This is a quick, hot read. I would place it more in the erotica genre than erotic romance, as it lacked development of any credible relationship between Gunner and Brianna. However it was steamy, easy to read and entertaining enough in a bubble-gum and candy-floss way, sweet and flavoursome at the time but not long lasting. I wasn't convinced as to why a virgin would choose a public play scene with a man she really didn't know as the place to lose said virginity.
If the author had explored Brianna's decision more, which on paper felt like a very impulsive choice that didn't hold water, this would have improved the story. I got the impression that losing her virginity in public would not have been her ideal choice. So why did she? The reason given within the story was one that would quickly have been reversed in real life. Exploring the decision and Brianna's feelings would have not only strengthened the plot, but would also have given this book real depth.
99 pages just isn't long enough to do more than give the bare bones of a tale. A novella has to sacrifice something, and in this case it was getting to truly know our hero and heroine, so that instead we could have several very hot and heavy scenes. If you go in not expecting anything more than to be lightly entertained, then you will enjoy this. I got it free in

This is a scintillating role-play, combining lust, BDSM and romance.
Gunnar is the gorgeous, yet stern Viking master, who is brought in to dominate Breanna, yet ends up needing much more than that.
As ever with Farrell's writing, the narrative is smooth, the characters well-rounded, and the BDSM sex leaves you panting for more!
It's a definite return to Replay for me...

What a pleasant surprise! I don’t think I’ve read Nia Farrell before but REPLAY BOOK 2 is going to be on my TBR shelf.
Read as part op a box set and this is the reason why multiple authors together is fun 😃. Sometimes you find a new author you like.

Excellent BDSM set in a club of sorts.
I really enjoyed this story, I am very fond of Role Playing and Theatre and that is what story is all about. It has great depth and detail for the Role Playing scene and I really liked that. The characters are described in good detail and I liked them a lot.

If you have ever lusted after Eric Northman in True Blood, this is the book for you! Breanna is talked into doing something out of this world by her twin sister for their 22nd birthday. Breanna’s goal? To have the man of her dreams, Gunnar, take her v-card.
Gunnar reminded me a lot of Eric’s True Blood character both when he was super cocky and got everything he wanted and when we changed a little as he became enamored for the person he was falling for.
You’re in for some role-play (viking style), hot sex scenes, and a HEA. Must read!!!

5 Stars for the First Book in a Hot New Series
As a big fan of Nia Farrell's Three Graces series, I was excited to learn that she's begun writing a new series set at Replay, the BDSM resort we first visited in Something Special. The resort allows guests to indulge in their most erotic fantasies in historic settings.
In Book 1 of the Replay series, Viking Raid, identical twin sisters Breanna and Rowena are musicians employed by the resort. They provide era-appropriate background music to many of the resort's most decadent scenes.
It was there that virgin Breanna first saw Gunnar, the sex-on-legs Viking leader, as he directed the action in a scene. She knew she wanted him to be her first. So with their twenty-second birthday approaching, she and her more experienced sister sign on to celebrate with a Viking raid, on the condition that Gunnar is the one who takes Breanna.
Although she tries to keep herself in check, Breanna realizes she's falling hopelessly in love with the rugged Viking. Will Gunnar change his mind about taking on a permanent submissive?

Replay is a BDSM resort, located near the ocean, that allows it’s guests to fulfill their BDSM fantasies in a historical setting. It goes all out with it’s music, settings, and actors to meet the demands of its guests. Replay book 1, though, is less about the guests and more about several of its staff.

This is the first (official) book in the Replay series, but the 2nd actually set at the BDSM themed resort where patrons role play in the past (J.T. took Nico & Grace there in Something Special, The Three Graces Book 6).
The depth of detail the author portrays regarding the period chosen for this particular "scene" (a Viking plundering) is fantastic, from the costumes, the physical setting descriptions, to the musical instruments played! Everything is exact and realistic.
The chemistry between the Viking Dom, Gunnar, and the "ready to lose her virginity" Breanna is sizzling. Gunnar only wants to plunder the virgin for one scene, but is Breanna finding herself falling for the unavailable Dom?
This novella is the start of an exciting and mega-hot new series by author Nia Farrell and I look forward to the next "vacation" at Replay!

I started this book and couldn't put it down, finishing it in just a few hours. Farrell sets the setting for Replay, a resort for groups and people to enjoy erotic roleplay of bygone era's. We meet Breanna, a twin who wants to lose her virginity on her 22nd Birthday, on stage, with her sister Rowena, also on stage, at the other side.
She choses to lose her virginity to the masculine, strong and highly sexual, Dominate, Viking Gunnar. A man who she has seen perform, but never given himself over to any woman. She is sexually intrigued by him, drawn to him, needing for him to take her. Viking Raid builds on Breanna's innocence, while creating exciting sexual tension. Am starting the next book, Triple Play immediately.

This was another short novella by this author that I really enjoyed. Gunnar is a wealthy man who decided he wanted to do a scene with Breanna. A one time deal but it wasn’t going to be a one time thing for either of them. She found him to be super attractive and interesting and he wanted her just as much. Breanna was still a Virgin also, so this was an important to her. It had to be with someone she wanted and could be comfortable with. It was a great story, and I loved it ❤️❤️

I received this book as a gift and enjoyed reading it. After having recently watched the first season of Westworld on HBO, the idea of an adult theme park appealed to me. I liked the characters in this story: two twin sisters; one being more adventurous than the other who's still a virgin but ready to have her cherry popped by a Viking at Replay, a BDSM theme resort, where they are musicians who provide background music. The author writes excellent descriptions of male attributes. That was my favorite part of the book.

Replay is a resort that caters to the intersection of "detailed historical re-enactment" and "kink". Because, why not?
It might be perverse of me (and, well, "perverse" works), but I absolutely love the authors attention to costume detail, sometimes pausing a scene in mid-debauch to detail the intricacies of wardrobe. Passion is passion, after all.
The scenes are hot. The characters are relatable. And NOBODY there crosses the Wardrobe Mistress. This book is a great introduction to the series.

Finally, the series has begun...
I've had this on my tbr list for a while now and am beyond excited to read the rest! Beautiful scenes are painted, and the historical details described are amazing. The writing has a lyrical cadence that lulls you into another time and leaves you wanting more.

I met this author at a book signing and bought the whole set. The whole idea of something different like a role playing resort. How fun? Each book a different theme. I think he book are just maybe alittle to short for me. But very good. I would recommend this book to friends :)

If you like some history and role playing with your BDSM books then you are about to buy the right book that is hot as all get out with an interesting story line that I really enjoyed!! I definitely recommend this book and I also recommend you find a quiet corner that's private where you can get lost in the exciting world Nia has weaved for your reading pleasure!!
