For the first time ever, all three novellas in the Tempted Trilogy by Elizabeth Kelly are available as one set.
Lucy Reid has always prided herself on her self-control and her ability to keep her emotions and desires in check. The arrival of her new boss, Jason Young, has her co-workers competing to see who can bed him first. Lucy refuses to admit her own attraction to him, and his rude behavior towards her only strengthens her resolve to ignore her growing attraction.
When a power outage traps her in the elevator with her sexy new boss, she soon discovers his coldness hides his own dark desire for her. Jason is determined to show her just how good it can feel to lose control, and Lucy is aching to give in to the sweet temptation.
Author’s This book contains explicit and steamy sex scenes that may not be your cup of tea. It is intended for mature readers only.
Elizabeth Kelly is a romance novelist who spends her days writing and pushing her cat Murray off the keyboard. She firmly believes that a person can survive solely on sushi and coffee, and only her husband's mad cooking skills prevents her from proving that theory.
She also writes contemporary and paranormal romance under her alter-ego "Ramona Gray".
How does a woman , who is so weak should even be considered for an executive position. There were so many things she could have done, if she was ,at the very least, a thinker... to protect herself. In this case, she should have been a bimbo secretary because ,in reflection, there is NO WAY, that the elevator scene should have happened the way it did, if she had any semblance of a brain.
I received an advanced author’s copy in exchange for my honest review. I read Breathless before these, not knowing it was apart of this world/series. So going back was a nice way to tie in that little bit of back story. First off Jason and Lucy are a hot and intense couple. Several issues and situations are in their way, but it can't keep them apart. I couldn't put it down. I felt for the characters and can easily see both their point of views. The bundle helps with a smooth read through from start to finish. These two can't stay away from each other and you son't want them to!
4 stars for the first novella, 3 stars for the second and third. The first novella really dives right in and delivers. I expected more character building in the second and third; we find out a bit about the heroine, but not much about the hero. It tended towards melodrama, especially in the third - I'm not a huge fan of the trope that was used to move the action forward. Still worth reading, but the first novella as a freebie would satisfy (*wink*) most readers.
This is a good, fast read series. The dialogue is great (funny) and the scenes are HOT. Definitely also read Breathless- while not technically part of the series, it does provide a little more closure to Lucy and Jason's story.
