Ally Hardy and Jake Harrison are happy and in love. They’re living together, improving their house, and Jake is planning a big surprise.
A man from Ally’s past shows up out of the blue and changes all of that. Vince Dawkins shared a torrid two-month affair with Ally five years ago, but he walked out without a backward glance and his return isn’t cause for celebration in the Hardy household.
Ally’s brother James is suspicious. His relationship with Vince is just as convoluted – and combustible – as Ally’s … and not in a good way.
When Vince is drawn into a Hardy Brothers Security case, James thinks Vince is up to something nefarious. Jake readily agrees and Ally can’t decide how she feels. It doesn’t help that Vince keeps showing up – almost as if he’s following Ally from location to location – and stoking her insecurities.

When the truth finally comes out, the operation is bigger than anyone expects and Ally finds herself in a world of trouble. Can Jake and James get to her in time? And if they do, will Jake finally have the courage to ask a big question and wait for a very important answer?
Only time will tell, but the Hardy family has never been one for surrendering without a fight. This time will be no different.

Ally and Jack are in Love both ready for the next step even if they are having a few miscommunications lol
Oh there were so many laugh out loud moments I really love this series so much for that very reason it makes me laugh.
I was great having Rose and Louis in this one

Deadly patience
Ally is ready, desperately ready for Jake to pop the big question. She's ready to start her own family and spending time with Avery is making her broody.. but Jake doesn't seem to be in any kind of rush.. and when car dealership owner Vince, an ex-boyfriend suddenly turns up after disappearing 5 years ago trouble brews.
Vince broke Ally's heart, well for all of about a week, when he left to go to a business meeting and never returned. He seems to believe he's in with a chance, disregards her relationship with Jake, feeding her insecurities because Jake hasn't asked her to marry him.
Ally's unaware that Jake's already planning a very special date, has asked her father's permission and is shopping for that special ring with Mandy, determined to make a perfect proposal memory for her.
Called in last minute the Hardy Brothers are working security for a big car raffle at the carnival, that just happens to be a promotion for Vince, when the car is stolen right under everyone's noses while Vince is provoking Jake and James it all seems a bit too much.. too much like Vince was making sure he had an alibi, too much of a set up job as the keys are in his pocket, and it's way too much of a risk to steal a bottom of the range car in such a public place.. so when they find the vehicle undamaged hidden in a carpark that's due to be demolished it's obvious that something else is afoot..
As the case confuses everyone, arguments break out and pre-proposal nerves swamp Jake.. they're going to need to work together to solve the mystery.. can they find a way forward before Ally ends up hurt?

Ally is the beautiful, mouthy baby girl in the Hardy family. Mandy is her bestie, married to her brother James, and Jake is Ally’s love and live-in boyfriend.
So when Ally’s ex, Vince turns up after many years, it’s quite a surprise, given that he left in the middle of the night and never returned. But now he wants another chance and Ally is uninterested- she adores Jake and makes that clear.
Unfortunately Vince doesn’t take no for an answer and things turn quite ugly between him and Ally, ultimately ending in a showdown between the two. Thankfully Ally always has Jake and the Hardy’s for support.
A great read, an entertaining series and an absolutely worthwhile read

I am obsessed with this series, and it is very uncommon for me to rate one of the installments less than 5 stars. I've never been a huge fan of Ally and Jake (Ally has just never been my favorite) so I didn't get into the story as much as I normally do. I also was expecting just a liiiiitle bit more action at the end. These are probably nit-picky things on my part, so definitely don't less this deter you from reading this story. I am beyond excited for the darker next installment and can't wait to get started!

Great to visit all the Hardy's again . As usual this story was full of laughs and a few happy tears . If you've not read this series you're missing out on a great read . Highly recommended

Awesome story! Can't wait for the next. Great add to the series! Keeps getting better and better! These guys are hilarious, emotional and fun of twist and turns!
