Malik loves hating Logan… or hates loving Logan. Hell, even he doesn’t know.

Three years ago, Malik met the man of his dreams. Everything stopped for him, so his world could revolve around Logan. Eight months ago, Logan walked away, leaving Malik with one burning question—why?

No man on the planet has ever stolen Logan’s heart the way Malik has. As much as Malik claims he loves Logan, Logan knows the truth. He’ll always come second to Malik’s boxing career, but that’s not why Logan left. He has his reasons, and he can’t share them with Malik. But a love this real and strong, it won’t be denied.

When Malik finally learns the truth, he’ll stop at nothing to win back the man he’s barely surviving without. But even Malik doesn’t know if there are enough words of love to overcome the hatred he’s spewed these past months. When his friend, Ryan, steps in, determined to help, Malik reluctantly accepts. But will Ryan become the glue holding them together, or will he tear them apart?

An up-and-coming fighter, with a marriage on the mend, and a friend who wants in the middle in the most delicious ways… it’s a future Unknown.

So no surprise that Charity Parkerson is a guilty pleasure. While that being said I'm about a three star rating with her. But Malik, Logan and Ryan were amazing.

Logan and Malik have been together for three years and were married. VERY quickly. Malik is a boxer and Logan is working at a restaurant so they can make ends meet. But then one day, Malik comes home and Logan is gone. No explanation. Just gone. Now eight months later we are in the middle of that aftermath.

Neither man is happy. Logan refuses to talk to Malik about why he left and I think that's a big part of missing one star here. I KNOW how important communication is in a marriage. It's about compromise and talking through what ever life throws at you. I completely believe that is Logan would have just spoke up, he and Malik would not have been apart for those months. Buuuut, then we wouldn't have Ryan.

Ryan offers to train Malik into becoming a better boxer. He also kicks him into gear to fix his relationship with Logan. Ryan is definitely second guessing his feelings toward the men but ends up befriending both.

The relationship between the three of them progresses pretty seamlessly. I love how Ryan fills the little gaps that Logan and Malik cannot see. He sees a problem and finds the solution. He is their strength.

A great story if you're looking for a little bit of angst and a great happy ending.

This installment is actually why I started the series. And it was so worth reading the first two books to get here. While you can read them as standalones, I found the books more enjoyable going in having met one or more of the main characters in earlier books. It also makes the new nuggets of information you learn about the main characters from the previous installments even more interesting - such as why Sam was so against Ryan getting involved with Malik and Logan.

I think what I liked most about the polyamorous relationship that forms between Malik, Logan, and Ryan is that it wasn't easy. Ryan isn't treated as a bandaid or cure for Malik and Logan's marriage. Yes, his objectivity gives him the ability to identify marital issues and guide the guys toward a solution, but there is no "magic cock" that instantly fixes the marriage. Malik and Logan had to fix their relationship while figuring out how and if Ryan had a place within their marriage.

I really enjoyed this book, but there were a few problems for me. That is what made me remove a star from the rating. These two men were so in love, but they didn't communicate about their problems. Logan just packed up and moved out one night. He never explained why!? They are married, and he just walked out with no explanation. WTF? Also, there is no resolution to the same problem at the end. Malik is still fighting, and now Logan is alright with it for some unexplained reason?! Is it because he has Ryan now as a backup? Problem number 2... I never felt a lacking in their relationship to begin with, and now all of a sudden Ryan completes them. Why? Huh? The emotions and angst really had me tearing up, but these 2 issues were too much to give it a 5 star for me. I really wish Ryan would've just gotten his own story instead of being added as a third.

Written well but not likely...

It was written well but a triad really wasn't necessary or believable. I know if I had my soul mate and I was his I wouldn't be bringing someone else in or even acceptable thought. I felt happy for Ryan but he just doesn't fit with Malik and Logan. It just doesn't jive within the intensity of Malik and Logan's love and marriage. Ryan is a likeable character but his involvement and help could have been done as a good friend. I would never judge a triad but it should be more likely. More balanced in the way of emotion and connection.

Not for me.

I am not a fan of threesomes. It just doesn't work for me. I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, especially the first one with Chase and Jackson. Loved Chase. He and Jackson were so cute in the way their relationship started and the HEA. However, I don't think I will be reading any more of this series. The threesome romance just made this series a "not anymore" for me. Sorry.

I gave up. I ended up scrolling through the last part of the book.

This is a story about two men struggling for their marriage. That part of the story was great. Then Ryan entered the story and it just became wired. Two men fighting for their marriage does not need an extra guy (not in my world anyway) they need each other.

I can't say I'm a fan of threesomes, sometimes they are an ok part of a story, but not this time.

Though the story could have flowed a bit more smoothly I really enjoyed the story. Bringing a third into an existing relationship is a difficult thing to write about without it becoming too weird or contrived but you could tell that the characters really cared about each other.

The struggle between the H/H to keep their marriage is amazingly written. I kept tearing up and bookmarked so many pages that i know I'll repeatedly read time and time again. Kudos to the author.

An unexpected turn of events

Gotta say I was surprised at the twist and the way it worked out. It wasn't forced some how believable.

I just finished reading Unknown, Book 3 in the Hooked Series, and Wow….just Wow! This book is absolutely AMAZING! I was so drawn into the story that while reading this I went from one emotional extreme to the next and back again. It runs from heartache to redemption to WOW! This one really packs a punch. I’ve liked all of Ms. Parkerson’s books I’ve read, especially this series, but this one is an all time favorite. I have no doubt I’ll be rereading this story, which I don’t often do with books once read. I love Ms. Parkerson’s writing style, and her angst ridden characters, some searching for love, others running in the opposite direction.
Malik is dedicated to his boxing career, but never stopped loving Logan, his estranged husband. While Logan fills his days as a restaurant manager, he hasn’t managed to get over the love of his life. This story has all the feels and such great chemistry between the characters. Some of the story is again set around Smith Brother’s gym and characters from the first two books make appearances. Sam, their great and protective friend, gets caught in the middle and plays mediator for a good portion of the story, which flows naturally. I found the plot interesting, and the character’s reasoning very true to life. I really enjoyed reading how Malik and Logan worked through their love/hate relationship. Each is willing to sacrifice himself or his happiness for the happiness of his partner. And just when I thought these two might have things all worked out, in steps Ryan, the sexy ginger MMA fighter. And Bam! You’ll have to read it yourself to find out what happens next. I will say it is HOT, HOT, and HOT! Malik, Logan, and Ryan are all three sex on a stick. Malik and Ryan are both tough fighters, and demanding yet gentle with those they care for.
I really can’t do this story justice. It truly is that amazing! I just could not put it down until finished. This is one of the best, if not THE best, M/M romance I’ve read. I love absolutely everything about this book, even the cover, as the image of Model Tim McComsey made a perfect Malik for me.
Ms. Parkerson has true insight into the human psyche, and knows how to torture a character (and a reader), but don’t worry, as she redeems herself before the story ends. I loved, loved, loved this book and HIGHLY recommend Unknown and consider it a must read for M/M romance fans, or any romance fan, for that matter. So get this book. You will not be sorry. Ms. Parkerson does not disappoint.
Unknown could be read as a standalone, but I can’t wait to read more of this series and have already pre-ordered Unstable, book 4, which is Jimmy’s story, releasing November 21. I’m really hoping that tortured soul can find true love, and one who can deal with his defense mechanisms that often seem to manifest as self destructive behavior.

Great Read!!

Enjoyed this book. This is a really good series. I fell in love with Malik, Ryan and Logan from the first sighting. The chemistry between these three was outstanding. Can't wait for the next book. I love this author and this series!

I read Unstable before I read this book so I already kind of knew what was going on in the story when I started it.

All in all it's a solid 3.5 stars. Not amazing but not bad either. I felt like the relationship between the three happened a little fast. Logan and Malik had kind of just repaired their relationship and then they're in a threesome. I've never been in a polyamorous relationship so I can't speak to it very well but I feel like is a little hasty. I understand Ryan and that this is a romance novel, not a "How to Have a Healthy Triad Relationship" novel, but I still feel like the getting together part was a little rushed.

I didn't have any issues with grammar or sentence structure which I can be a real bitch about sometimes. Overall not a bad book, it's worth a read if you're reading the series.

Hot and steamy but the storey just bounced from place to place and then BANG the end.

Although against most folks - I did understand the three of them together. Even though Malik and Logan are married, the greatest loves of each other's lives, and supposedly back together and happy again Ryan does really fit with them. For Malik it is a way for him to know that no matter what Logan will be take care of. For Logan there is now someone that is much more aware of what Malik does on a daily basis and in the ring that is there to help Malik. For Ryan it is a place he can be and feel whole again without breaking his vows.

Whoaaa I loved it, I loved it, I loved it! I didn't read the blurb until the end so the fact that there was a 3rd person came as a surprise, but it was a nice suprise. I really loved Malik and Logan's couple they were adorable and their love story was sweet even without the storyline abour Ryan. Ryan was the cherry on top of a beauiful cake. The only negative point I can't think of is that Ifelt that the ending was a little bit rushed. I could have done with a few more chapters. Nonetheless I moved it.

Vast improvement

This is definitely the best so far in this new series. I totally got why having Ryan in their lives made Logan and Malik's marriage stronger.

Thruples aren't always my cup of tea but I think Charity Parkerson lays enough of the background down to explain why they both needed him for more than just sex.

I'm hoping we get Jimmy's story next as there's clearly something to tell there.

And damn that cover is hot.

I loved this book. The first half was tough, seeing Malik & Logan so clearly in love but hurting each other so much. I enjoyed seeing them put themselves back together with the help of Ryan. A great book I happily recommend. I look forward to the next one.

Love win

Sometimes it takes more than two for a relationship to flourish. The love Logan and Millac share wasn't enough to overcome their problem. Ryan had lost everything but the longing for more than his empty existence . Maybe together they can find everything

Wow. I did not think this story would end as triad, which was a pleasant surprise. Once again, the sex scenes and dirty talk was so hot. I can't wait for the next book to be released.
