Darkly humorous, and often shocking, Langside raises disturbing questions as to what we as a society can do to change this numbing pattern of poverty, drugs, and violence.

Langside is a bit different from the other books I've read by Chris Walter. I didn't find it quite as gritty as other novels but still more so than most authors! I really enjoyed Sky as a main character even though he seemed somewhat stupid at times. I didn't know what to think of the conclusion... Somewhat unrealistic but I loved the twist and the raw emotions that it evoked in me.
