The Amplified is my favourite translation of the Bible. What had to have been years of work at determining the best translations and substitutions from Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic to English was well worth the effort.
This updated version of the Amplified Bible focused on increasing readability without sacrificing the accuracy of the original. In some passages, I prefer the textbook-like commitment to accuracy of the original, but in others, the retranslation and rephrasing have opened up the understanding of verses as I had never seen them.
In time, this is what I will preach out of, and spend almost all of my study time with. A terrific update to an exceptional translation.

Easy reading, For me, “A gift from above”.
Easiest Bible To read and understand. Answered many questions about Christianity Ive had for so long. Many churches have it wrong by teaching hell and brimstone. It’s all about Gods love. Reading the text with this in mind. The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed. The New Testament is the Old Testament revealed. You need to understand the old to translate the new. It’s a puzzle, yes. But it teaches us morals and values. If only we could all live up to obeying the Ten Commandments and to treat others as you would want to be treated. The world would be a better place. Reading and understanding with eyes and ears without bias to any religion, as God/Jesus would have it. In the end we are all looking for health, happiness, wealth and love. As with the Law of Attraction and the Law of one. Love, kindness, charity, patience and gratitude and helping the less privileged are keys to change. Not hell and brimstone, that is reserved for the wicked! Start with yourself and forgive you, you are worthy…
So, that’s what I got from this book. A gift.

The Amplified Bible has notes on the translation so you understand the original meaning. When translating you might need to choose between two words or choose a short phrase or single word for readability, but the Amplified Bible will add an explanation for those cases when the word chosen isn’t quite the proper fit. I found it helpful.

I love this translation and it has opened up so much more to study. I am certain I cannot review the content of God’s inspired word. I am certain reading it will change your life just as it has changed mine.

Amazing Study Bible. I love it. There is a topical index in the back which I absolutely love, its a list of word topics in the back with the reference verses attached to it.

An excellent study Bible. It has cleared up several areas that I really didn't understand or missed completely. I highly recommend this Bible if you are looking for a study Bible that digs into some of the nuances of the Bible.
