what she never had the courage to achieve. In reality that "hate" is hidden admiration and attraction.

Jackson is the perfect alpha. Dominating, hot, successful, rich and with a fragile side. I really loved the contrast. He was looking for that affection and acceptance that he never had as teenager and he will find it in Lana. I loved that the writer gave flashbacks from his childhood and what he went through.

This was my first read from this writer, so I was really pleased with her writing. For sure I'm going to check more of her books.

I recommend this one if you love student-teacher romance/billionaire-simple girl, an alpha hero and a sassy heroine, whose appearance resemblances Anna Steele.

Lana is in her final year of graduate school at an Ivy League university, working towards her Master’s in Sociology. In order to graduate, she has to take a class related to her Minor in Economics. The class is being taught by a guest lecturer slash successful billionaire Jackson Portland. Considering he’s not actually a professor, Lana finds him to be sorely lacking in his skills as a teacher and isn’t afraid to let him know it. Too bad her defiance only turns him on.

The plot is unique for a teacher-student romance because there isn’t much risk if Lana and Jackson are caught together since he’s only a guest lecturer. Still, they try to keep it under wraps for the sake of their reputations. The real conflict of the story focuses more on Lana’s confusion about where she stands with Jackson and a later perceived betrayal concerning a project Jackson is mentoring Lana on. Characterizations of secondary characters weren't realistic, particularly the other females in Jackson’s class. They behaved like immature, jealous high schoolers rather than grad students. Maybe some chicks fall into that stereotype, but every girl other than Lana was portrayed as such and it got old, fast.

The plot was steady and I enjoyed it, but I had a problem with the story: I didn’t like the characters. Lana was self-righteous and stuck-up, but the moment she starts sleeping with Jackson that behavior magically goes away thanks to good sex. Jackson was a typical guy that wanted to dominate a pretty little student, until I learned his backstory and true intentions. His entire attraction to Lana is explained through a few flashback chapters as a kid.
*Spoilers*
Jackson was bullied as a kid, but a sweet, smart, beautiful classmate named Aileen was the light of his days. Until one day he embarrasses her and she dismisses him just like the rest of his peers. After that he becomes determined to make more of himself, lose weight, become successful. That way once he does he’ll have the power to degrade and humiliate girls that remind him of Aileen, just like she made him feel. Lucky Lana just happens to be the perfect substitute for him to ‘teach a lesson to’. And he does a wonderful job of it, the entire time demanding Lana stop playing games when she asks him to give her time and stay away. All the while he’s literally playing a game of ‘How to Punish Girls That Remind Me of Aileen’. After all of that came to light- to the reader, Lana never learns this- their relationship became extra unhealthy and unbalanced. I couldn’t stop thinking that maybe he should see a therapist instead of obsessing over petite brunettes with dark blue eyes.

Jackson never really talks to Lana about his desire to embarrass and humiliate her beyond telling her that she needs to be punished. And once he starts giving her orgasms, of course she accepts this and they live HEA. Because we all know that the best way to resolve conflicts in our relationships is with plenty of orgasms and a heaping side of neurosis.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 Stars. This book really hooked me in the beginning. It had a beautiful tension that had my toes dancing for the first half. Then for some reason after the hotel encounter, the tension just died. It no longer escalated. Sure she had a project to work on but the relationships just seemed flat in a way that was disappointing. And the Epilogue was just okay. But I loved, loved, loved, the set up and the story leading all the way to their "let me make it up to you/hotel" encounter.

The book took longer to finish that it did to begin and that seemed partly due the feeling that everything that was being set up didn't have a payoff. Jackson's encounters with other women didn't really lead anywhere which almost made me think what was the point (Ms. Crew, for instance). Lana's relationship with her family, was mentioned a lot but, again, no real payoff. I feel like there could have been more to the sister dinner scene to propel things on a deeper level. there were just too many scenes that didn't seem to have any other purpose than giving me information stead of characters pursuing something and struggling, then recalculating their plan.

The struggles (internal, external, and interpersonal) just weren't intertwined well. It seemed like the main struggle was interpersonal (relationships) which resolved for the most part once they had sex, and the family struggle just disappeared. which left the internal struggle, which Jackson's wasn't enough to carry the novel, and Lana's wasn't present enough on it's own because it was dependent on her connection to other people. In the end her "transformation" didn't seem hard won. The end was too easy. Again, no escalation of tension.

The flashbacks weren't essential, they just provided some interesting information but I could have easily skipped over them, which was the beginning of the deflating of the story for me. I tend to like my flashbacks in context to something the character is doing in the present if they're just going to deepen information that's already been given.

All in all, I enjoyed it. I will definitely be reading other works by Linnea May. I'm studying creative writing on my own time at the moment so that's where the nitpicky observations are coming from. But the first half of this books is a master class in riveting writing.

've stopped being surprised by Linnea May! Okay, well I thought I had until I started reading this book by her. Linnea has penned such a wonderful storyline in Master Class that I had to read it right through and I was lucky enough not to be stopped! Lana is a PhD student and her new Economics Professor for only one term is a college drop out himself and they encounter each other at the first lecture. She is the nerdy like student that is there to learn unlike most of the females that suddenly appear in the class for the first time who aren't listening to him , just batting their eyelashes instead ;) Jackson is intrigued by her as she won't back down and keeps pushing for more and more answers. This unlikely pair have sizzling air between them that keeps increasing the more they are together. Eventually he wants way more than a student/teacher relationship with her and she submits to the inevitable. There is some BDSM in here but their story is so erotic with their lust and passion for one another being so strong and will love filter into the equation? Naturally there are some misunderstandings and the grip that her parents have on her is holding her back to be the woman she wants and needs to be. Will Jackson break through these "walls" and heal her? And will past circumstances mean that he can trust to have his own HEA? Wonderfully written with such zest for life and their hopes for their future. I'm now looking forward to Linnea's next book and I won't be surprised when it's even better again :) I received an arc of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here.

Lecturing His Submissive💋💃

Lana💋💃 is a dedicated college student, but she is studying to be what her parents want her to be. She is a good student but her spirit is somewhat broken. She gets lost in the details, because she can't overcome the big thing, which is her parents.
Along comes wealthy entrepreneur Jackson Portland🐺🍌🌋💪 to guest teach Applied Economics, the last class Lana💋💃 needs to graduate. The campus is a buzz with the news because Jackson🐺🍌🌋💪 is not only a self made Billionaire, he's extremely buff💪,good looking🐺 and single. YEHAW!
Jackson🐺🍌🌋💪 isn't all he seems, he's got a rather jaded outlook on the lecture class of about 200 students. He figures there is probably only one student in there that is actually worth his time and effort.
When Lana💋💃 starts to right away give him a hard time for the way he's going to teach the class, with no tests and no grades, he becomes laser focused on her. She needs the credit for the class to graduate! She is laser focused on that!
Jackson🐺🍌🌋💪 is a Dominant✋, he wants to punish her for being so argumentative. He also thinks she may be the submissive💋 he needs to train and the one person in the class that can become a real entrepreneur like him.
It's going to be a tough go for both of then, Lana💋💃 isn't going to let go of Her old ideas easily.
YEHAW! Ride em Bareback🍌, Cowgirl!🐎🐎🐎🐎

There are only a couple of xxx scenes in the book, but the dynamic relationship between Jackson🐺🍌🌋💪✋ and Lana💋💃 will keep you reading! There are also excerpts from Tamed, another book by the author.

So funny story. I'm constantly on forums and everytime I see a 'what are you reading' there's usually like 30 people who are reading ARCs. So here I am..an avid reader wondering how in the world I get my hands on one of these? And as if fate heard me, I got an email advertising ARCs for this book.

I didn't know what the book was about. I just signed myself up for it because no matter what I would give an honest review.

So what should you know about this book? Student/Mentor. Dominance themed.

What I liked about this book. I know this is weird to like, but it was the perfect length. It wasn't too long, but it wasn't short. I didn't get sick of back and forths (because you know we've ALL read those books). I liked that even though there was a dominance theme there was a dividing line and on that other side there was support for independence. There's no cliff hanger and I thought the ending was cute.

What I didn't like this book. The 'slut' word was dropped. WHY?! Sex is not dirty. There is nothing WRONG about it. Slut is so negative. You can dominate without being demeaning. UGH.

I really enjoyed the book and would gladly pick up another by the author. I would even read a book where Jackson and Lana were revisited.

So if you're debating on whether to one-click this. I would definitely tell you it's a safe bet if what I mentioned in the 'what you should know about this book' is up your alley.

This book contained some situations that were very triggering to me. It pushed me to places I don't willingly go but it was done with such skill that I went there almost without realizing I had. And I can't fault the book for my own baggage. It was very easy for me to connect with the geeky social misfit that Lana is most of the time. It took a lot more effort for me to warm up to Jackson, especially after discovering why Lana is exactly the type of woman he likes best. I also wasn't a fan of some of his punishments. Humiliation is at the far "off" end of my spectrum of turn ons and that scene made my shoulders tense up to my ears. But my visceral reaction tells me just how amazing a job the author has done to connect me to the story and the characters. I wanted to yell at Jackson and cuddle Lana close telling her that everything will be all right. As uncomfortable as it made me, I consider it a complete win when a story can drag me below the emotional undertow that deeply. It made me react, then it made me think. It brought me face to face with some of my own demons that I would have happily avoided like the plague. By experiencing the situation from Lana's perspective, I have found an unexpected moment of peace.

I voluntarily read an arc of this book for a fair and honest review.

Jackson has been asked to teach a course at the local university. He doesn't seem himself as a scholar so some of the rules that are expected of an instructor bother him and he doesn't feel he needs to follow. Lana is a student in his class and she is one of those goody two shoes who at the beginning starts off looking down at Jackson because he isn't a scholar.

There was many things I liked about this book but there were also things I didn't. At first, I couldn't stand Lana. She came across so harsh and snobbish. I can't imagine any instructor dealing well with the words and accusations she threw out. However, I did like Jackson in the beginning. I liked that he thought outside of the box and he challenged her in her narrow way of thinking.

Towards the middle of the book, my likes and dislikes started to switch. I felt so bad for Lana as she was trying to come to gripes with what had happened between her and Jackson, while I got the impression Lana was just a substitute for Jackson's anger from when he was younger.

I am glad that they were able to talk it out and meet in the middle and begin a life together both professionally and personally!!

“Master Class” was a thoroughly engaging read that captured my attention from the prologue to the very last page. Linnea May has a talent for writing good books with plenty of chemistry between protagonist. I’ve read most (if not all) of her work at this point and always find myself totally entertained while waiting to see which direction the novel will take me. Why not five stars then? I had difficulty warming up to the male lead… I found him more arrogant than confident and for much of the story he walked a fine line between being egocentric and a passable dominant. Perhaps it was immaturity due to his age or perhaps it was just me. At times, I found his demeanor a bit stiff or formal and at other times he simply appeared completely egotistical. I found Lana to be an excellent female lead, one many will undoubtedly identify with. Although the read was relatively fast paced, it also dragged in places which I skimmed through (without missing much) indicating the novel might benefit from additional editing.

Even with my vacillating view of “Mr. Portland’s” character as well as the slightly irregular pace, I still found the story-line both original and riveting… what Linnea May does best.

3.5 Stars
Jackson Portland is a self made billionaire. His father abandoned his family and his mother was an alcoholic. To top it off, Jackson was overweight, poor, and a terrible student. The only thing he was good at, is math. That passion for mathematics, a mentor, and his struggles made him the man he is.
Lana Harlingtion comes from a family of scholars, her parents and her sister. It is expected of her to go to graduate from an Ivy League school with a doctorate. Anything else would be below her, according to her family that is. Lana's passion isn't in sociology or becoming a scholar. She liked coding and has many ideas. She just never embraced that passion, because she was afraid to take a risk.
When these two connect, there's an explosion. Jackson forces Lana to see acknowledge things about herself that she would prefer stayed buried. He challenges to do what she loves, even if her family doesn't agree. Lana doesn't fawn over Jackson like others. She brings out his insecurities and he wants to punish her for challenging him.
The forbidden affair leads to love and forces the characters to realize some hard truths about themselves.
I feel the book is a little slow paced, but it is an entertaining and sexy read.

His Good Girl

I loved this book from the first page!!! Jackson Portland is a self made billionaire that rose up from a broken home, poverty and bullying. Teaching is not his thing, but when asked to teach a semester at an ivy league school he accepts thinking if he can help one person it'll be a win. What he didn't expect is Lana Harrington, a good girl to question him on his way of teaching. Lana needs this credit to graduate so she can follow in her parents footsteps and become a professor. She didn't expect to be affected by her sexy teacher like all the giggling females in her class, but he makes her second guess the path her life is going. Jackson wants Lana in a way he has never wanted before but his adolescent insecurities work their way back into his mind and heart. With the sparks flying and Lana trying to forge a new life plan with Jacksons help, can this teacher / student let go of past hurts and insecurities to make a life plan together??? A great sensual book with a touch of taboo and kink to raise your pulse with his/her POV, no cliffhanger and a great HEA. This is a one click must read.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book
Thank you Linnea May

Sometimes life needs to be shook up and rearranged to be put on the right path.

Jackson Portland is a self made billionaire and was offered to teach a class in Introduction to Entrepreneurship. He is used to people especially females vying for his attention. Until one girl who challenges everything he says and does. This sparks his dominant side and he wants to put her in her place. She has become his new challenge he is going to get her to ease up but first needs she needs a good spanking.
Lana Hartland comes from a family of scholars both parents are highly respected professors. She is all about school, pleasing her parents and following in their footsteps.
She needs this class to graduate and isn't happy that its being taught by non professor she feels like it's not a real class. He pushes all her buttons and by the end of class she thinks he is full-of-himself and a douche-bag.
The slow building of their relationship was believable, sexy and taboo. I liked that we got to see a look into his past and what drove him to the person he became. Also the dynamics of her family. You will get hooked on Jackson and Lana's story from the first page till the last.

Five 🔥⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hot! This teacher-student romance is so incredibly HOT it will melt your kindle.
Jackson's early life was out of his control. Now as a successful billionaire he craves control; especially in the bedroom.
Lana is a good girl, in every aspect of her life. She's a diligent student who follows the rules and likes to please others.
In her final semester of school to earn her Masters, Lana needs her last Economics class. Jackson Portland is a successful businessman with an unconventional success story who is offered the opportunity to teach for a semester. Lana's teacher is Jackson Portland.

Their attraction is palpable! His alpha, dominant ways draw her in. And her sassy attitude and unassuming ways draw him to her. Jackson soon discovers that Lana's desires run towards the more submissive side, which is a perfect match for him. He wants to teach about pleasure and pain.
Jackson and Lana are perfect together. An unforgettable teacher-student romance with a great story and incredible chemistry.

Lana Harlington is a good girl. She is following her parents and sister into academia. But with Jackson Portland as a guest lecturer for a term, the definition of “good girl” will change. Lana challenges Jackson as much as he challenges her, academically, sexually, and in terms of her passion. There is a slight teacher-student taboo aspect and some mild BDSM. Jackson's dominance is clearly established and he has singled out Lana for punishment on day one. There is some tension knowing that Jackson has not forgotten her transgressions and wait impatiently for her punishment. It is a delicious wait, and the beginning of their secret relationship. I enjoyed the story, and Jackson's backstory, and his deliberate and difficult growth as a teenager. It takes Lana time to find her passion, Jackson gives her the freedom to do this, as a good teacher would. In all, this was a great romance read, not too dark but still had an edge to it.

I received an arc of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.

This was the first book I've read by Linnea May, and it won't be the last! I received this copy as an ARC for an honest review. The whole storyline was amazing. Lana is the college student who thinks she knows it all. She has life all figured out, even if it's not the life she wants for herself. Jackson is the self made billionaire, who had a horrible childhood, but refused to let the cruelty of others dictate his life. Instead, he used those feelings to become the man he is today. He's been asked to be a guest lecturer for a semester at an Ivy League school. From the very first class, Lana challenges Jackson which he finds intriguing. While he likes to dominate women, he finds that Lana isn't like other women he's known. Jackson had big plans to break her and change her. What he didn't count on, was Lana changing him too. I really enjoyed reading this story. There was never a part that I felt I wanted to rush through. The chemistry between Lana and Jackson was so intense! And the ending...you'll have to read it to find out, but it's definitely worth the read!

When Jackson is asked to teach a master's class about economics he isn't thrilled. A college drop out, turned self made millionaire, he isn't sure what he can teach them. That is until one student questions what he can teach the class and he knows that he needs to teach her a lesson in more ways than one.
Lana is about to finish her master's degree and will then fulfill her family's plan of getting her doctorate in order to enter a profession in academia. But Lana begins to question this plan when she meets Jackson Portland. Not only does Jackson push her to really think about her future, he teaches and helps her explore her about her inner desires.
Linnea May beautifully creates a a forbidden romance with light BDSM scenes. While aimed for mature audiences, it doesn't contain the heavier nature of her other BDSM books.
I received this book from the author at no cost to me and volunteered to read it; my review is my honest opinion and given without any influence by the author or publisher.
