About the author

Andrew Hess is a resident of Long Island, New York and a Lindenhurst High School Alumni (graduating class of 2001) Having been a fan of writing creative writing and journalism, Andrew found himself with the desire to become an author while studying Psychology at SUNY New Paltz. His first book, Chamber of Souls, debuted in 2011 where he depicted the life of a broken man wallowing in self-pity. Using free verse poetry, he brought this character to life while he journeyed to find himself.

Hess also found himself immersed in the world of mystery and thriller novels. His first Series, The Phoenix Blade, showcased a group of vigilante 20 year olds hired by the government to rid the country of those that have evaded justice. This fictional government conspiracy series currently has three books available and was awarded the Best Series of 2014 by Indie Author Books.

Despite spending most of his life Lindenhurst, Andrew also spent five years living in the New Paltz and Poughkeepsie areas. His return trips helped inspire his second series, The Detective Ryan Series. Currently, there are two books in the action packed series that depicts the life of Detective Ali Ryan as she investigates a series of murders while struggling to keep her family together.

Superb! Amazing! Fantastic! I could go on and on with how great this book is. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. Just when you think you have figured it all out, Andrew throws in another twist to the plot to keep you on your toes.

From the moment I read the first book in the series, The Campus Killer, I was hooked. A. Hess had me captured and wanting to know more. Each book has gotten better and better with more twists and turns that you won’t see coming.

Andrew has a unique talent and writes mystery/suspense books extremely well. He has a talent for the twisted and suspense. I never know what to expect from his books but I know that at the end I am going to want to know more. I love his style of writing and how he keeps your attention from the beginning to the end – really till the next book and the next and the next….

Andrew has a tremendous skill in the suspense that I would rank him right up with Stephen King, James Patterson, and other suspense writers.

If you have not read a book by Andrew then I recommend grab the first book in the series, The Campus Killer, and get started right away. I find it best to read the books in order (The Campus Killer, Scorned, Conviction). You will be just as drawn into the books as I am.

Fantastic job again Hess! Ali finds herself working several cases while trying to make a connection to the Puppet Master. Meanwhile he has his sights on finishing her off this book. Talk about keeping you on the edge of your seat. Hess doesn't hold back in killing off the characters in this book and certainly drives us crazy with the twists and turns. I actually never figured out who the killer was until it was revealed, which is a true rarity for me. Very well done Mr. Hess, I look forward to read the next installment!

Absolutely Fantastic!!!! Loved it!!! This book has you on the edge of your seat on what is going to happen next. This book is action packed. This book will give you an adriliane rush that keeps on until the end of the book. This is the best mystery suspense book I have read this year. I highly recommend reading this book. I'm looking forward to reading more books from Andrew Hess.
