♥♥♥

THESE BOOKS ARE NOTHING LIKE A SHADE OF VAMPIRE SERIES. THEY ARE WAY BETTER.

I really hope the next book is better. The only two reasons I am going to continue reading this series is I want to see what happens between Eleira and Raul, and I get to read them for free with Kindle Unlimited. If I would have had to pay for the next books I am not sure I would.

It was hard for me to get through this book. I usually give up and quit reading when that happens and it does not happen to me very often. I am starting to get disappointed with this series. I really do hope something happens soon with Eleira and Raul. That is the only reason I am still going to read this series.

There was some action in this book, and James was still being an ass. There was total destruction of The Haven at the end of the book. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens in the next book. I hope things get figured out with Eleira too. I don't want her to be a bad witch. I know that is what they are trying to do to her. Maybe she will over come it we will again have to wait and see.

I am sorry for the short review but I am disappointed in this book.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog.

Until Next Time: Happy Reading.

Non-stop Delight

The deeper I go, the more I am enjoying this world. This author writes just the way I like it: non-stop action. I barely get the chance to catch my breath before the next event happens. I'm deciding on how I feel in regards to the characters. To me, by the end of this second book it seems like each one is on the edge of discovering who they really are. The violence is great and just the right amount. The intrigue is delicious and because that, I can't wait to see what happens next. This series is easily becoming one of my favorites!

Interesting read

I enjoy the action and the continual suspense. I am still not a fan of the constant change of character voice.

The Vampire Gift 2: Kingdom of Ash

I love this book and can't wait to start reading the next one.... the characters are starting to come together and it's so great to see who is set to destroy the Haven from the inside and why. All the twists and turns are so great.. the ending made me want more can't wait to finish this review so I can't start reading the next book....

I hope you enjoy this series as much as I do...

Suspenseful Paranormal Series

I could not stop reading this story that is full of twists and turns that keep you on the edge. It is a romance story but not a typical one at all. I highly recommend this series and sorry don't want to reveal all and spoil this truly well written series.

I wanted to give this series another chance after book 1.
But still at the end I didn't feel like continuing again... the story just didn't GIVE me anything. Not even a feel/strong impression of the characters. I mean the biggest impression the main character gave me was that she says "wonderful" at entirely inappropriate times. And then there where the three brothers: the "bad guy", "the conflicted one" and the "nerd". The setting and plot made me think this could get intense/interesting. But the motives behind the storys moving characters seem to be soooo original, guess what: Power and world domination. There is nothing in the two books that has fascinated, excited, inspired or moved me in anyway.

Good but slow

I starting to understand the pattern of these books. Like the first book this book is a constant lead up until the end. There is nothing really going on until the very end. I still have problems with flash backs there are no real warnings and it is all present tense most of the time but randomly switches tense in the middle of the flashbacks. If it was for the italics some of them I would have not even known they where flashbacks. The story is good except is needs to hurry up a little. The issues has cause the rating to drop to about 3.4 which rounds down to three.

I gave this two stars only because I finished it though that has more to do with the fact that I bought the first seven books on a sale and feel compelled to read them (though I suspect this might be the last one). The writing is poor and needs editing. The characters are stick figures with nothing to flesh out why they act as they do. The story is nonsensical with huge plot holes. I get that a lot of people like this, but it's not for me though I like vampire books.

Betrayed and mistakes

One minute James and Victoria think they are on top of the world. Power will be theirs but when Raul shows up to get Eleira back they miscalculate and the tables are turned. Eleira has more power than they realize and are overpowered by her. Raul and Eleira return to the Haven with James and Victoria their prisoners. James is immediately charged by his mother to become a Convicted and is jailed. Mayhem ensues and who will survive all the betrayals.

Similarities

I can see the similarities between this and shades of a vampire. Evil father, brothers hating each other and a human turned vampire, who becomes a powerful asset. Wicked witch, living in tree tops, the list is endless. I'm finding it a bit like I've read it all before.

Didn't hold my interesting others

It felt like it dragged you along while you waited to see what happened next but not reAlly caring because you didn't really care one way or the other. I loved the first book but this one never really grabbed my attention. Think I'm finished with this series.

At first this book was going well and then it just lost my attention as it slows down. I'm not big on the whole bad witch and powers part. Only reason I'm still reading the book is to see how Raul and Eleira life goes. I like clean books and these books so far are clean with no sex. We shall see how the third book goes or if I want to finish the series.

Read this in a box set. Books 1,2,3

I felt this pack was well worth the buy.
The storyline was interesting and drew me in.
Contains some Romance, there is a hint of rape, some violence and I can’t remember any course language. I think that this story could suit a young adult.
The narrator is a wonderful job. Giving each character their own unique voice.
I enjoyed it.

Ends on a cliffhanger

10.01.21 | just like the first book, this is also slow
paced. even though i was dreading to know what’s going to happen next, i do understand the writing style and pattern in order for readers to understand more. i’ll surely read the next book because i’m invested and i really do want to know what happens next!!

Enjoyable BUT...

I'm really enjoying these books BUT I wish there was a little bit of fun in them! It seems like all there is is fighting and misery! If it continues I may stop reading this series. :(

Very INTERESTING 😉

This book is like watching GOT (in a sense) it's more intriguing than you think, you get hooked on it and you truly can't put the book down, especially because everyone has their PERSONAL MOTIVES! ON to the next one, can't wait to see what happens next.....

Book 2 is as great as the 1st.

Chaos among the Vampires....an empire that is protected by a powerful witch/ vampire is the target. But the humans who live there and are protected by the Queen and her officers and the Vampires under her will be fodder for another.

Well, I wasn’t impressed by the 1 st book, and I must say this one is much, much worse. I will not read book 3. I will not waste my time or money again. This series is all over the place. It’s random and irrational.

Great series

I am a huge BDB fan and love that series. I stumbled into this series quite by accident and couldn't be more pleased. Read book one and see if you like it as well. It is a great storyline

Getting there

I was surprised that I am actually enjoying this series. I am really enjoying the characters and it's not difficult to keep up with each one and their agendas. Each character is unique. Going to begin the third book. Happy reading...
