Treasured Love: Treasure Harbor #3 is by Patricia PacJac Carroll. It is included in the Treasure Harbor Complete Series set by Leah Atwood, Belle Calhoune, Patricia Pacjac Carroll, Kristen Ethridge and Angel Moore. This series consists of “eight novellas centered around the quest to find the treasure hidden by Drake Burton, in the seventeen-hundreds.” Legend says that the treasure is somewhere near Treasure Harbor, North Carolina. Thousands of treasure seekers have come to Treasure Harbor looking for the treasure. Kori James had come to join them.
Kori James had been brought up in a small town by her Grandmother. Her Mother had gotten involved with drugs and alcohol and a bad group of people. Kori was just as glad her Mother wasn’t with her to spoil things again. Kori had come to Treasure Harbor to find a treasure. With it, she could get away somewhere her Mother couldn’t find her. Now, she had to get a job and a place to stay. It didn’t look like her car was going anywhere. Luckily, she got a job at the diner and the Everetts gave her a place to stay. She had met Max Tilton and had already been warned against him. However, if he could help her find the treasure, she would let him.
Max Tilton had a bad boy reputation which he didn’t deserve. The townspeople thought his family knew where the treasure was since one of his ancestors had been the only survivor of the Burton shipwreck. That would be the only reason he had money to purchase a boat to take fishermen and birders out on the water. It never occurred to the townspeople that it was a small inheritance from his Grandfather which allowed him to purchase the boat. Max, however, didn’t really care what the townspeople thought unless it interfered with his business. When he met Kori, however, he now had a reason to regret his reputation. Could he convince Kori to overlook what people said?
As Kori and Max look for treasure, Kori begins to change her mind about Max and treasure hunting. That is, until her Mother showed up.
Like the first two, this book is really good and entertaining.
