Now, Liam must decide - will he stand by and watch Jasmine fall for someone else or will he fight for the love he doesn't even think he deserves?

This book was okay, but it dragged on and on. The story had a lot of momentum and I was entertained until the middle of the story going towards the ending. Jasmine and Liam gave me a headache because their relationship was exhausting. Jasmine, a lawyer, is upset at a man that will not take her serious. Keep in mind that she slept with Liam with in two seconds of knowing him. I like Jasmine as the female lead but I just wish that her character was little bit more developed. I do discover some things about her and that made me understand her character. Liam is a whole other case because he is ex-military and has this huge scar on his face. He is very insecure about this scar and it has a major impact on his relationship with Jasmine.

I have to say that when I read the blurb, I was under the impression that Liam would have to fight for Jasmine. She is barely even dating in this story. It's just a guy who she sees from time to time. Liam is only fighting against himself because Jasmine only wants him. It took Liam 55 chapters to figure it out.

Nothing really happened in this story. Okay, here is the plot: intern, sex, meet again 2 years later, sex again, upset because he wants to be friends, no sex, make up, and then sex. The story did not have depth to me. I needed a little bit more.

Well developed characters and a driving plot kept me turning pages to get through this book; had me cheering for both Jasmine and Liam, as well as giving me a few moments of wanting to shake them both to make them stop being dorks. Definitely worthwhile reading for lovers of romance.

Jasmine has a one night stand with one of the partners where is she an intern. He promises to call but never does. Now two years later she is still pining over him. When fate brings them together again can she break through Liam's shard shell in order to save him and make them both happy? Liam doesn't think he deserves the beautiful Jasmine and tells her they can only be friends but when another man steps into the mix will he be able to fight his demons to win the woman he needs and loves. Well developed and at times complex characters along with some known ones from the Esquire series. This stand alone book will leave you cussing Liam and praying for Jasmine and the hot sex scenes will leave you satisfied.

This was a good read and held my attention right until the last page. It's well written and well presented. It's a very simple romance with a lovely story line and I liked it. I liked it more until I read the free prequel at the end. I think the mystique of the one-night-stand which was maintained throughout the book was totally lost in the free excerpt. I almost wish I hadn't read it. The author kind of unpicked her own plot, which was a shame. She built up such a passionate image and then blew it with awkward speech. Definitely read the novel, it's worth it but maybe skip the free part at the end.

Beast

I did something I don't do...I bought this book and it had absolutely no reviews when I did...it sounded good to me and I liked the cover so I bought it. I was not disapointed , I liked it. At times I wanted to strangle Liam Cartwright , I mean couldn't he see Jasmine was in love with him from the beginning??!! OK. I understand he was hesitant because his scars and all but hell I fell in love with him too :-) this was good book I enjoyed it and I didn't waste 99 cents. I would love to read more books from this author

It's was a great romance, like real life totally misguided.
Missed opportunities, missed placed fears and full of self-doubt.
I began to fear ,that Liam's hesitation, trepidation and out right bullheaded fixation was going derail a raging passion for Jasmine. This can be a stand alone book,I never read the first book and feel satisfied with the story the it stands. I well reread this for sure. Totally Enjoyed this romanrcebook.

This author is new to me and I love discovering new ones.
The storyline was unlike anything I have read before. I felt somewhat sad about some things, felt the emotions from the characters and the sizzling tension between them was off the charts. Jasmine needs to make some decisions and things dont turn out how she expects.
All in all a good read.

Cassie-Ann L. Miller is a new author to me and I bought "Beast" simply because the cover appealed. It was a story of Liam Cartwright who was severely injured in Afghanistan & a young women with whom he'd had a one-nnight stand two years ago & never contacted again, despite their chemistry & his spoken intent to contact her. Jasmine cannot get past the hurt of Liam's rejection and when he returns to work as the Managing Partner of the law firm where she is an associate, she is even more confused by his attitude. So we have a soldier suffering from severe PTSD and a young woman still pining over an amazing one-nnight stand...

You will have to read the book for answers, sorry! But it's an easy read, lots of back & forth with interference from friends, another would-be suitor who doesn't stand a chance & a very crabby older father (Liam's,, not Jasmine's). I will definitely read more bye this author.
